welcome back to the DUI Channel we're in
Mundelein Illinois where on July 20th
2020 at 10 39 a.m a Mundelein Police
Officer responded to the intersection of
Illinois State Route 83 and U.S Route 45
in reference to a driver slumped over
behind the wheel the officer stopped his
squad car behind a white vehicle with
hazard lights on and instructed the
occupants of the reporting vehicle to
pull into the parking lot of a nearby
gas station he then approached the
parked green 2004 Ford Focus as his
investigation begins

to further investigate the suspect for
impaired driving

the road because we are in the middle of

under arrest for suspicion of DUI okay
driving under the influence of alcohol

total of five empty beers we're located
on the floorboards of the front seats
following the arrest the suspect was
taken to the Mundelein Police Department
for further DUI processing

to hold that position for 30 seconds

stand we're gonna do remain in the same
position you were as the balance test
with your arms down at your sides you're
going to take one of your feet either
your right or left foot you choose which
one you're going to lift that foot
approximately six inches above the
ground and you're gonna count out loud
to 30 or 30 seconds if at any time you
put your foot down I want you to lift it
right back up and continue counting
where you left off all right look down
at your feet the entire time arms down
at your sides go ahead and begin

the last thing we'll have to do is call

your feet the entire time and count your

suspect was eventually read the Illinois
warning to motorist form and consented
to providing a breath alcohol sample

the sample yielded a result of 0.248
breath alcohol content
in court the suspect John was charged
with the operation of uninsured motor
vehicle transportation or possession of
alcoholic liquor in a motor vehicle
stopping standing or parking outside
business or residence district and two
counts of driving Under the Influence or
DUI
on December 14 2020 four months and 24
days after the arrest the defendant
entered a plea deal which disposed the
second count of DUI as withhold judgment
with the remaining four charges disposed
as Nola prosequay this means the
prosecution chose to no longer pursue
these charges on December 13 2021 the
terms of the sentencing were completed
and the disposition became terminated
satisfied He was ordered to pay
3162.70 in total assessments this amount
has been paid in full John was further
sentenced to no time in jail supervised
supervision for one year 100 hours of
public service and ordered to attend DUI
School
