Florida a Riverview man was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer using a rented SUV disguised as a patrol vehicle a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper observed the individual driving a 2023 black Cadillac SUV rented from Avis rental cars on I 4 just east of I75 the trooper found the Cadillac suspicious due to its emergency light bar mounted in the rear window what appeared to be a dash camera on the windshield and windows tinted darker than the legal limit upon checking the SUV's license plate an alert indicated that a vehicle matching its description and tag number had been reported for possibly impersonating a law enforcement officer while displaying red and blue lights the trooper observed emergency lights mounted in the front window a computer stand with a laptop and other police related accessories the driver was argumentative and could not provide a rental agreement proof of insurance or registration for the vehicle which he claimed he borrowed from a friend s sir I'm trying to figure out exactly what do I have in response to what you're doing because I don't understand understand what you're doing you're you're I've conducted a traffic stop right and
