a stop sign police officers informed Jarvis that they were going to search his vehicle but he refused when officers attempted to remove the 40-year-old from the car he took off dragging both officers down the street before crashing the vehicle Jarvis later filed a federal lawsuit claiming violations of his fourth amendment rights including unreasonable search and seizure being prevented from leaving the traffic stop when officers entered his car and false arrest the state dropped charges against Jarvis for battery on law enforcement and drug possession and a civil suit was settled out of vehicle I had one of his arms he was trying to grab him and he took his right hand cuz he was already to sit it on and put it in drrive at that point I couldn't let go so I had to hold on to the wheel cuz I was afraid of getting run over so I held on to the wheel I tried to pull reach over and pull it and put it in park to try to stop it couldn't reach I try to put it in try to use the other hand to try to get it turn where did you have a hold of I had a hold of like the door when I was trying to get a hold of him cuz he took off and I wasn't trying to get ran over either so in the process of him putting in the drive I try to yank him and then when he started going hit the gas I held on to the wheel and then I held on from the arm so so I didn't get pull out so as he gets here we have a
