it's just another day in the twin cities minding your own business until this happens yes on the right side of your screen that is a police car chasing a prius hybrid in the rain and mud and incredibly that prius is the little prius that could there were two pits there now they're in the median and there's a third attempt maybe a fourth in the median which is full somehow somehow they're still going that median is full of mud and melted snow and rain water but somehow that prius is still going to be specific this is the twin cities in the north west metro heading southbound on 169 in the cities of champlain and then osseo now the black charger that's off the left side of your screen unfortunately lost the battle with the prius the officer stated his car was out of commission that's certainly the first time we've seen a prius beat out a charger but of course this chase is not over and it's only going to get more interesting and we're not sure but curious if the large battery pack in the back of the prius is affecting what you'd expect the normal weight distribution be for a vehicle making it a little less vulnerable to a pit but here's the end of the chase there's actually no pit there and i think perhaps prior damage to the vehicle may have played a roll plus the slick roads but if you watch that again or if you rewind you will see there's no contact from the squad car the suspect does get out runs from officers but is successfully apprehended by the police officer and his canine the suspect was evaluated by paramedics for a canine bite on the right side of your screen there's state patrol doing it carrying some momentum to get through that median since there is so much snow melt out there it's there's really a fair amount of water in in the the medians there you
