Officers spotted her driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Before they even reached her window, she had already hit a curb hard enough to blow out both tires on the driver's side. When officers approached, she was slurring her words and a strong odor of alcohol was coming from inside the vehicle. She denied everything, said she wasn't slurring, said she hadn't been drinking, said there was no reason to step out. She locked her doors. She rolled up her windows. She called someone on her phone while officers stood outside issuing warnings. Officers warned her they would break the window. The window was smashed. She was physically removed from the vehicle and placed on the ground. Once in custody, officers confirmed a strong odor of intoxicating beverage and continued slurred speech. She refused to get into the patrol unit until her sergeant arrived. Officers told her they were not waiting.
