Uh, her phone is showing dead prior to when you confirm she leaves the house. All right. The one thing I will ask you is listen to me. I'll work with anybody. Do you understand me? >> Yeah. >> All right. If something happened in this accident, now's the time. >> I wish I could, Mike. Believe I I don't heaven. I love her to [ __ ] death, too. I don't know where the [ __ ] she's at. >> On September 13th, 2021, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Daniel A. Taylor was brought in for questioning in connection with the death of Crystal Garney, who had died as a result of a gunshot wound. Spoiler details are in the video description, and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> So, we're going back to David. So, you moved in, moved out, and then David disappears, though. So, you've been there since early to June. You've been staying there. >> Mhm. >> Okay. No, I moved back out for a while because of David. We uh >> When do you think you moved back out? >> Uh the day he got arrested. >> When did we get him? I can't remember. >> I believe it was sometime in July. >> Yeah, I think it was we pulled him over around Columbus. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And then when did you go back? >> Week and a half, two weeks ago now. I was staying over at Dave Bradberry's house on Harbor. >> Yeah. You got the garage out back. >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> There was a little bit of mouth here and there been back. >> Somebody tried burning me up in the [ __ ] thing. >> Is that what happened over there? >> I I hope it wasn't intentional, but I mean, >> were you staying in the garage? >> Mhm. You still [ __ ] That's the last one on the side here. It's finally uh That's horrible. Did you get treatment? You get taken care of or no? >> Just kept, you know, did you tell the fire you were inside when >> did you tell the fire department that >> I wasn't there when they got there? >> Took off. >> I after a car that was [ __ ] pulling away >> and I ended up at Crystal's and I started chasing damn damn down that way. >> Yeah. >> I woke her uh climb through a window, woke her up in a pain [ __ ] frenzy and [clears throat] basically she told me, "Okay, get your ass here. You're going to be safe." Yep. Do >> you have any recent issues with with Crystal? >> No. >> No arguments or anything? Nope. >> No. Like just stupid words exchange? >> No. >> Before like the animosity between Dave and you say when he put his hands on her day, you know, the one day I made him [ __ ] leave that she was feeling some type of way towards me. Of course, cuz I made her boyfriend leave. Like you ain't going to say your You guys can all you all you want to say what you want, but you put your hands or anything? Absolutely not. Okay. All right. So, take me through Tuesday, >> you know, all day. Uh, do you have the truck all day? Trying to remember if I had Tuesday all day, Tuesday evening, like afternoon time. Uh, he told me keys are in. I was like, "Okay." So, I'm going to try to make some kind of money doing something, you know? I mean, got a truck. I can go stra whatever. You know what I mean? Where'd you go? Tuesday evening back together. >> I want to say it wasn't until Wednesday that I actually used the goddamn thing for real. No, I think I ain't going to lie. Like I told you, uh I was high. So I don't quite if it was Tuesday or Wednesday. I went and [ __ ] loaded up some scrap. Um took some some [clears throat] of that in. >> You use that Wednesday? >> Yeah, either either Tuesday or Wednesday. One of the two. I'm sorry. uh between everything else and and then all this [ __ ] back and forth last couple days, it's kind of, you know what I mean? >> If it wasn't in my head, >> whether it's Tuesday or Wednesday, what's where did you pick scrap up and where did you all come? You know what I mean? Here, uh Ashville mainly shits on the side of the road, whatever. Um had a dude named Chad. I met him through a buddy of mine. He was riding around with me. I can't use my ID to, you know, go to the scrapyard because they're receiving stolen property charges. [clears throat] You can use his. So, I had him with me helping out. Uh, >> what scrapard did you take it to? >> Um, connect. Is it the name anyone that's over there? >> Oh, off of uh 58 and Samuel down there. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Yep. >> What time you think you got to connect? Tuesday or Wednesday? evening time. It was close to then were closer than closing. >> Okay. >> Do you think that's the day that >> it was Tuesday >> that Crystal went missing? >> It was Tuesday because it was the following day. >> I was going to go out again and uh she wasn't so I didn't I didn't leave. >> Okay. So, it's Tuesday. >> Mhm. Sorry about that. >> It's all right. I probably have it now. Okay. And Tuesday night, what goes on in the evening? made us dinner and [ __ ] hanging out. It was uh me and Crystal later that night, I believe is when Daniel Barnum and his friend Chris came by. I'll sit around both sitting, you know, got high, hanging out, having you having a good night for real. Uh so it's just a four of you. It's one, Chris, you and Crystal. >> Yes. >> All of you guys got high. >> Mhm. >> And when you say hi, it's Crystal now. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then >> I'm I'm sorry. You know, I'm not trying to commit no [ __ ] >> I'm not worried about the math use right now. I'm just trying to figure out. >> That's all I'm saying. I ain't going to hide. You know what I mean? Just give it to you the way it is. >> Chris, stop by all. What time do you think Barnum and Chris left that at night? >> And it can be approximate. I know you don't know the exact times. And I know it was later uh midnight 1:00 >> right around in there. And like I said, I believe Tuesday was the first day that uh that that Tanya chick came and she given Crystal some money. Uh she had to work that night. Tanya moved in or showed up. Tanya showed up Tuesday sometime. >> Either Monday or Tuesday. Yes. So, I I wonder if I remember right, it was Tuesday cuz she had showed up, did all you know, I met her, they made their little deal on how much >> Where was she in the crash at >> in that downstairs room cleaned out? She used to have all the tools and [ __ ] back. >> Yeah, I' been starting to [ __ ] like everything else going on. I ain't [ __ ] really been on nothing. I was supposed to get that room, >> Jones. >> Okay. Been supposed to get that damn thing cleaned out for her and I just outside of making sure Heather and kids are cool and >> you know back and forth with everybody about Crystal, I ain't really been worried about much anything else. >> Okay. >> So, they left around midnight 1:00 a.m. What happens after they leave? >> Uh me and Chris sitting there bullshitting. Uh probably about say I don't know like between 4 and 6. You know what I'm saying? I'd say say between 3 and 6 roughly. I went and laid down, you know, hang out in my room for a minute. Still trying to organize all my [ __ ] get my [ __ ] you know, somewhat out of bags and folded and all this other [ __ ] >> Okay. uh woke up, used the bathroom. She heard me come back upstairs, asked me to get her some ice water, said she was hungry. I knew it was about time to take her pills, so I made a seat sometime. >> What time you got up and down? >> 7 8 went around in there. >> You weren't sick very long. >> No, I probably honestly don't even fell as sick. You know what I mean? [laughter] Uh sometimes I lay down, I kind of just sit on for a little while. Sometimes I'll fall asleep. >> The bathroom and you said, "Where was Crystal at that time?" >> She's in her bedroom. >> She was up. >> Mhm. >> What' she ask you to do? >> She asked me to get her a cup of ice water. I got her a cup of ice water. When I brought that up, she said she's about to take her pills and needs to eat. I asked her if uh she checked her blood her uh sugar and [ __ ] yet. She said no. So, she was about to do that. do her insulin and everything, but she's got to eat with, you know, so what do you want for breakfast? And kind of cater into her lately, you know, let her [ __ ] sit down, chill. >> Mhm. >> Made her some breakfast. We ate, got high, and I went back room for a little while. And that's when I do remember dozing off. What I woke up to was her peeking in there saying she was about to be sleeping. >> She made breakfast, >> you ate. Mhm. [clears throat] >> Ate. She took her pills. You guys got high. Then you went to bed. [clears throat] You can sleep after taking a nap. >> I can I can smoke an ounce right now and yawn while I'm doing it, bro. >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> Doing well. >> And that's the that's why I won't say that's why, but a lot of people will respect the fact that I don't give a [ __ ] whether I have or not. If I got it, cool. If I don't poop and before >> No, you're an [ __ ] without it now. >> So what you smoke you go to bed and you said >> I'm talking about you know what happens is she had in your room. >> Yeah. About newness, >> you know. Said, "Hey, I'm about to be taken off." I said, "All right, love you. See you later. Be careful." >> I assume she'd have been back shortly. She ain't ever gone but a couple hours unless she know unless I, you know, something planned out to go say a night with somebody or or whatever. >> [snorts] >> She [clears throat] >> what she told you she had to go do or what was your understanding she had to do? >> I knew she had to go she was supposed to go and pay a water bill that night. >> Okay. >> So I I I figured that would you know what I mean? >> I try not getting too into hey well what are you going to eat with you know all this [ __ ] I assume she's going to pay a water bill. Probably go to the grocery store cuz I know I've given her like 40 bucks some chocolate milk and [ __ ] you know the grocery store. Excuse me. Yep. And uh it was like a half hour to an hour later I was moing my ass on up out of the bed to go get have her and the boys come over for a while. Chris been having her come over help clean and you know do [ __ ] like that cuz she feels like a burden on me for having me do everything for her which I don't mind a bit. >> Mhm. Um, so yeah, I went to go get her and the boys and I figured, you know, shortly after >> when you came downstairs, Crystal's out there, >> right? And I seen the van still there. So at that point, I knew somebody had to have picked her up. I know she ain't going to go walk anywhere. She ain't like walking across the street, goes to C, let alone walk, >> you know. >> Y left and got them too. All been free. The two boys. >> You loved him. What did you go do? >> Picked Heather and the boys up from Bradber's. >> What happened to you? Come on. >> We come back out for a while. Made them lunch. Me and her sat down, smoked on it. She started cleaning. I'm continued on going through my [ __ ] my room. My is still a disaster. Nowhere near as bad as when I first brought my [ __ ] Yeah, that Mike Reo dude staying there for a couple weeks and so I was gone and he's just between last time you guys was there if we still trying to clean that up. >> Okay. What happens after she cleans, you do this and you do that? He just again [snorts] just hung out and I mean didn't really Tommy come over for a little bit before she went to work got her shower and [ __ ] with her. They introduced you know I mean >> they met Heather and her and whatnot. She asked where Crystal was. Clearly I don't know. Uh that's about all I said about that. If I remember right she may have went and laid down for an hour or two. Got up and showered up. went to work. >> That's the other girl. >> Mhm. >> The time. >> Yeah. How do you think they >> I don't know. I know. It's It like I was telling Heather earlier, it kind of struck me weird because this Tanya chick seems to know everybody that's say in the circle, [snorts] >> you know, like my cousin and a few other people and like knew of me and [ __ ] but I've never not one time have I heard this girl's name ever pop up. So, I guess from what she was telling us, I guess, you know, again, it's only what I've been told, so I don't know for that. Uh, she used to stay with Crystal and David before. >> Okay. >> Um, so on Wednesday, you guys hang out. You said at one point Tanya comes home. [clears throat] >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Do you know what time that is? It was still daylight hours. >> Okay. >> Uh um I didn't have to. >> And what' you do when she came home? So this late evening? >> Yeah, like 600 7 probably 5 6 7:00 I'd have to say, but I I didn't get as close to. >> Okay. >> Uh [ __ ] for a minute. She got her, you know, shower and whatnot and sat down and was resting for a little bit before she left for work. Where'd she work? >> Uh MFG if I remember her saying right. Cuz we hit me in there or whatever. Yeah. >> Okay. And she left. >> Mhm. She always leaves leave in a couple hours like before you got to be at work, too. Like she goes and does her little whatever [ __ ] it is she's doing before she goes to work. >> All right. Get ready for work. and she leaves and so it's later in the evening. Is Heather still there and everything? >> Mhm. After she left. Yeah. >> Did she stay the night? That night? >> The kids? >> No, she didn't. Today, Friday. >> Mhm. >> Uh I think she may have actually. Yeah. >> And the kids. >> Yep. She always has a kids that she's all right. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Yeah, cuz she Yeah, it was she did say the night cuz the last two nights and I had her stay there with me. >> Anybody else come over that night or anything like that? >> Okay. >> Outside of town though. Yeah, that was Wednesday was when uh Daniel Barn he come picked up that it's that easy or it's actually Yeah, cuz she's went home. That's what I So, Heather and boys went home for a little bit after Tanya had left >> so she can get their [ __ ] clothes and [ __ ] And before and before she got back before she came back, that's when Daniel brought his brother over and Daniel's girlfriend and Dalton's girlfriend was with them. He come to get the van and [ __ ] >> So, Danny, do you remember a time Danny might have come over that night? >> Is it dark out? No, I was still there like and uh if I remember right, he was there before Tanya. So 3 4 5:00 anywhere between 3 and 5. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Who's with him? >> Um his girlfriend. Uh >> who's that? Yeah. No, I don't. Uh, I don't remember her name. I've only kn her a few times. I know he's got her pregnant and they argue back and forth all the time cuz she's going out being high on [ __ ] heroin while she's pregnant and this and that. >> Okay. >> Uh, it doesn't matter right now. He had his brother with him too. Dalton, you know, he got bes out and [ __ ] Um, and Dawn's girlfriend, which I've never even met. I don't even their name. >> So, the four of them? >> Mhm. >> Okay. What happens when when Danny gets there with this group? Anything? >> I mean, we're bullshitting. He's switching [ __ ] from the van to the truck. From the truck to the van. Uh, we was waiting on Heather to She knows Dalton. Um, so they was, you know, going to see each other, whatever. >> And, uh, >> so he moved stuff from the truck and arrived into the van or from the truck to your car. >> Yeah. >> From the van that was already there. >> Mhm. >> Cuz he had it loaded down with a bunch of [ __ ] that he's been picking up on the side of the road and [ __ ] too. >> Scratch. >> Yeah. Uh, put some of it in the truck so he had more room in the van. >> Uh, I mean, we kicked it for a minute bullshitting back and forth. We was waiting on Heather to show up. She never did. >> Okay. Uh, so they all actually Don and his girlfriend left first. They had somewhere to go. Daniel and his girl sat there for a minute kicking it and uh then they left very shortly after that is when Heather came back with the boys. >> Okay. >> So that's all when it says >> nothing else happens the rest of the night. You guys crash? >> Me and her out clean the house. You know what I mean? [ __ ] she did her normal dishes. I can [ __ ] sweat back and forth. >> All right. Where did Tanya lay down at when she was over? >> Uh that that night was up in Crystal's bed. >> Okay. >> And it was it was probably an hour and a half, a couple hours or so. She was up here. You know, she goes up and gets hot. Uh again, that's my fault. I've been slacking on getting her room done. [laughter] Okay. >> [sighs] >> All right. So, what goes on Thursday? >> Long day for real. I mean, me, Heather, and boys hung out. Uh, was supposed to go out to her friends and help him clean out some trash out of her house. I guess him and his girlfriend got into it. She had a bunch of broken dishes and [ __ ] It's her first, come to find out last night after the fact, u it's her first child's father. I don't even know dude's name. >> Did you ever go? >> We was out there. We was damn near out there >> and that's when uh Orwell >> and we was in the Andover circle there off seven >> and uh Crystal's mom said that she was going to be on the way to the house and [ __ ] So I told her I said, "Oh, might as well go meet her." You know what I mean? That to me that's more important than going out and making a few extra bucks. So he turned around and went back to the house. >> Yes. And it's uh Johnny, which is her son, Chris's son, and then her mom was already at the house. And Joey [ __ ] Pulled the air conditioner out that window downstairs. Left it on. >> Leave it on the house. Where's Chris Long? >> Uh to see if she was there. Do like a personal welfare check, I guess. >> But John, that's her >> Johnny. Yeah. Her son. And then uh her other friend Joey. [snorts] >> Joey, which is a friend. >> Joey. >> Joey. >> Okay. Yeah, >> that's Joey Shaw. >> Yep. >> What happens when they get there Thursday night? >> Uh they was already there when we was there or when we got there. He was already there and inside. >> What What What concerned Bonnie? Bonnie is the mom. What concerned her? Why? Why is she >> No communication. Nobody hearing from her. >> Okay. >> And what happens then when they're there? >> We just you talk for a few minutes, this and that. And uh >> I mean that's probably 10 minutes at the most. >> Okay. >> Made arrangements for Joey to get the dog, which she's fine there. I don't know. >> They took the dog. >> Uh no, she's still there. >> That's the one they count. >> Mhm. >> Uh he was supposed to be back last night to get her. Didn't never come back. So I don't know what the hell that was all about. Then once the message >> So they were there about they look around or anything or >> Yeah, they had done cut the lock off to my room went in there which whatever. Uh that was that is the extent of it for real other than discussing you know other possibilities like where she's at or who she could be with type [ __ ] You know what I mean? >> Okay. And then when I she told me that if you know we ain't here for this morning that she'd be coming up and making a missing person's report. >> What time do you think they were over? >> It was just getting dark for real. So >> yeah, between 79. Yeah. >> What happens after they left? >> Um shortly after they left. >> [ __ ] uh time. I showed up, got ready for work, and left. Then we fed the kids, laid them down. Me and Heather ate, and we was upstairs laying down. That's what I got woke up to this morning. 7:00 this morning. Woke up to chaos. >> So, uh, how spent the night then? >> Yeah. Who woke you up this morning? >> She said coming back in getting Heather. >> Heather. >> Yeah. Getting back in the bathroom. Using the bathroom. >> Okay. And normal morning till show up. >> No. >> Did her mom come back over this morning? >> Uh, yeah. Did she show up? Yeah, she did show up this morning. >> Before we got there? >> Yeah. >> Just to check if she come home. Yep. Shortly after that's when we ran up save a lot and I got the eggs and milk and all that [ __ ] for breakfast. We came back and that's that. You guys started showing up. We was just I ain't going to lie, I sitting upstairs real joint. I was about to start smoking a joint when you guys I started knocking like save a lot of got eggs and came right back. >> Eggs, milk, cheese looks so good. Couple things. I got a thing of Pop-Tarts, a couple drinks, milk bags, cheese. >> Where did you get money? You working anywhere? >> Uh, from scrap and [ __ ] >> How much money did you get from connect the other day? >> Uh, it was a total of 90 bucks. I gave dude 30 60 check or whatever. Got it. Okay. All right. [sighs] So, how often do you think you communicate with Crystal a day if you're not with her? >> Good handful. You know, at least, hey, I love you. You all right? Like, she always check in to make sure she's good. >> Okay. >> Might go a day. It It's very rarely a day we go by that. Not a mess with a scent. You know, hey, how you doing? Hey, you good or whatever. You know, even when I wasn't staying there, she made sure I ate, made sure I showered. >> She like a kid to her a little bit. Yeah. >> That's why we called our auntie, right? Um, >> at what point do you become concerned? >> Really? Ultimately yesterday. You know, we done went in a full day now. You know what I'm saying? Not >> she disappeared. Went stayed with anybody overnight. >> Like I said, the only time that I've known her, too, is when Dave was still out and that's when they go >> Dave's still locked up. So, he's out of the equation. Uh, I'm just saying in general like that's that's the only time I've known her of her too. Especially to not contact nobody at all. Uh, her mom, Joey, me, Miss Nancy, at least at least one of us would have heard, "Hey, I'm fine." Or, "Hey, this," you know, something. >> Okay. All right. Previously, you told me that you reached out to her. I think your exact quote when I was there. You blowing up her phone. >> I wanted to say that >> calling her and texting her trying to get a hold of her with no say that it was Barnum when he was there cuz uh the phone was on it got shut off and that was only my buddy reactivated it for me on his account a couple days ago. So I didn't really have nothing but Wi-Fi. So when Baron was there as I said it may have been on his phone. >> Okay. >> Uh him and calling. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Uh, did you have Wi-Fi at the house already? >> No. >> She didn't have Wi-Fi? >> No, she don't have internet there. She ain't got cable. No cable, no internet, no phone, house phone, whatever. So, it's it's it's like I said, between Heather being there, me using it for a second to send a text or a call or Bumstead mixing [ __ ] [ __ ] It's kind of How mean, how was your phone working though when we were there? Because when we were there and you were allowing me to take away your phone, you were I said it just got turned back on. >> When was that? It was >> I want to say either Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning we went to Verizon. >> Oh, so you have had stuff Wednesday, Thursday to use it, >> right? So you wouldn't have needed Daniel's phone. you you would have had your own connectivity, right? I mean, the phone's going to tell us. >> I was going to say it was probably >> It's probably seen all the activity start on the phone, right? >> Yeah. Uh well, I can't even really say that cuz sometimes I'd be able to [clears throat] connect to somebody's hotspot even. You know what I mean? Um >> trying to remember exactly. I know what it may have been. Wednesday afternoon, early Wednesday afternoon, we went to Verizon. trying to replay it at all. You know what I mean? >> Well, it could have been, >> you know, you gave us concern on the scene, right? You lost your phone. I see no contact. Were you trying to reach out to her? I see no phone calls to her. >> Um, >> I got him here. I photographed her. All that stuff. So there's a couple things that you're just a little, you know, I'm just trying to figure out. Like I said, some some some of us like everybody, you know, when you I don't know you personally know how, but you obviously know enough to know. You know what I'm saying? Like sometimes it's a [ __ ] run in blur to me. That's why I ask again like as of what day for sure today. But >> did you guys move anything out of the house or the yard last couple days? >> Nope. >> Nothing. He wouldn't have dropped some He would have backed the truck up to a hole over in that little wood. >> Wow. That's That's been filled up with [ __ ] from the campers she used to have out back. >> Okay. >> There's a big brown cushion like looks like ripped off of a chair that's out in the garbage. Any idea? >> That was something Barnab. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> I don't know what the hell it was from. that that come from the when he was moving [ __ ] from the van to the truck. That was something he took out of the van. So, Wednesday uh Wednesday at 5:03 p.m. You shoot her a message on Messer. Hey, you fool. Where you at? Barnum stopped by to see you. Said he's mad at you. Love you. Be safe. So, Barnum had already left by 5, right? It may have still been there, but yeah, it was right around in there when they they had taken off. >> But you have connectivity though, right? At that time, Wednesday at 2:07 a.m. You got connectivity, too. >> Tuesday night, you got on what? On the hot spot, I think. Yeah, it was Monday and Tuesday. It was all anything on Monday and Tuesday. So, it shut off Saturday or Sunday. So, anything really between then and I want to say Wednesday, early afternoonish when we got the back activated was all either Wi-Fi or hotspot. [sighs] But like I said, no reason for use because you have connectivity. I mean, your phone shows that you got a lot of [ __ ] coming in and out, but there's no contact with her. There's no Seemed to me for day one he'd be reaching out to her saying, "Hey, where you at, Crystal?" >> She said she was just running out to do some quick errands. >> I didn't raise didn't raise any suspicion to me until at least I know how she gets she's with me saying she >> they're going to be gone a while or >> do you go home with you when you go places? >> No, always. No. >> Okay. >> If's with me, I don't really need it for anything other than that. Do >> you got a Gmail account? >> Yep. You have a Google account. >> That's good luck. That's why I had to make a new Facebook. I couldn't even remember the [ __ ] login [ __ ] for that. It's all there. So take me through like Crystal like my runins with her and always been positive. Uh she was always moving to open and out of her house and had a lot of people in and out of there that you know we look into and she's no big king pit like that, right? She just >> nuisance house what we would call it. Does that make sense? >> Yeah. Yep. >> A lot of guys come in there getting high maybe getting a little bit here and there. Is that pretty accurate? >> To the best of my knowledge, outside of Dave being gone, there ain't no drugs being sold from there. >> Just use. Everybody gets high. >> Okay. >> Now, say if somebody's there, say I'm sitting there and you walk in, you have dope on you and hey, I got 10 bucks and a gun [ __ ] with nobody there. You got a little pass the ball around, >> right? >> All right. Well, with her, how often is she on her phone? >> All the time. >> Yeah. >> Would she ever left without her phone? I I very highly doubt that. >> So she charge her phone often? >> Where [clears throat] she did they charge it? >> Right outside her bay where >> Okay. So her phone would have been charged if she left the house. >> Okay. And it was even Daniel he uh when he was trying to call it too all the way up until if I remember right between 2 and 3 say Wednesday night early Thursday morning it would ring and ring and ring and then it cut off straight voicemail. >> Well yeah she could just be out on the you know I'm hoping >> but that's not her is it >> right? You've never known that. Her friends, her mom, nobody's ever known her. Mom talks to her multiple times a day, right? >> Not from what I know. Okay. Uh her mom up until yesterday has been told that she ain't been getting high. So, she's been lying to her mom. >> But they may still communicate, right? >> For the most part, >> yeah, I Who's her closest friend? Who's Crystal's closest friend? >> I'd have to say probably Nancy or Nikki. >> And Nancy, I just got off the phone with Nancy. I've heard from her since Tuesday night, >> right? And that's why I keep saying either between for sure the three of us, me, her, and Joey and then you include Nikki. So between the four of us really would have heard from her. There was some mention when mom came in here, mom said, "Hey, one of my concerns is I go up in her bedroom and her bed's not made, blankets and sheets are gone. There's some other [ __ ] laying there that's not normal and her pillows are missing." See, that's what has me [ __ ] up is because up until the time that Tanya went and laid up, went and laid down for a couple hours for work, I know for a fact pillows was there. I had them stacked up on them damn laundry baskets I was right there. >> Well, why would Tanya leave with the pillows? >> I don't know. Nor did I see her leave. But what I'm saying is they don't make sense to me. >> Uh, she bed. When did you >> She She threw a blanket down on it and laid down. >> Okay. When did um who pulled those blankets and sheets off the bed? >> Chris would herself. >> When did she do that? >> After she was done changing her clothes from getting puke off of them on the >> When did she get sick? >> She's been as every day or every other day she's throwing up and [ __ ] cuz >> she would she lay on her bed though and without sheets and stuff. Would she do that or >> I mean she wasn't up until the point I got up and was able to [ __ ] >> What day was that? that the first time I'd have to look at the message on Heather's phone. I know the Monday or Tuesday. >> Yeah. Monday or Tuesday, she had me do a do a load of bedding because of puke. And then either Tuesday, I think it was Yeah. Tuesday night, she had me do a load cuz there was dog piss and more puke. That's why I couldn't remember if they basket. I've been doing everything for her, man. Trying to keep [ __ ] clean, cooking for her, you know, everything other than >> dog get urinated on her stuff [clears throat] >> always. And dog shits and pisses all throughout the house, man. No matter how many times you're outside. So, but we I think we brought you um did >> you came upstairs. I said, "Hey, come on." Off the number. >> Mhm. >> Okay. You showed me to a comforter and you're admitting that there's some sheets that aren't there about right. >> They telling the dirty basket. >> That's all of them right there. >> I thought I ran them all through, but I guess I didn't. Thought they was all in. You know what I mean? Whether it's >> How many does she have on her bed? >> Uh, usually just a woman. >> Somebody has one that lays one down. Sometimes >> she lays one sheet down and then she puts a blanket on top of that, some kind of comforter or whatever. And that's she usually has one folded long ways along the foot of the bed and covers up with another. >> Nobody else. You didn't hear any disturbance or anything Wednesday when you went back to bed? So after that morning, I think that's uh >> what I guess >> her phone. So what we did is we go out and we notify AT&T. We know AT&T is a provider cuz mom pays the bill. >> Okay. Her phone hasn't had any connectivity since 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. [sighs] Um and so do you understand how homes work? Um we do quite a bit because we worked a lot of cases. We were a couple homicide cases >> where phones really did the the case for us, >> right? >> So with phone, anytime somebody sends you a text, phone numbers come in. It also pings your phone. So there's a connectivity that's towers >> and sometimes we can get better proximity, sometimes we don't. But anytime that happens, whether it's data, a straight text, a call, soon as that phone gets activated, okay, sends or receives, it pings. All right. 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, her phone stops. There's not one more outgoing ping from her phone. >> You said she leaves the house till noon. >> Yeah. >> And by your own words, she wouldn't have left without that phone. The phone would have been charged. Right. >> Right. >> Makes sense. So, but it tells you at 10:00 a.m. either that phone goes dead or it's turned off. Does that make sense? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And that's what AT&T's tell us. And we we double check. >> All right. That phone appears to be pinging at that time, possibly from the house. So, our phone goes dead or powered off about 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Um, everybody we've talked to, like I said, there's other ways you can explain. There's things that are possible and there's things that are probable. You understand that we can always say that anything's [ __ ] possible in life, right? But we have to start looking at what's probable. Uh, if you can admit it, she shouldn't be anywhere without her phone. She would be in contact at least with Nancy or somebody right now. >> All right. Um, the other thing we do is we can take these phones and especially with some of the technology on yours, we're going to be able to confirm wherever you went. We're going to know, we'll be able to get specific pain. We'll know exactly every point where you've been. Okay, does that make sense? In addition to that, so you signed off on a consent to search the house. >> We go upstairs with the third bedroom. I think at one point we brought you out there and we talked about the sheets. We talked about the blanks, you know, all that all that [ __ ] >> And maybe some last one to see her. I mean, you understand why we're answering these questions. You're the last one to see her, brother. Uh, her phone is showing dead prior to when you confirm she leaves the house. All right. The one thing I will ask you is listen to me. I'll work with anybody. Do you understand me? >> Yeah. >> All right. If something happened in his accident, now's the time. >> I wish I could, Mike. I I don't Heather. I love her to [ __ ] death, too. I don't know where the [ __ ] she's at. >> Can you explain all these? >> Like I said, other than running [ __ ] raggedy dude, getting high like an idiot. I thought maybe I had it all done. I want to find out where the [ __ ] she's at. Just as bad as the next person. I can tell you that. It [ __ ] hurts me. All right. But I seen that right there. Has me [ __ ] sick. >> Yeah, it's there. And you know what? We I'll be honest. We We overlooked it at first when the tenant went upstairs, come back down, said, "Hey, come here." We go up, you know, but it it's there. I'm not a blood expert, but I can tell if it's relatively new or it's old. This appears to be relatively new. Uh we will get samples of it. will know if it's her blood or not. But what I can tell you on the onset of this, there's a lot of things that could explain all this away. She could call her mom in 10 minutes and say, "Mom, I just been out on a binge. I'm sorry I went off the radar." And we all go, "Wow, these are a hell of a lot of fun coincidences." [snorts] Right? It could happen. And we've had cases like this, but something here just doesn't set right. Um, phone's dead before the time you confirm she leaves the house. uh which means you're the only one there with during that time frame. So, here's the thing. I don't want to cite certain cases, but here's the thing. Something happened to her. She obviously got moved. Say she died in the house. I'm just saying if she did, she got moved. She's not small. She's not big, >> right? >> Okay. It's a little work to get her out of there. If the blood, if [snorts] something happened in the bedroom, the blood's there. It was a little work to get her down the steps. Coming down the steps, there's about four patches about this big salted. Could be cooling, could be blood. BCI will know. They'll run a test on it. We'll find out what it is. I don't know. So, it's there. I pointed it out. We've documented it. We'll find out. So, the issue is no matter if she's dead in a field somewhere, she's dead in a creek, she's dead in the dump, eventually the bodies turn up. >> Okay? And the issue we have is you'll be the last person to be around her. I hope mom calls me. Mom has my cell number. Nancy has my cell phone. Danny Barnum has my cell phone. They all have it. The minute they they they hear from her, they know they got to get a hold of me. Okay. I hope that's what happens. But right now, it doesn't look right. Her purse is missing. Cell phones know her in the house. All right. If the bed all the [ __ ] wasn't torn off the bed and the bed was all made and the mattress was flipped, I'd say, "You know what? Maybe something happened three weeks ago." You know what I mean? She had an accident. She's a woman, right? They have accidents. >> This is a lot of blood or something from menration. >> I don't know how the [ __ ] I was here. >> Yeah. I don't know. You worried about that mattress, too? Is you ever flipped a mattress before? You know why you flip them? >> [ __ ] it. They start to get war. You know what I mean? Start to sag in the middle. You've been on them. I mean, we all been in shitty beds before, right? >> They start to sag in the middle. You flip them every now and then because when you flip them, you got something she usually feels appears to be nice and fluff that you know that been the bottom foot. That's all I can tell you. And Danny, I've been doing this a long time. I don't really have a read on this case to tell you the truth. Do you know what I mean? I I don't. But [snorts] I can tell you this. You only get one time if you know of anything while you're here because once you walk out, I have to assume if she is found deceased, if she is, I have to I have to assume it's premeditated. I have to there's a lot of aggravating factors. >> Accidental stuff's way different than something that was meant to happen. Do you understand that? >> It's a big big difference [snorts] in this county. You're talking years of your life. Years of your life. If accidentally happens and people cooperate, this county is going to go easy on them. >> I'll tell you. I thought you would though. >> Told you. I absolut have no reason. I have nobody. >> Can you explain the oddities that we have in this case right now? Do you agree there are some? >> Right. I mean 100% and that's why like my brain scattered. I don't know her to [ __ ] death, man. And definitely definitely definitely definitely even if I would have [ __ ] walked in and found her [ __ ] up in any kind of way. I've been right on the phone with the law, man. That's why she brought me back is because she felt safe with me and her. Well, it makes no sense to She borrows this van, right? She borrows this van and she she she sort of plans it, right? She plans it to have it Tuesday because Wednesday she's got to pay the water bill. She's got to go get her prescriptions refilled. She has quite a few things she had to do. Is that correct? >> Yeah. >> And then why would she just abruptly just cut out with somebody else? I've never seen her walk, >> right? >> I mean, she doesn't that's [snorts] just not her, right? And you don't live in the best area. >> That's why [clears throat] that's why I figured at first she's with somebody, she's fine. You know, >> you know what? It could be the case. I mean, but every minute that goes by without any communication, you got to start to wonder, right? >> Definitely. >> What's your thoughts? You think she lied? >> I hope so. I'd say yes. I But why has nobody hurt? Let me see. He found that upstairs. Like [ __ ] Yeah. Thing is, like I said, I go through your phone. I don't find those contacts. I don't find that. You said there's a bunch of messages in there about scrubbing blankets and doing this and grab that. Like I said, I'm pretty sure the one the one is on Heathers. >> That could be easy to explain away, but >> I can forward it to you if you'd like or however. I don't know. >> Get what I'm saying? Bed stripped. >> Absolutely. >> Mattress flipped, fresh blood on the bottom. She's nowhere to be found. Foam dies before [snorts] you say she leaves. Not like her. I mean, like I can be off roughly on time. You could I don't know. Absolutely. >> It's It's hard to say for sure. >> But would she leave with a dead phone? Especially when she was sitting in her bedroom scribbling. I assume she's like any other woman. She had that [ __ ] on the charger. Wouldn't she? >> Nine times out of 10. Yeah. >> Again, they only times I know of going dead or being dead, you know, quote unquote shut off is when David Morton was out. She didn't want to hear from his ass. >> But that pain in the ass locked up so we don't have to worry about him. He's still in the county jail >> 100%. [sighs] >> We have a neighbor said she had got into a yelling argument within the last couple days. You remember it was just wasn't major but there was some type of exchange. Not her and I know >> between me and Heather yet but not me and Crystal know. What was that yelling match about with you and Heather? >> Me thinking she's sleeping with her ex-boyfriend. >> Who's your ex-boyfriend? >> Uh Cody Cody [snorts] live all around. He's almost so uh his wife's name. >> Yeah, she mature. >> Red dodge pickup. Uh, >> so that would have been the argument that would have been overheard. >> Nine times out of 10 probably me and me and another go back. One day we're arguing, not seeing each other, next day we're getting along, perfect, want to get married type [ __ ] [sighs] [snorts] Say Crystal's not alive when we find her body. What are we to believe then? [ __ ] God. Look, I want to >> [sighs and gasps] >> You have to last person that we know saw her, right? Yeah. He took us through a pretty decent account. [snorts] And what's interesting is we're going to end up running a search warrant on this device here through your cell provider and we're going to get your ping data. We're going to know everywhere you've been, every spot. And that obviously we're going to be looking. So I don't think her body's in the house. [sighs and gasps] Doesn't seem like we'd be right. Seemed like we would have seen it. >> Absolutely. I've been up and down a [ __ ] you know, >> looking for. >> No. Clean that [ __ ] up trying to get [ __ ] organized in the basement. Move that [ __ ] out of the room for [ __ ] Tanya, >> you know. >> Did you ever drive the van at all that day? >> Only that truck. Truck's the only vehic around Bu said scrapping [ __ ] picking her up, dropping her off. >> That was on Wednesday. >> Wednesday with Chad. >> Yeah. >> How do we get a hold of Chad? >> Facebook. I don't have a number for him. Uh Carol or Yeah. Thank you Carol. What do you believe's happened? Fair question. >> Like I said, I'm going stick with the fact that I believe she's with somebody. I don't know. >> She's having to be, >> you know, she's having a really good time. >> Who would that one person be? >> Who would know at this point? I really wish I could tell you. You know what I mean? say she did leave around and interesting part about her phone is the last outgoing anything that where we're right now [snorts] it's 10 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning how she got a hold of somebody to say come pick me up how would they communicate with her to say hey I'm going to swing through and pick you up they just happen to stumble upon her out front as she was getting ready to leave to go pay the water bill and guess what mom called. She didn't make it to the water bill. She didn't pick up her prescription. She didn't do any of those things. I mean, it's one of two things. Something really bad happened to her [snorts] or she's out on a bench, right? Am I correct? >> Yeah. It's one of two things. The only other people I can think of, like I said, that I can't get a hold of would be John Guy or Kelly. Outside of that, John Guy doesn't come up here much, does he? >> Every day. Every day. Where does he go to? Right off Lake to his baby mom Kayla's house. [snorts] >> You mean uh Harbor Ridge? [clears throat] >> Going towards where Kayla's grandparents live and [ __ ] on going towards the hospital. >> Mhm. [snorts] >> She was living down in Harbor Ridge. Kayla Parker, right? Mhm. >> She's on your Facebook Messenger. Mhm. [clears throat] Sir and Chris will stay in touch. I knew that. >> And she messaged me this morning or some [ __ ] saying either last night or this morning asking if we' seen her or her yet or something. [sighs] >> Seems awkward or weird that she'd reach out to you if she knew where she was at, right? >> Yeah. >> Something like that. >> Awkward at all. Real anymore for her to reach out to you at all. Does John Guy have an issue with her? I mean, she's had his back for years. >> Yeah, she also brought $1,200 from him, too. >> Okay. How long was that? >> Some kind of something about some [ __ ] [ __ ] bond check us off. >> How long ago was that? >> Not very long ago. >> Wednesday around noon. >> Yeah. I mean, it's just been an ongoing issue of >> Okay. And what about Kel's? I mean, I know Kels. >> I've not seen him. Uh, yeah. He's under a federal indictment. He go to prison. Last time I knew she talked to him was a few days prior to me moving back in. [snorts] Talking to him just mean like, "Hey buddy, how you doing? Good weather. Watch last night. and I can't fathom as where the [ __ ] she would be. That's all I keep trying to think of is where hell she can be. Where would she from? Who would you think your mom has the same questions, right? >> Her son has the same questions. >> Yeah, they're both pretty pretty distraught, I guess, would be the proper word, correct? >> Yeah. >> Mom says I I think she's dead. So, I'm happy. So, this isn't like her. John says I think Graham's right. I hope they're wrong. Like I said, maybe she's about getting high as hell somewhere. Maybe there's somebody who she's been talking to that we're not aware of. I don't even know where else to look who else to get a hold of. I'm going to give you a moment. I'll be right back. All right. Please let her be all right. [sighs] Where the [ __ ] you at, Crystal? [gasps] Please come home. I just found the name of Tonia. Yeah, it's just a text she said, but we think it was a We think it was one of those text to talk corrections. She meant Tanya. You know how it is. You ever use that? >> Yeah. Screws it up every time for me. So, just making sure there's no tone play. I'm assuming it's Tanya based on Tom's text, too, that she was supposed to pick her up. So, again, we go back to Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning is the last time anybody else besides you saw her that we know of. Like I said, Summer Duke could pick up. She could be having the time of her life right now, right? I mean, I don't know. Maybe she is. But >> for all this, I heard a funk hope so. >> The lab is right now processing the house. BTI is on scene. They're going to start doing their processing. Do you understand? >> Mhm. >> So, I'm just going to ask one last time. Do you have any idea where she's at? >> I don't know. >> If we find a body, what are we supposed to think? Straight up question. Obviously, she was ordered. I >> I don't know. >> It would have miraculously happened from the time she left the door until she was getting to the van to go do her errands, right? I mean, that's >> No, >> she stuck her head in your door and said, "Hey, I'm out." Right. >> Yeah. I'm just going to tell you a little story. Go back a couple years ago. Had a young man sitting in the same chair. He sat here for 4 hours. He talked about a whole bunch of hypotheticals, a whole bunch of things. And his strange wife was missing at the time. All right. And uh he acted a lot like you. Same demeanor, pretty calm, relaxed. Said, "Man, I hope you find her." you know, I didn't do anything to her. Didn't did. Uh, the evidence pointed that he did. Two weeks later, we found her body. He's sitting there waiting trial right now. So, there's a lot of evidence that we don't even have yet. Do you understand that? A lot of stuff we're not going to have next couple days, but we will have it. If if something did bad happen to her, we will find that evidence. If you're responsible, we will it to you. At that point, you've lost every bit of leverage you have in life. >> Okay? So it doesn't now it's not an accident. Wasn't a fit of rage. Wasn't anything like that. This is going to have to be considered like it was premeditated. Try to cover it up. So on so on. So all I can tell you right now is if you know where she's at, take me there. Promise you I don't. I don't. I promise you that as a man I will [ __ ] aside anything. Don't get [ __ ] excuse me. But any other cases, I promise you, I don't know where she's at, man. >> I want to believe that hurts me that I [ __ ] don't. >> I want to believe you. I mean, I do. We're not going to hold you. We're going to continue to work our case. And like I said, I could get a call from mom here in an hour saying, "Hey, she's home." And explain it all away. But you got to understand, your initial statements to me don't add up. Okay? So, when you start making definitive statements like, "Hey, I blew her phone up. I did this. I did that." Last night I was saying this between him being there using his phone this you know what I'm saying I can't quite tell you exactly times but I'm [ __ ] up spun out on speed too you know [ __ ] Thursday he should have been blowing her phone up there ain't one message there's nothing going out to her there's one I think at one point there's nothing >> pretty sure that's the date Thursdays is when Daniel's there as well. Already I'm with everybody. So there's nobody else I can call either. Her phone's going straight to us, you know. >> But if you're sitting at home, man, doesn't curiosity get you and you're like, man, I wonder if I called her a few times, dude. While I'm sitting here because I'm like, are we wasting everybody's time in the world? [snorts] I've I've tried several times. I'm going write the voicemail, >> but it shows a missed call. It shows I tried to call her. Yeah. Hell yeah, Doug. Your phone doesn't have any of that. If she's one of your best friends and she's your aunt and she's missing going on two, three days, I'd be burning that [ __ ] phone up all the time. >> To me, when there's other people saying they're still going to voice, you know, right? They're calling. >> Do you trust everybody else to take care of your work? >> No, but when it's on, you know, speaker phone and I see you're calling this person to go, >> they sitting with you all day Wednesday, all day Thursday. I wouldn't say literally all day, but a good amount of time. Yeah. And I guess the question is why did it take her mom to come file a report with us? >> Her mom didn't even know she was still getting high. Man, >> it doesn't matter her getting high. She's >> if she's out binging right now, we'll know. And I mean, the joke's going to be on us. But as of right now, we're I mean, man, I can't take away the blood. >> I can't take away the phone information. Does it match up with some of your statements? I can't take that stuff away. It could be you're just misremembering times and dates. It could be just as simple as that. But we have to look at it. If she's never find her, no matter where you put her, it's going to happen. Do you understand? We will. Okay? And then the next time we come calling, there's not going to be a statement. It's not going to be like this set across the table. This is going to be the hey, there's no time. I don't I don't need to hear your story on how it accidentally happened at that point. I mean, for her mom, her daughter, and her son, we need something. I hope it's her reaching out to him later tonight saying, "Hey, I'm really sorry I went off the radar." If so, then, hey, we wasted a whole bunch of time. Maybe upset with her a little bit, but every minute that goes by just leads us to believe this isn't good. I'm sorry. I can't tell you what I don't know. I apologize. I'm really good. >> It hurts me, man. That is >> Were you saying you going to go back to the house once we're done processing there? >> Nowhere else to stay. >> You go back there be at Bradberries or where you going? >> Either there or my mom's. >> Where's your mom live? >> Avon. >> Avon? >> Yes. 1521 Rosewood Boulevard. [snorts] >> 1521 Rosewood. >> Yes. Avon 4401. 440. >> What's the phone number for mom? >> Uh 216. >> Mhm. 4550 7524. >> Well, we we've executed a search warrant there. Um, if you allow us to process the phone, sign a consent, we'll do a digital search on it. We can get it back to you quicker. If not, don't mind. We'll write a search warrant on it, process it, and get it back to you then. You know what I mean? >> I mean, it's fine. I just don't know. Like, >> how long does that take, though? I don't know. You know what I mean? >> We'll be working on it tomorrow. uh or later today we'll start getting the dump. We'll get it back to you as soon as we can. All right. What is today? Friday. >> Okay. So, this is a consent like you sign a consent to [snorts] search the uh the house. If for some reason you decide, hey, I don't want you guys searching my phone. You contact us and withdraw consent and we'd be more than happy to. >> In the 2021 Ashtabula County, Ohio case, Daniel A.
