You're you're the one getting satisfaction off of it. >> How am I getting satisfaction off of it? >> Cuz you're sitting there smiling. >> If that poor kid that was going through hell and gettinged and his wife was going through hell and his sister that was out there being choked and everything else, >> that's who you call right there. We do this, not you. So this is on your own valition, correct? You're you're speaking to us on your own free will, correct? >> Okay. >> Nothing bad. >> So what? >> Well, no. We there there's certain things that we have to do procedurally. One, we have to inform your constitutional rights. All right. One thing we will not do is step on the constitution. We don't dance on the Constitution around here. So, we want to make sure that, you know, that people understand what their rights are. Austin, um, if you're wanting to clear the air with something, what what's So, what was your reasoning? Well, about how all that happened and everything. Like I said the other night when you and the other guy was here about how that poor kid was getting molested. Is is there any ways one of you can go out there or something and make sure they're okay? >> It's it's still an open case, bug. Trust me, we >> still working on it. >> We've been in and out of different areas. Is that was that your entire reasoning? >> This shouldn't even happen. And I wish to God it wouldn't have happened. >> Well, why did it? >> Cuz I guess I was worried myself and felt really bad about them people, all the trouble he was going through. >> Okay. So, why'd you walk over there with a gun? >> Because I I guess I I don't know. I wanted to try to straighten everything up or whatever cuz you can't trust a word he says. I mean, I've caught him years ago several times. I've caught him. He broke in the house once. I caught him in the basement. He come in the window in the basement. >> Okay. >> And I was hiding around the corner and he was there by the fuel tank. when he turned around and seen I was there, he pulled his shirt up and pulled a pistol on me and it's just been with this guy one thing after another. I don't know the reason. I don't know why. All I know is that they know my aunt Karma, my mother's sister and her husband that was in the military. So I don't know if if they live in California. >> No, that's the owner of the house. All right. So, I didn't want them people to keep being tortured no more. His sister used to live there, too. And they she moved out like a year or two ago or whatever. They'd be out there argue in a driveway and and everything else and you scrapped her by the throat and tried to strangle her and she'd be getting down on a driveway gasping forever and everything else. I mean, this this was the best these people going through this. >> Okay. [snorts] So, if there was no danger of any of that happening at the time, why did you decide to go over there the morning of the 5th? I mean, nobody was getting choked in the driveway. None of that was going on. Why'd you go over there? Cuz it was worrying me cuz they stay thereelves. And I know how people get scared in situations like that. Like that poor kid that was being molested when he was little. >> Okay. He was trespassed on the property years ago at the back by the pond and the poor kid was all shook up and he told told me, >> "Okay, >> he was back there and and I told him to leave and he started cussing me real bad and so >> he went back home and his mom and dad was there now was out in the driveway and I told him about it and they let him help me do it or around the house, you know, the property to make up for what he for what he was saying and cussing and everything. I was helping him have having me helped me pull some weeds around the pond and that was it. And the kid was talking and and stuff was all shook up and and told me about that. He said he touched him in places he shouldn't have in his private areas and I asked him or how many times he done it more than once and he said yeah. >> What brings up this conversation with you and that boy? I mean, just out of the blue, he just the >> out of the blue. >> Out of the blue. >> Back when he was a kid. I don't know how old they are now, but I mean, he was nine or 10 or whatever. >> And he was back there by a pond and I was back there. I was getting ready to cut grass. The kid was back there by the pond. >> So, what I'm going to stop you, why wouldn't you call law enforcement with that? >> Like I said, I know how people lie and I was scared to death. >> True. people are all the time >> and I was usually there by myself and my dad is always working and I know how if something's going on you can say one thing two or three people can say this and police will go after these people saying because there's more people saying something >> so this go back to the morning of the 5th right Saturday why did why did you exit your house go around go through the old pasture by the pond and go through the wood line we What was the reasoning and the purpose behind that travel path? >> There wasn't. I just went behind the barn. Like I said the other night, just for the hell of it, I didn't know anybody was back there. And >> did you see Did you see his wife out cutting grass? >> Yeah. >> Not at first, but >> Not at first. Did you see her go into the house? >> Yes, >> you did. So you watched her walk up the stairs and go into the house and that's when you exited from from the woods. >> I walked over there and then started asking him some questions about >> could he hear you? >> Yeah. You took his things off and turned around and seen me and was talking. >> So you guys were face to face. >> I was just trying to find out answers. I didn't want them people to keep going through that. I didn't want that kid to keep going through that. >> Did you have your gun out when you were talking to him? >> Not at first. >> Not at first. >> Not at first. I didn't even know it was loaded. I was just trying to scare him. >> So, what made you pull the gun out? >> Cuz I thought he was lying and it would scare him and he would tell the truth. >> What would you do if someone pulled a gun on you like that? >> Be scared to death. >> Austin honest with you. I don't believe I don't believe any of that. I don't believe that's why you went over there. I don't I think you've convinced yourself of this story because of what we told you the other day that you needed to create a narrative that you know people would think that you're not so bad. So, you're going to paint this guy as a child molester. I I don't I don't believe it. >> I'm not saying he is. I mean, I don't believe this guy snuck into your basement and, you know, snuck in through the basement and pulled a gun on you and you let him out through the front door several times and you didn't call the cops. Your dad conveniently wasn't there. You've been to their property at least five or six times over the past three some odd years. All right. once over a package that was delivered to your house by mistake to where you show up and pretty much caught them everything but what they are on their ring cam like to the point they they like no we're not answering the door till he leaves and then you show up again and you get in some kind of political debate with Tony the guy Mr. king and then another incident turned into a political debate and then you tell the pool crew that he's a child molester and he shouldn't shouldn't be over there and then once with Mrs. King where you were supposedly getting a package delivered to their house by mistake and then you haven't had contact with these people for over a month. She said, "When you guys see each other out, you wave." That's what neighbors do. Wave at each other the cordial, even if they don't like each other. Hey, neighbor. How are you? It's called keeping the peace. But I agree with Detective Pukai here. You grabbed your gun with every intent to go back there and kill that man. Am I right? Be honest with us. >> I'm being honest. You went back there with the intentions to kill him. Am I correct? >> Not at first. >> Not at first. At what point were did you intend to kill him? >> Well, he was over there lying about what? >> Now, >> I want you to be honest with me. At what point did you intend to kill him? When you grabbed a gun and walked over there? >> Well, no. >> Be honest. >> I know you're trying to convince yourself of this story. >> You've been over there before without guns, but this time you brought a gun. >> I know. Just make it easy. Hear me out a minute. >> Like I said, you I don't know if you can ask the son or what, but like I said, I swear to you on my life. The kid was back there trespassing when he was a kid. >> Last time you said you swear to me on your life, you were lying through your teeth. Remember we talked about tails and lying? >> That you you lying to me now? >> No, it's just something I say. I don't mean it to be lying or nothing. But you figured that if he was going to lie to you, you've worked this out in your head, that if he was going to lie to you, you were going to pull your gun out and if need be, kill him. >> Well, not no not at first. I thought if I pulled a gun out that that scare him. >> So when did it click like I got this gun, I need to kill this guy? >> I wasn't trying to kill him at first or anything. If I shoot you if I shoot you in the face three times, what do you think's going to happen to me? >> Well, like >> you're a pretty good shot. >> Like I said, it it wasn't it wasn't going to happen like this at first. At first, I didn't even know it was loaded. I didn't check it. It's just dated. >> I find it hard to believe that you grab a gun from your house and didn't check if it was loaded. >> I've been in your room. I know what type of person you are. I know how you are with your weapons. There's not a gun in that house that was loaded. None. Not near one. Everything has its place. Everything. You are the neatest, most organized individual I have ever inventoried. So to say that you did not know your gun was loaded is a lie. Am I correct? >> Well, it's not really a lie. It's it's been loaded sitting in that thing for God knows how long. I've always kept a lock in case someone tried to break an ounce or something. >> So you knew it was loaded. >> You see what I mean? You knew it was loaded. >> Well, I didn't know it was loaded. I haven't touched. >> You just said that you kept it in a box >> in case someone broke into the house and that's why it was loaded. When you took that gun over to your neighbor's house, you knew it was loaded. You knew there was going to be a confrontation that day over that. Correct. >> I was wanting to scare him. I wasn't trying to to shoot him or nothing. >> When did you decide in your mind that if he did not tell you the truth that you were going to shoot him? Well, he was over there saying what he was saying. >> What did he say? >> I asked him if he was still molesting that kid and he looked unfound in the face and he said no. He didn't know what I was talking about. >> Okay. >> And I asked him if he knew Aaron Neville and Carmen evil, my aunt and her husband or whatever was going on with that. And he said no. He didn't know what he was talking about. And I know he I know damn well they does. I was at my car. >> How long was your conversation before you pulled the trigger? >> I don't know, maybe a minute. >> Yeah, that's about right. It's on video, bro. >> But I I know they know. But like I said, I remember when I was little, they was at their house. I was there. Not at the people next door to my aunt's house, my uncle's house. Karma and Aaron, they him and his sister, not his wife. him and his sister was at their house. >> Okay. So, what if it what if it's possible it's not that guy and it's the guy that lived there before? >> I don't know who lived there before. >> How long has them people lived in that house? >> I don't know. All the time we've been living there, I guess. >> How long you been living there? Since what year? >> Like 2017 or something. Somewhere around there, I guess. 2018ish. Does that sound more? >> Something like that. >> About five, four or five years. >> Something like that. >> Okay. So, you're talking about a time well before you moved in there. All right. And that house is not that old. That's a fairly new build, right? So, what you're saying doesn't make sense that him and his sister were living there years ago, right? >> So, let's go back to the facts here. And the place was built like a 2000 or 9 or 10. >> Okay. So, let's go back to the facts here. You grabbed your loaded weapon that you knew that you keep loaded because home defense. You exit out of the man door of your garage and walk around the garage. Correct. Yeah. You drop down into that old pasture, the back through the backyard by the old barn. Correct. And you're in all that big tall undergrowth. Correct. Can you hear him running that chainsaw >> at that point? >> Yeah. So, you knew he was out there >> at that point. >> So, why would you go through that trouble to walk through the woods, wait on his wife to go in the house and exit through out through the woods into the backyard instead of going from your front door through their backyard? Well, cuz >> cuz you didn't want him to know you were coming. >> No, I wanted nobody to get hurt if there was a confrontation. If he would try to >> You had a loaded gun. >> Yeah, I didn't know if he would go off and threaten me or with chainsaw or anything. >> If someone came to your house, >> that's why you waited for him to turn around so he wouldn't come at you with a chainsaw. >> Well, I >> did. He had the chainsaw in his hand. Well, when he had his things on, he seen I was coming and he took his thing off and >> cuz he's putting it down. >> Yeah, cuz he's wondering why the hell you're on his property. >> Where' you Where'd you have the gun when you walked over? >> In my coat pocket. >> In your coat pocket. So, easy easy access, right? Okay. Is your type is yours uh is your gun can you just pull the trigger and it goes off or do you got to pull the hammer back? >> Either one. >> Either one. So it's either single action or double action or it's double action. Right. >> When did you pull the hammer back? U when I asked him the questions and he act like he didn't know what I was talking about. It's >> cuz he didn't. >> So when'd you pull the hammer back? Well, after that I pulled the gun and then I you know, like I said, I pulled a gun and then pulled that back. I was trying. >> So, you pulled a gun on him and then you cocked the hammer. >> I was trying to scare him. Why? You're Why you're yelling at him questions. Correct. And then then you shoot him. Well, >> so I guess I lost my head and I >> Okay, let's say the first one was an accident. >> Why the other four or five? >> Why the ones to the face? You know how personal it is to shoot somebody in the face? To look them in the eye and shoot them in the face. It's pretty personal, isn't it? Well, cuz I guess I got scared in a panic cuz he took off and run around the thing at me. >> Panic shooting would be you running. He didn't really run anywhere. He got shot, ran around, seen you, and was like, "Oh [ __ ] I've got a decision to make. Either try to survive or die." And you shot him four more times. At least four more times. Three to the face. I was there as autopsy. I know how many bullets was pulled out of his face. I was there at the scene. You shot him pretty close to pointing blank three times in the face. >> When he come running around, that that's pretty [ __ ] personal, isn't it? To look somebody in the eye and shoot them in the face. Correct. >> I guess so. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> Yeah. When he was coming at me, I got scared and I was >> uh Don't get mad at I got scared. You shot a man. What do you What do you expect him to do? If I shot you, what are you going to do? >> I don't know. >> So So why the first one? So you pull the hammer back and he's not answering your questions. You're mad and you lost your cool and that's why you shot him the first time. >> Well, no. I shot him in the first time. And I guess, like I said, I panicked. I wouldn't even know what what what to think to do. >> What do you mean by that? So, you pull your gun out, you pull the hammer back to try to scare him, and it doesn't work. Did that make you mad? >> Well, no. I just It made me panic. Like I said, I >> So, when it didn't work, you panic and you shot him. >> And where'd you shoot him the first time? >> I don't know. His shoulder, I guess. What do you know which shoulder? >> So me and you are facing each other right now. Did you shoot him in this shoulder? >> I think so. >> Yeah. Did the next one come right here? >> Like right here? >> I guess so. >> What do you mean? Yes. You know, >> let me tell you how good of a shot you are right here. That's how good of a shot you are. Most cops aren't that good of a shot. How far away were you? I know you were within six or 30 yards. >> How close were you? >> Well, probably from here to the back of the corner wall by the >> Okay. So, >> for the first shot, right? >> So, so walk me through. So, pull the hammer back, right? He It shocks you. So you shoot him, right? Cuz he didn't react. And that one goes in the shoulder. >> I guess so. It all happened so fast. I >> I get it. But let's slow it down. So goes through the shoulder. Then where does he go? >> What do you mean? Where? >> Where? Where does he move? >> Runs around the thing at me. >> He runs around the can. >> Okay. >> At me. And I got scared and I just >> So did he run and then double back? >> I don't remember. I just remember he started running towards me like he's gonna >> So after you shot him, where was he standing when you shot him? >> What do you mean the first? >> So if the Can-Am's sitting right here? If I'm looking at the back of it. Yeah. If this is the Can-Am and this is the back of it, Tommy was right around in here. Where were you in relation to that? Were you standing like right here? >> I guess so. I said maybe from here to the back of the wall. >> So, we'll say within eight or 9 ft. All right. So, you shoot him. So, as he's running around this right front side, are you closing the distance? >> Honestly, I don't remember. >> Yeah, you do. Think about it. Cuz you did. You close the distance cuz you put a [ __ ] you right in his head cuz he sees and comes back and you meet him probably within 3 to 4 ft. Is >> that true? >> So he he ran up to the front and then he ran back at you. >> No, he ran around the front around the other side and was coming at me like he was going to tackle me. >> So he ran all the way around the front. That's what you're saying. >> No, that's not right. That's not right. That's where I remember it happening. >> Okay. So, let's you got to remember we've been at the scene. We've seen the blood on the ground where we can see he is driving. I want you to be honest with me. >> I am. >> After the first shot, where does he go? >> Like I said, I remember him running around the front of it. >> But eventually, you you two meet pretty close. probably within this this distance. Three, four, three and a half ft. Yeah. And you still got your gun out? Yeah. Is that when you shot him in the face? >> Well, he was running at me. >> Okay. And then once he falls, crack him in the skull. Shoot him in the skull. Top of the head. >> Yeah, I guess so. Cuz that time I panicked. >> That's a hell of a panic. I know cops when they panic, they don't hit the broadside of a barn. >> What you done was calculated. You're a good shop. Avid gun owner. We have proof of all that, right? You are very organized. None of your other guns are loaded, so you know exactly what guns are loaded. Everything has its place in your room. All right. You're very organized. So, you picked your gun up with preconceived calculation that if this man, this child molester, is not going to admit to it, you're going to take the law in your own hands, right? >> I guess so. No. [clears throat] And if he don't admit to it and if I if we can't get him in the court to convict him of it, you're going to take the law in your own hands. You're going to be judge, jury, and executioner. Am I right? >> I guess so. >> That was your thought going through your head as you walked three or 400 yards to get to this man. stealthily, mind you, drew tall overgrow weeds, threw a small expanse of honeysuckle, wait till his wife goes inside, and then you just gingerely walk. So after you kill him, you gingerely walk away. What would you have done if somebody had been outside? Would you have shot and killed them, too? No. You didn't I mean you didn't worry about anybody seeing you? >> No, not not not at that point >> because the way you walked onto the property just all non salon. You just killed a man and you walk off the property all non salon. Go into your house, hide your gun, and ask your dad to take you to the vets store. Well, my dad was going to go there already at that time. >> You didn't think to tell your old man that a I just shot and killed the neighbor for molesting his son? >> No, I didn't say nothing. >> Why not? >> Was that didn't want to warn him, I guess. >> Is that Is that trip to the pet store the planned? So, you guys had planned that trip, right? >> A couple >> Your dad had planned to go there. You guys, you knew you knew you were going there Saturday morning, >> right? >> Well, I didn't know we was going Saturday morning. My dad called me and stuff and told me I didn't know earlier in the week, right? But you knew that morning you were going to the pet store, right? I guess. Yeah. Is that why you chose to go over there and confront him that morning? Cuz you knew you were going to be gone soon? >> Honestly, no. I just What time did you get up Saturday morning? Uh I don't know. It was early in the morning at diner. I eat over the hill. They open at 6:00 and >> So you you've been up all morning? >> Well, not all morning. Probably maybe I don't know 8 8:30. >> 8 8:30. So they were out doing yard work pretty much at daybreak. Were you pissed that they were out doing yard work, being loud? >> Well, I didn't hear nothing in the house. I didn't know nobody was out there till I walked back there. Did you walk back there first, see him back there, and then come back in and get your gun? >> No. >> So, why'd you grab your gun? >> I don't know. Just >> you walked back there to kill him. That's why you grabbed your gun. You were going to take the law in your own hands. Not at first, but like I said, >> but you had that thought in your mind that if he didn't >> give you the answers that you wanted, >> give you the proper answers and turn himself in that you were going to kill him. All right. Judge, jury, and executioner. >> Well, I was worried >> that that you were worried for that boy, so you figured you would take >> Yeah. And his sister and his wife and everything. And I mean I know what >> did you ever think about killing that man before? >> No. >> Why? Why Saturday? >> I don't know. Just what made it what made Saturday just the be the most beautifulst day to wake up and go, I'm going to go be a vigilante today. What made what made Saturday be that day? I honestly I don't know on that. I don't >> You talk on that CD quite a bit, don't you? >> Sometimes. >> What's your uh what's your handle? >> I never really had one. >> You never had one? So, what do they call you on there? >> Austin. >> Austin. You uh you a part of any groups? >> No. >> NRA, Patriots of America? >> No. >> Nothing? I like that. >> You got a Facebook? What's your name on Facebook? >> Austin Combmes on Facebook. >> Austin Combmes. >> What's your profile picture look like? >> Just uh it's a there's a picture of Swift from an old cowboy movie and got a cow in the background. That's it. >> Like hang them high. >> That one. >> Something like that. >> Yeah. Look, I know people make mistakes and I've had a real bad miserable sickly life my whole life, I just I was just saying, you know, if I'd sacrifice myself and then, you know, do whatever I have to have to go through that. >> Listen to me, Austin. Do you think that guy >> Thunderbolt? >> Yeah. >> Do you think that guy deserved to die? honest. Do you think you deserve to die? >> I don't think anybody deserves to die. But if you're you're torturing them, molesting the poor kid and putting them through hell and >> you think they deserve to die. >> I just I wanted them people to be okay if that's what was truly going on. Okay. I wanted I didn't know what else to do. >> You didn't Why didn't you call 911? Why didn't you call the sheriff's office? We do this for a living. It's our jobs to investigate things. >> I didn't know what else to do. And like I said, I know how people get scared situations like that. Believe me, I know. When I was a kid, my half brother [clears throat] tried to molest me and everything else. And so, let's get back to the uh So, you didn't call the cops about the breakin at the house, right? So, that's [ __ ] I know you're trying to paint yourself into the corner as being a victim in this. >> I'm not trying to, >> Austin. You're telling me that this dude who's owns a $300,000 house next door broke into your basement for what reason? That's [ __ ] >> I told you the reason yesterday and it's not [ __ ] >> Your dad sat there and he didn't believe you either. >> Well, he wasn't even there. >> That's [ __ ] >> I've tried to tell him too. The reason a guy broke in is because I told you Karma and Aaron Neville. Okay. My mother's sister Karma, her husband Aaron. Aaron was in the military. Aaron knows this guy. Knows him for a while. I don't know if he was in the military or what. His son, my cousin Cody, when Cody lived in Tennessee, got involved with a drug dealer down there. >> So, what the [ __ ] does that have to do with your neighbor? >> Let let me explain it. >> Look, this doesn't come back around. It's >> No, this is rambling. I'm not. >> Your neighbor did not break into your basement. >> Yes, he did. >> That is [ __ ] >> Yeah, I can tell you right there how he done it. >> How'd he do it? >> He come in a little side window on the side of the house in the basement where the damn air conditioner unit is. There's a fuel furnace right there in the basement. He took the window sill out. The window was unlocked. He come in feet first. He had metal over his boots. He got metal over the fuel tank. He was there right there in the basement. Right there in front of the fuel tank. That is a story that you have calculated. Mud all over the fuel oil tank. That's horseshit. I don't believe that you were trying to paint yourself into the corner as a victim and that you went over there and killed this guy because he broke into your house. >> Not because that's [ __ ] >> Not because of that. It's because a poor kid was getting molested. So why are you making up a story about him burglarizing your house and stealing your underwear? >> I'm not. That was a couple years ago. The one thing kept adding up and I just kept thinking he was a bigger weirdo and a bigger weirdo and everything else. So, you think that a guy breaks in your house? How many times you said? >> Maybe two or three. I think >> three times he breaks into your house and you don't tell anybody. Nobody. >> I tried to tell my dad everything else. >> He did. He had no idea. He had never heard that story ever. >> Yes. >> When you explained to him No. No, he hadn't. He had never heard that. You had never said anything. And he conveniently wasn't home. And you didn't tell a soul that somebody burglarized your house three separate occasions and you said nothing to anybody >> until now when it's convenient for you. >> So what is the truth? What was I supposed to do? I was sure myself. >> If somebody broke into my house and stole my underwear, I'd call the police. >> Yeah. >> If they did it three times, you damn sure I'm going to call the police. You had him at gunpoint supposedly one time with a gun in his waist. >> Yeah. You gave him a good talking to and you had a 20 gauge shotgun pointed at him. >> Who the hell? >> That's a prime opportunity to call the police. >> You said that? >> Yeah. When he was in the basement. Why would you call the cops? >> I didn't have a phone. Okay. At that time. Okay. I didn't. Okay. >> So, you you you had a nice talk with him and you walked him upstairs and escorted him out of the house. >> Why didn't you shoot him then? cuz I was scared and I didn't want nothing like that on my conscience. And I know how people go to jail for [ __ ] like that every damn day. >> When when they burglarize their house and have them at gunpoint. >> Yeah. I I don't know any. >> That's called self-defense, right? >> Well, look, I don't know. I mean, I just want to know why you're having to death. >> Why you're making that up? >> I'm not making this up. If you two, just give me a damn second. I'll explain the whole thing about Aaron Karma and this and all this. >> I've already heard it. for her. >> Yeah, he heard it for about five [ __ ] hours >> and it doesn't come back to fruition. It don't make any sense. >> I know it don't make no sense. >> It's a story that you have fabricated. >> It's not a story. I'm telling you the truth. I don't know. >> There was no burglar. >> Yeah, there was. Just because I didn't have cameras at the house in that damn time. >> Didn't say cameras. You didn't tell a soul. Nobody. You didn't tell anybody. >> Can I tell you why? >> A neighbor broke in your house three times. Why? Yeah, I've told him next door. I went over there and told him to please knock it off and everything else. So, I was going to call the police. I did several times years ago when this happened. >> You called the police several times. >> I told him years ago. I walked over and told you years ago. >> What? What do you mean by years ago? >> Yeah, like several years ago. Several years. Anytime something happened in the past to you, it's several years ago. >> Yeah, like three or four years. You confronted those people on some outlandish [ __ ] but never, not once, did you ever confront him about supposedly burging your house? Why? maybe molesting some kids, but definitely breaking into you over there and throw a [ __ ] fit that one of their packages was accidentally delivered to your house and throw A FIT ABOUT A GODDAMN package but not burging your house. What sense does that make? You go up there and argue about a political debate and blame this man for the state of our country because he's a Democrat for what reason? I don't know. That's the reason we live here. Cuz we can vote for who we want. But not for breaking in your house with a gun. Why? >> I did a long time ago. It ain't on video. I told him I confronted when he was out in the front of the yard. >> You calculated killing that man Saturday morning. >> Well, no. Not at first, like I said. >> But you knew you were going to if he didn't answer the questions that you wanted him to answer. Well, no. I didn't know I was going to do anything. It's just a freak thing and it that happened. >> Judge, jury, and executioners was going through your mind. You saying you thought you were a true patriot, a true keeper of the law, a true protector of the citizens and went over there and murdered this guy. You murdered this guy. Walking up to a guy and he doesn't answer the questions the way you want to and pulling a gun out and pulling the hammer back and then shooting him. That's not an accident. >> That is intent to kill. And then when he came at you, you shot him in the face at least three times and then finished one in the top of his head. Look, that's that's intent to kill. That's not intent to get questions. An accident is boom. Oh [ __ ] I shot this guy. 911, what's your emergency? I accidentally shot my neighbor. Then take my comeuppance. Not boom, boom, boom, boom. I mean, I can see the little smirk on your face cuz you can see it. You can see it in your mind. The thrill that you felt by killing this child molester. Am I right? Yeah. Yeah. It's It's on my face right now. You're smirking. >> You can see this man dying, shooting this man in the face three times. It's right there. It's right there in your eyes, bro. >> And you're smiling about it. >> I'm not smiling about nothing. Just watch you smile about it. >> You got satisfaction because you thought you were an upholder of the law. Judge, jury, and executioner. You knew you were going to kill that man. That's the reason you grabbed your gun. No other time had you been over there with a gun. >> The gun that you know sits in your basement loaded. >> You snuck back there without them seeing you. Thank God it was just him and not his wife. Cuz she was out there. You watched him from the treeine. You watched her go in. >> Well, why the hell would I shoot his wife? >> She ain't never done nothing to nobody. That's why you waited for her to go in the house and waited for him to turn his back before you walked over there and executed him in his backyard. >> What if she would have ran out while you were doing it? I mean, there there's a thousand what if scenarios here. I'm just glad she walked inside and she didn't have to watch the neighbor murder her husband in cold blood. The neighbor that they haven't spoken to in almost a month. the neighbor that waves at them when they drive by. You woke up, knew you were going to kill this guy. Ah, you went and ate breakfast. You did some other [ __ ] grabbed your gun, snuck out back, and knew you were going to kill that guy when he told wasn't going to give you the answers that you felt that you deserved. >> It didn't have nothing to do with me deserving anything. >> Apparently, it did. You're You're the one getting satisfaction off of it. How >> am I getting satisfaction off of it? >> Cuz you're sitting there smiling. >> If that poor kid was going through hell and getting molested and his wife was going through hell and his sister that was out there being choked and everything else, >> that's who you call right there. We do this, not you. We do this. All right, we're done. Austin Jean Combmes was indicted in November 2022 on one count of aggravated murder with a firearm specification in connection with the 2022 shooting death of his neighbor in Okana, Butler County, Ohio. He has never stood trial on the charges. After multiple forensic evaluations, he was found incompetent to stand trial. And in August 2024, a Butler County Common Please Court judge ruled he was not restorable to competency within the statutory time limit. The court retained jurisdiction and Combmes was ordered to remain in treatment at Summit Behavioral Health in Cincinnati indefinitely unless and until restored to competency, at which point the aggravated murder case could proceed to trial. As of the most recent verified public reports, he remains under that treatment order with no conviction or criminal sentence imposed.
