I said, "We need to tell them what's going on. We need to tell the truth. We need help. We need safety. We need protection. We need protection. We were supposed to be under protection." On October 19th, 2025 in Sequum Carlsborg, Clum County, Washington, Rosario Lopez Castro was brought in for questioning in connection with the stabbing and carjacking of Melvin Swaggerty, who survived the attack. Spoiler details are in the video description, and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. file. We were driving it in and out of nowhere. >> Mhm. >> Four cars came. Poor cars came and blocked us around. I don't know who was it. They have face masks. >> Mhm. and gave me and >> the four climate. What happened with the four? >> We all got so >> You all got out of the car? >> Yeah, they threw us out of our car. >> Okay. And then what >> this? >> Then what? Then I don't remember. I think you threw us out of the car. I don't remember after that for for a minute. I guess they threw us out of car into another car into a van, a big van because they waited till we got to a stoplight. No, not on stop light. Stop sign. We waited till we got to the stop sign and they cornered us like there and they put us in a big giant black like box, you know, one of those big giant vans. Yeah. >> They put us in there and [clears throat] after that I remember exactly what was happening. or what was going on cuz we were trying to go to the office where we go talk to the um what what you guys are you know tict the I guess they already >> the police department already knew you know that's so they told them we were on our way to us there because they were expecting to set us up with >> with some >> Yeah. >> somection and put us on our um what is it called? >> How did you how did you get out of the van? >> They how did we got out of it? That's thing. I don't remember. I remember how we got out of I don't remember how we got out. >> What's the next thing you do remember? >> That's um I remember waking up And we were in St. We were in a small little car. >> Okay. Tell me about the small little car. >> We were in this small little car. I woke up. Nick woke up and we were all in this little car. We were all stars like he was looking around. How did you get in that small little car? >> That's the thing. We don't remember getting into the small car. >> Okay. >> We were We were trying to figure out like We were trying to figure that out. >> Okay. Tell me about the small little car. What it look like? At least I thought I was screaming cuz I don't know because it was dark. >> Okay. >> When we woke up it was dark. >> Where did you wake up at? What was it like? What did it look like outside? >> It was inale. >> It was what? In Silverdale. >> Yeah. >> How do you know you were in Silverdale? >> Because I've been in Silverdale so many times in the past. >> Okay. inside my house already look like. >> And what do you >> what did you do after you woke up? >> I make sure I have all my kids. All my kids. >> Okay. >> And then what happened? >> They're all breathing. So we start the car. Then we were driving and um we were almost out of another car to it. >> Hey Liz. >> Yeah. >> Try drink some water. Okay. Drink some water. >> All right. >> You're okay. Kind of warm in here too. >> Yeah. And out of nowhere, the car just stops. >> The car stopped. >> Yeah. Cuz we were trying to get to the highway or get to anywhere we could think of to get out of where we were at. Okay. >> When we woke up, we were like in a place where like somewhere in Sarido where we didn't even know where we were at. We're like, we knew it was Sarido, but we didn't know where staff me and Sarido we were at. >> And then you said the car started in for a little bit and once we got up the hill and it stopped again and it was shaking. It was blinking lights and everything in the car. It was weird. It was so weird. >> And >> then what happened? Then we fell asleep again. >> You fell asleep again? >> Yeah, all of us. >> Okay. >> Who was the driver of that car? >> Nick. >> Nick. >> Nick was driving. >> Did Did somebody else drive it before? Nick, >> we don't know cuz we woke up in it. >> We woke up in the car. >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> All All you and Nick. And then >> Mhm. >> Where were you sitting? >> I was sitting in the [clears throat] passenger seat with I was sitting in the passenger seat. He was heavy. >> Where were the kids? >> In the back. >> Okay. All seven of them. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Cool. >> And when we woke up, like I said, >> why didn't you call? Did you try calling anyone for help or >> We couldn't. That's the thing. >> The phones were dead. >> Okay. My phones were dead. There's no chargers, the correct chargers for it to fit our phone. Like, it was really strange and so weird. I don't get it. I don't get it. >> It is. [clears throat] What's What's your phone number while we're talking about phones? >> 3604619199. >> 9199. And what's Nick's phone number? >> I don't know. I have to look for it. >> What type of phone do you have? >> Who lives? >> What type of phone do you have? >> I have Verizon. >> Verizon. >> Verizon iPhone. Okay. >> What type of phone does Nick have? >> Um, a Switch. >> A Switch. >> A switch. Something. Yeah. >> Okay. I think. I'm not sure. Is that their Verizon? >> I know. I just know a smartphone. >> Okay. Yeah. No, I get that. >> Um, you know, it has I think mobile or something like that. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, >> so we wake up, we uh open up drink and when we wake up, we hear a knock on the window again. And I looked up and it's the cops. I was so happy at the moment. I was happy. I was like because I already knew we were, you know, we were here already in this place, but no one has thrown us to help us. And why no one's stopping to help us? We thought that was strange, too. >> Okay. >> But the cops came. And they knocked on the door and I was so happy. I was at peace. I thought we were going to be fine. We were going to be safe and everything was going to be okay. They didn't want to say much to me at all. They didn't want to me. >> Okay. >> And so they only wanted Nick and they put Nick in the police officer car and they only talked to him, not me. And still now they read they didn't said much to me at all. They didn't say anything to me >> or talk to me about anything. And you guys are the first ones I'm able to talk to. >> So, and then what happened after that? And oh, so since they got like a car and arrested and put them in the back, I don't know where they come and just take me to the >> the jail. >> The jail and I don't know. And I don't. >> So Liz, Liz, um, you you seem to be going to sleep a little bit here. I need you just to wake up just a little bit. Just a little bit longer. >> Okay. >> Liz, it's really important that we know how you got hold of that car. >> Okay. >> And you're I feel like you're holding something back. >> Mhm. >> All right. We need to know what that is, how that came about. >> Can you tell me about that? >> Why? >> That's really important. how you got that car. >> I don't know how we got that car. >> But you you must have got into it, right? >> I woke up in that car. >> Yeah. >> I don't know how I got in that car. >> Okay. Do Do you um [clears throat] Did Nick help you? Did he help you get in the car or out the car? Did he move the kids? >> No. No, >> he didn't help us cuz we if we were all asleep, we all woke up in the car. >> Okay. >> Unless he put us in I don't know. Like I said, we were >> Hey. >> Yes. >> So, I mean, at this there's a small little car, right? >> Yeah. >> Seven people and you wake up from Port Angeles. >> Mhm. >> To down to Silverdale with seven people in a car, right? I Why would they put you leave you in Silverdale? And then so not a lot of this is adding up for us, Liz. Is that what we're trying to say? Okay. I don't know if you are afraid to tell us what happened. Okay. So, but it's really important we know the truth cuz we can't do anything or help anybody until we know the truth. But there's a lot a lot of stuff happened last night. >> So, it's really important for us to know what really happened. No. >> Okay. I really don't know what really happened. How I got into that car. >> Why don't you Why don't you think you know? >> Because I don't remember. >> Well, why why do you think you don't remember? >> Because of the drugs they kept going in the cars. >> Okay. >> Do you remember walking along the highway yesterday? >> Yes. >> Okay. You remember walking with the kids? >> Mhm. >> When When was that? Was that Was that before or after um the car those vans pulled up? >> Liz, >> um I think it happened after those vans pulled up. >> Well, how how did you get out of the vans and then we're walking down the highway? >> I don't remember what happened afterwards. Okay. So, so you're >> It says, "I remember I do remember a time when we were walking on the highway." >> Okay. >> I do remember that. >> And you remember Nicholas making a phone call, right? Using someone's phone. >> Yeah. >> Who'd [clears throat] he call? >> He called his brother. >> Called his brother. What did he call his brother about? >> Picking us up. >> Okay. >> His brother didn't answer though. >> No, his brother did answer. Yeah. >> Said he was out of town. I found it strange cuz I was like, "How does that work?" >> Okay. >> But none of this makes sense to me at all. And that's where I'm confused. I just know I got drugged and my kids got drugged and I'm tired of this >> and I don't [laughter] want to feel like this and I don't want my kids getting hurt. >> Well, your kids are safe right now. Okay. I don't want >> and we're we're trying to make sure that doesn't happen again, right? That's that's really important to us. >> Please save my [laughter] family. >> So, what happened after Nick made that phone call? >> We were just walking. >> Okay, >> we're walking cuz he said that that guy that he used the phone of, he said that guy was a part of it. And I said, "How do you know who's part of it and who's not?" Okay. So when you carried on walking and what happened next? >> Keep on walking. >> Yeah. >> Then that was it. >> So did somebody else help you? >> I don't remember that thing. We were walking out of nowhere. I just I sat down for a minute cuz I got so tired. And so the kids and I told Nick, "We're going to sit down for a minute." Said, "Okay. And then I don't know where we I just don't remember. >> Okay. So >> then we wake up. >> Do you remember somebody else giving you a ride? >> So not the people in the van, but do you remember somebody else giving you a ride? >> I think so. >> Okay. What happened with that person? Don't know. >> Yeah. What What were they driving? >> Like I said, I think like a greenish bluish car. I couldn't really tell. >> Okay. Well, that that's good. Okay. And how big was that car? >> Huh? >> How big was that car? >> Was it big car or little little car? >> Medium size. Medium. Okay. Yeah. And did was everybody able to get in that car? >> Huh? >> Was everybody able to get in that car? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Okay. Well, that's good. Okay. So, did that So, where did you go from there once you were in that car? Liz, where did you go from there? >> No, we went to a swim. >> To swim. Okay. And then So, did that person stay with you, Liz? Did some Did that person stay with you in the car? >> I remember stopping. >> Uh-huh. And do you remember why that was that you stopped? >> Okay. Do you remember anybody saying anything? >> Somebody said fool. And I don't know what that means. Fool. So >> I look for the fool. >> What? >> I said what's fool? I kept saying what's fool. >> Uhhuh. >> And I didn't understand. >> Okay. >> And I said what fool? What fool mean? >> Right. >> So what happened when that when that was said? >> And when that was said, next thing I know, I'm passed out. >> Okay. >> Because the car have fumes in it. >> Okay. >> Too. And I [clears throat] didn't realize it until I noticed my daughter passed out. >> So first, >> Rosario, so that person that was also in the car that stopped and helped you, did did he stay in the car? Did he >> When I woke up again after he got done saying that word, cuz that person that was in the car that said that >> word afterwards, >> Uhhuh. >> I guess I fell I fell asleep. >> Uhhuh. And I was when I woke up, he was gone. [clears throat] >> But you said the car stopped first. >> Yes. >> Okay. When it stopped, did you did you see anything happen? >> Did you hear anything going on? >> No. That's the thing. When the car stopped, it's when he said full. >> Uh-huh. >> And I said, "What's full?" And next thing I know, I just my eyes closed and I was like, >> "Yeah." What? What about Nick? Did Nick say anything? >> What was What was happening to Nick? >> Nick said you working for the fools? Really? >> He said that? >> Yes. >> Oh, really? >> Uh-huh. >> Okay. And then what did he do? >> That's all I heard. And like I said, I was passing out slowly. >> Uhhuh. >> And so that's all I heard by that. >> Okay. [clears throat] So, how come you ended up with with um how did Nick end up driving? >> I don't know. >> Cuz he was the driver, right? When you woke up, you said he was in the driver's seat, right? So, how did he end up in the driver's seat? What seat was he in when you when this person was was uh driving? Liz, what what seat was he in when he said fall? Where was Nick? Liz, >> I think I think in the driver's seat. >> Nick was in the driver's seat when he said four. >> So, where was the other man? >> I don't know. That's the thing. >> Where Where were you sitting? >> In the back with all the kids. >> Okay, that's what I'm saying. >> That makes more sense. I get that now. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. I was sitting in the back with all the kids. there's it's not coming in. So I kept trying roll down the window to keep it >> right to get the fumes out and all that. Yeah. >> Okay. >> I passed out after they started talking after he parked the car >> middle of [clears throat] the um side of the road for some reason. >> Right. I was like, huh? >> So So who who was it that said fool? Was that the driver? [clears throat] >> The other guy. >> The other guy. Okay. Not Nick. And Nick was which seat was Nick in? >> In the passenger seat. Okay. At the front there. Okay. Okay. >> Oh, I think I do one thing I do remember is that there was four cars. >> Uh-huh. >> One on this side, one on this side, and one on this side. And he said, he yelled fool. And it was like, you're working for the fools, right? You're setting us up. >> Mhm. >> You're going kill. Really? How could you do this? That's all. >> That must have been terrible. >> Yeah, that's all I remember. >> So So you he thought he was working for your uh who's it? Brother-in-law. No, no, your friend's boyfriend. >> Mhm. >> What was his name? Do we know his name? >> The boyfriend? No. >> Yeah. So So Nick thought he was working for him. >> He's working for the [clears throat] fool. Is that who he was calling? The fool. Yeah. So what happened then? >> I just I passed that. >> Okay. But was Nick, you said he was from the sound of it, you said he was upset. What What did he do? >> I don't know what he did cuz I passed out. >> Right. >> That's all I heard. >> Yeah. Okay. And but as you're passing out, you can still hear, right? So, did you hear anything? >> I just stop. I don't know what that meant. I didn't know who said stop. Okay. >> They're above y'all. I couldn't I couldn't see cuz I was passed out. >> No, but that's good. What you just said, that's good that So, you did hear some more stuff as you're passing out, right? >> That's good information, right? So, what what else did you hear him say? Who Who was saying stop? Stop. >> That's what I'm trying to say. Who stop? >> Who was it? Who was it that was saying it? Was it Nick or was it the other guy? Nick, >> Liz, >> it was Nick saying, "Stop. Stop." >> Nick was saying, "Stop." >> Yes. >> Okay. And then uh when did that stop? >> I don't remember cuz I was completely passed out by then after stop. >> Okay. >> And I didn't have no more voices cuz I was >> knocked out. >> Right. And when your eyes are closed, sometimes you can see flashing lights and things like that. Did you see anything like that going on? >> Flashing lights? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. And then did anybody say anything? So just as you're going back, you're going off, Liz. Just as you're going off, did you hear him say anything else? >> Okay. And why do you think Nick was saying stop, Liz? Why do you think Nick was saying stop? I guess he was. >> But this one, >> I guess I think Nick was getting beaten up. >> Oh. Oh, wow. That's amazing. Why? What was going on? Why was Nick getting beaten up? >> I don't know >> what. That's what I'm saying. >> It's because this guy he called a fool. You think it's this guy? >> I don't know. I don't understand. >> Yeah, I it's I know it's terrible and I'm sorry to that that we've got to talk with you, but you know, we want to finish. But >> I know I know I know, >> but we want to find out what happened to Nick. >> I don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. >> So, there was What made What made you think he was getting beaten up? >> Because Nick was feeling so soft. >> Ah, okay. Okay. And then could could you hear anything else happening that would would indicate that? Um, you know, was there any other noises being made by the two people? >> Besides doors shutting and that was it. >> Uh-huh. >> I didn't see. That's all I heard. >> Okay. Okay. Was there um could you see any anything? No. How when afterwards when did you see anything on Nick? Was he okay? >> He had bruises on him when when I woke up when I was in the passenger side. >> Okay. Where was his bruises? >> On his face. >> His arms. >> And what did those bruises look like? >> I don't know. I couldn't see as well. >> What What color were they? >> I think they're like reddish. >> Red. Okay. Red bruises on his face and arms. >> Mhm. >> Wow. Oh, and what did he do? How did he get rid of those bruises, Liz? How did he get rid of the bruises? Cuz that must have hurt. >> He didn't have rid of the brushes. >> He didn't get rid of them. So, he still has them, >> I think. So, >> okay. >> I don't know. >> But you could see them on his face and on his arms. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. since like it was dark out so I don't know but >> you know I don't know if the bruises or not. >> Yeah. >> But so >> right now it's during the day time and I can see him and I don't know how he looks like right now. I don't know how my husband looks. I don't know how my kids look. I don't know. Well, we're we're hoping to talk with him in a minute and and and we'll be able to pass him on that you're worried about him that that you know he he can maybe reach [clears throat] out to you some >> I want to be okay. I want to [crying] be okay. >> So, I I understand that Nick likes knives. There was when when you were doing donuts, there was a big red knife. >> There's a what? >> A big knife in the car. That >> there's a big It's not a big It's like a normal pocket knife. >> Okay. What color is it? >> Um is it brown >> brown knife? Is it Whose pocket was it in? >> His >> in Nick's pocket. Who did Is that the one that he had to leave behind that the detective took or not detective the sergeant took? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Was there any more knives in the car? >> No. >> Cuz cuz I I understand that there was like a big knife that was put back into the Durango. >> No. >> Very nice. >> Okay. Was there Did Nick have uh this brown one that he has in his pocket? What? Describe Can you describe that to me, Liz? The brown one was the one of the other little knives that he had. >> Oh, okay. >> A small one. >> So, that wasn't the one that that he had to leave the >> He left He had to leave his chairs cuz they were kind of too big. But they let him have the small one. >> Okay. And what was that small one look like? Did you say it was in his pocket? >> Yeah, I [clears throat] think. >> Does he normally carry that knife, >> Liz? Is that Is that knife is is that the brown knife you're talking about? >> Huh? >> Liz, is that the brown knife you're talking about? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Does he normally carry that one? >> Sometimes just depends if he can find a big one that can carry >> because they're pretty useful, right? So, I can understand why. >> Mhm. >> But what did it look like? >> No, it was small. >> Okay. >> Okay. And how did you how did you get the blade? >> How you get the blade? >> Yeah. >> It's just It's a knife. So, it's together. I don't know. >> Some of them slide and some of them bend. >> Oh, this one slides out. >> It slides out. >> No, it doesn't. >> Oh, it doesn't slide out. Okay. And it's brown and it so it opens. >> It's open. I mean, it's just a small little touch. It's just like And it has the same on the on the thing right here. >> Oh, wow. On on the handle. Yeah. Was it? >> No, not on the handle. On the on the um right here >> on the blade. >> Yeah. Okay. Was it a present for him? >> Okay. Who from his second cousin? >> Ah. >> Um he passed away. >> Okay. So he still had that one when he left the sheriff's office. >> Huh? >> He still had that one when he left the sheriff's office cuz that one was okay, right? >> Okay. Can you give us one second, Liz? I'm gonna talk to my partner outside real quick. >> And the cameras are still on. Okay. Drink some water. >> We'll be right back. >> Hey, Louis. So, real quick, we're almost done. I just I got a few few things, right? Why do you think detectives from Col County are here talking to you? >> Because you guys seen us. >> We haven't. Why else do you think? Um, >> I guess you guys want to help us. >> I mean, we want to help everyone, but why do you think we're talking to From what happened last night? Do you think we're talking? And like, did they tell you why you're in jail? >> No, that's a thing. No one has talked to me. No one told me. >> In kids County, that car you were in was stolen. Okay. >> Mhm. >> What do you remember from the inside of the car? If you just had to picture in your brain, do you remember anything that stood out to you about the inside of the vehicle? >> The radio. >> What about the radio? >> It was flashing. >> It was flashing. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you remember anything else about the car that wouldn't be in a normal car or anything like that? >> No. Okay. So, the reason why the detectives are here is because the person that owned that car >> Mhm. was um assaulted >> and stabbed repeatedly and is now at Harborview. Okay. >> And then you two and your kids were in the car. Okay. And that's why kind of wondering you said there was a fight between Nick and the guy up front. Tell me what did the guy look like that was drive that picked you guys up. >> Liz, what did the guy look like? >> He was tall. >> Tall. Okay. What else? >> Glasses. >> Okay. Was he younger? Older? >> He was what? >> Older. >> Older. Okay. So, what do you think happened to that guy? >> He I don't know. He got hurt at the same time. >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> I don't know what happened. >> Do you think there's anything else that's important for us to know about him or what happened to him? I know that from from all I heard from yelling was that he was worthless Nick's mom and that he was the one that tricked Nick's mom. >> He was the one that tricked Nick's mom. >> Okay. And why do you say that from the yelling? What did you hear in the yelling that makes you believe that? >> I mean like because he was working with Next Mom. He said he was working. >> He works at Nick's mom's actual job. >> Where does Nick's mom work? >> At [clears throat] Reflections. And so she he believes that I was his hair. >> Okay. You need that. Okay. Mark, but um you think it was a setup? [snorts] >> Where did he pick you guys up at? >> Liz, >> where did he where did that guy pick you up at? You and your kids? >> On the highway. >> On the highway. Do you remember where near? Was it Port Angeles? >> Port. >> Okay. Okay. So, like I said, right now, um, you're in custody at the Kip County Jail. >> Mhm. >> For possession of a stolen vehicle. Okay. >> No, I didn't stole it. >> I said possession, not that you stole it. Okay. You guys were in control of a stolen vehicle. So, Kitap County has charges on you for that. Okay. >> Okay. Now, we can only help if we know the truth. >> That's all. >> I I don't think you're telling me everything. Okay. >> That's all I know. >> Okay. >> I really do. That's all I know. [clears throat] >> That's the thing I've been telling the truth from the beginning. That's why I went >> to the jail to [laughter] get out for my family. >> Well, after your husband got released from the jail, you guys just left, right? [clears throat] >> Yes. It's cuz we were going to go to the other station. >> Why didn't you go to the other station then? >> Because we didn't made it there. I just said >> the other station's across the street. The police station's right across the street from the jail. >> The police station is across the street. >> From the jail. Yeah. >> It's not on Eve Street. >> No. Well, you said you made it to the highway and your car broke down near the highway. So that's way farther away than 8th Street or across the street. >> No, I said we made it to the highway because of So car broke down. We stopped at a stop pl at a stop sign. >> Yeah, >> we stopped at a stop sign. That's where we all got taken out the car. >> Yeah, you said that. But then after that, you were walking on the highway. >> Yeah. >> So, how'd you get out of the out of the car? These four cars pull up, take you out of the car, and then they just let you go on the highway to walk. >> Yeah. >> Okay. See how that Why would they >> That makes sense. Why would they make sense? But I mean, like, >> I don't know. I don't know why. >> Okay. >> I'm just I'm telling you everything. >> Okay. It don't make sense to me either. Okay. I wish it made sense. I [clears throat] wish it made sense. But >> okay, it doesn't matter that it doesn't make sense right now because all this stuff will come together in the end. It'll all make sense in the end, but all those little bits and pieces that you know that you can remember are all things that going to help it come together. You know, the little extra bits that you remembered as you were as you were falling asleep. I mean, that's all helpful as to understanding. >> When I fall asleep in the car, I just remember [laughter] I could barely breathe and I feel like I was gassing for air. >> Mhm. >> And I just know Nick was really mad and upset. I know that. >> Uhhuh. >> I know what happened to the other guy. I was pretty much passed out. I just know they were fighting and yelling. So, I don't know if Nick hurt him or not. I don't know. >> Okay. >> Do Do you think he could hurt somebody like that? >> I don't want to believe he would. I don't want to believe he would, but I don't know because he's so angry. >> And I've said that so many people have gotten hurt already. [clears throat] And I know it's so painful to lose people in your family that you love and care about [laughter] and to be scared to lose your mom and your kids. I get that. But I don't think Nick [snorts] do something like that did. is because he probably [laughter] had to say he had to do self-defense. I don't know. I don't know. >> Okay, that's fine. I understand. >> That's the only thing I can think of. >> Okay. Do you think it was could have been self-defense? >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, why do you think it was self-defense? Because the other guy said it in the car that he had to turn us in. >> Turn you into who? >> The person that want to kill us. Kill my family. >> Was that before or after? Um he said fool. >> After he said they were fool. >> He said fool and then he said he was going to turn you turn you in. >> Mhm. >> And then Okay. Yeah. Killing us in this car. >> He was He said that. >> Yeah. >> So, what exactly did the guy say? >> That's why he said in that car. >> He was going, "Okay." >> And that's why the fumes were in that car very slowly to me. >> Well, wouldn't the fumes affect him, too? No, because this window was rolled down all the way. That was the first sign. >> Okay. >> Hey, it's been really nice meeting you. I've got to go and do something right now. Um, >> can you text me the that detective's number, by the way, so I can >> Hey, but nice meeting you. Okay. >> Bye-bye. >> Okay. So, [snorts] >> so I that's one thing we did I did notice right away from the beginning when I got in their car is that that window the driver passenger seat the window was all the way down. >> The driver and passenger window was all the way down. >> No, just the driver. >> Driver. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Were in the back seat. Were you where in the back seat were you >> on the door behind Nick? [clears throat] behind the back behind neck. Okay. >> And the windows back there were always rolled it up. >> Okay. >> And I roll it down cuz the me >> You did roll it down or >> Yes, cuz I I smelt it in the car. The same one the same smell that was inside of our car. >> Did the rolling it down help? >> Yes. Okay. >> It help a tiny bit because I would have passed out sooner. >> Okay. And that's why my lips are like this because it's old. >> Okay. >> Who get it? Why are people evil like that in the world? >> That's why >> we're here to find out the truth about everything. Like I know there's cartels and stuff, but I don't believe I don't ever believe that my family would [laughter] I hate this. I want this nightmare to end. >> I can't imagine it's probably been a very long 24 hours for you. Okay. And how am I supposed to know if my mom is actually okay? If no one actually has her How am I supposed to know if no one has actually [laughter] been inside my parents home? >> Well, we can check on your your mom. Okay. Do you think something may have happened to her? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you know your mom's phone number? >> What [laughter] What's your mom's phone number? 360. >> One second. 386. Um 360 >> 461 >> 461 >> 9199 Okay. And that that's at 80 Peninsula Street, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, >> and like I said, my sister >> I'm pretty sure people have already talked to your mom this morning, actually. So, >> but in person >> I probably here soon if they haven't already. Okay. >> I want people to start seeing her. >> They will. [laughter] >> It don't make sense. >> Their phone calls don't make sense. How they talk is not making sense. >> Okay. So all the stuff about people like out to get you and stuff, was that did you see any of that stuff yourself or did Nick tell you? >> Yes. No, I saw the signs and I saw the people. I saw the cars following us blocking us in >> and >> his brother told me. >> His brother told you what? >> What his brother said? He said, "If I don't pick my phone up after us talking today, it's cuz I had it to go." >> Cuz he what? >> Cuz he had to go. >> Had to go. >> As they got to him as they killed him and we haven't heard from him at all. Well, your phones were dead, so that's probably why you haven't heard. >> No, before the phone died. >> Well, you talked to him on that guy's phone on the highway, right? >> No, that wasn't that was his brother-in-law. >> Oh, it was the brother-in-law, not the brother. >> Yes. >> Oh, okay. >> Okay. I [clears throat] I just know I want [snorts] me and my kids to be so safe. >> Well, your kids are safe right now. Okay. And then you're safe in here. Okay. >> I don't like it in here. [laughter] And I didn't do nothing wrong. I didn't do anything. [gasps and laughter] I didn't do anything to any of this. [laughter] I didn't do anything. >> I know. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Okay. [gasps] I just want to go to my babies and tell them it's okay. [laughter] I want my babies. >> Okay. Well, they're safe right now. Okay. But we can't bring them in here. >> I know. It scares me that they'll be separated. I don't want to get separated. >> They're not going to get separated. >> There's They're not going to get separated. Okay. I want my babies to be okay. They've been through so much already. >> I know, but they're they're safe right now. They're not going to get >> Please. >> Okay. [laughter] >> There's five things to do to family. >> Okay. >> And it's on my family. Please don't stop till you find who's doing all this cuz [laughter] I can't take this no more. It hurts in my heart. It hurts so much. [laughter] I don't like these [gasps] drugs. I don't like feeling like this. I don't like anything like this. [laughter] And so I stayed away from people for the longest time, but I just wanted to say hi to my best friend and I never fought. >> Cuz your Did you say Natasha's been living with you? >> No, she only stayed with me for a couple nights. >> Okay. And that was right before your birthday, right? >> It was for my birthday. >> Did her and her and her boyfriend spent were staying there? >> Uh-huh. >> Okay. Are they were they staying with you as of yesterday? >> No. Not Not since yesterday. Not since the day before when we But I found out since the day he choked her in the bathroom. >> Okay. And that was 2 days ago. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did you talk to Natasha about him choking her in the bathroom? >> Yeah. She wants to deny everything. >> Okay. Why is that do you think? >> Because she doesn't want to believe she is that type of person. She wants to lie. She rather lie to herself than believe the type of person Sherry is. >> Okay? >> Because she doesn't even cares for her own kids. >> She doesn't even get to claim for her own kids. >> She doesn't cares about anyone besides herself. She has always been like that. When she became an addict, it took over her body so much. [snorts] >> Okay. >> She did. >> But you said that you and Nicholas don't do drugs at all. >> No, we I I did in the past. >> Okay. >> But I stopped and turned my whole life. >> I was doing so so good. I've been doing good and that's why I knew the smell of it and know what I see. But this they keep saying that only meth was in my system. >> Who said that? >> Um the nurse cuz I asked her what kind of drug did they found in my system? >> Did they do a p test or Okay. >> But but I don't believe it's just me because how can you pass out like that? >> You usually don't fall asleep with me. Exactly. Something else had to be. >> Have you taken meth before? >> Meth was my choice of drug when I was out younger. >> Did it ever make you fall asleep like that? >> No. But I got told white uh white heroin does makes you pass out like that and it looks like meth, not meth. And also I got told that um why is it cold? Because I was asking a whole bunch of questions and researchers on things that will make you pass out and forget things. >> Okay. because ever since Nick came home from her and I guess this is where we know she was connected to the whole thing because Nick told her from the beginning who her dad his dad was. >> What was Nick's dad's name? Do you remember? >> What was his dad's name? Sparky Duncan. >> Sparky Duncan. Is that his real name or what his nickname? >> What's his real name? >> That's his real name. >> Oh, Sparky. >> Yeah, his real name. Okay. Any food? Haven't been eating food. I haven't ate. >> Okay. Well, let's we can get you some food back there. Okay. >> I just like to get hug from my husband, please. >> I don't think they're going to do that right now at the jail. Okay. They got to keep everyone separate and they got their protocols. Okay. >> At least talk to him. >> No, not right now, unfortunately. Okay. Cuz right now we're trying to figure out cuz like you said, you don't remember. So, we had to figure out what happened last night. Okay. and you've been really helpful and it helps piece things together, but it's still kind of like a puzzle. Okay. And we have to try to put that piece together and find out why someone right now is in Harborview. Okay. >> What about my parents? What about my family? >> I already said we we'll find and check on them. Okay. I'm pretty sure your your mom right has already we already planning on going and talking to her after this. Okay. So, we're we're going to talk to her. >> So, I don't want people to just talk to her on the phone with them. see her? >> No, they're they're going to go see her in person. Um, did you have your is your phone still in the Dango or did you have that with you when you got >> No, he had it in the Durango. >> It's in the Durango. Okay. How about Nick's phone? >> Yeah. He had it with him in the car. >> Okay. Do you remember where the Durango got left? >> I don't know where they took the Durango. I know where we got when we got out of it. When they took us out of it was at um a little bit. >> Where at? >> The road down from the college. >> The road down from the college. Okay. Okay. Well, Liz, um, is there anything else you think it's important for me to know about what happened last night? Anything that we haven't gone over? Anything I haven't we haven't talked about yet? >> I think um, the car steering wheel, it kept steering on its own, too. >> It was doing what? steering it on its own. >> It was steering on its own. >> That car was all like I don't know. >> Okay. >> Like I was like I know all this been a whole setup from the beginning. >> Okay. >> Something's strange is happening. >> Well, we're going to figure it out. Okay. >> Okay. So, what we do, >> please. Yeah. I'll be right back. Okay. >> Hey, Miss Lopez. So, right now, I'm going to come up and grab you and we're going to take you back to the jail. Okay. Um you're probably going to go in a front of a judge tomorrow for things. Have you ever been arrested before? >> Um I got arrested once. Okay. because me and Nick were fighting in our um and that's it. >> Okay. >> Besides that, I never else got to trust. >> So, you mentioned that you used to do um meth, >> but you've been it's something you've been doing pretty good lately. >> I clean for the longest time. >> How long have you been clean for? Um, last time I used was I lost my twin. That's why I got arrested. >> Okay. >> How long ago was that? >> That was >> uh 2017. >> 2017. Okay. >> And this might seem like a weird question, but when you how did you usually ingest that when you used to do it? >> I would do lines. >> Lines. Okay. Okay. And you haven't touched anything though in the last 24 hours? No. >> Well, then why why would there be meth in your urine? I guess. >> So, I'm saying meth you can put anything. >> Yeah. >> Drinks. >> Did you fall asleep a lot when you used to take meth? >> No. That's what I'm saying. >> That's why it's kind of weird, right? >> Reird. >> Yeah. >> And >> cuz usually meth keeps you up. Yeah, >> meth usually don't sleep. >> No. >> So, >> but that's why [clears throat] I don't get it. I don't get it. >> And if it's meth, this is some other type of meth that they're doing now. >> Okay. >> Because meth used to not do that. >> They're coming on down to get her. >> Okay. Thank you so much. >> Yeah. Is she already? >> Yeah. I just don't know your guys's procedures. >> Yeah. >> You got cuffs on her? >> No, she's there. They Sorry, >> you're good. No problem. >> Miss Liz, do you remember if you left anything in the car that would be important for us to know that there anything like your stuff? Think is there anything of yours that got left in the car when you arrested? >> I don't think I didn't have anything really cuz they took my purse when they >> arrested you. >> No, they took my purse when they got us out of my mother >> out of the Durango. >> And that had everything I needed. >> I'm pretty sure you had from what I can tell what what did your purse look like? brown. >> Okay. What did it have in it? >> I have my ID, but Nick says he has my my my green card. So, he says that's better than my ID. So, he has that. >> Okay. Um, >> I have my ID in it. I don't like my ID because to me my ID is important because I try every year I try to get my license. >> So there's no reason why you would have had your license in the car then? >> No. Okay. >> Okay. It just makes me sad that this is happening and it makes me scared. I don't know who's out to hurt us. >> Well, you're safe in here right now. Okay. >> And your kids are safe. Okay. >> Welcome to mommy. I don't even know how to get a lot of bruises. That's what I'm saying. [laughter] >> I don't know. I'm not pretending this is happening. >> I think you're pretending. >> [laughter and gasps] >> No, but when I went to jail yesterday and talked to the girl that I talked to in there, she kept laughing because she thought that I was crazy and she thought I was imagining that crazy. [laughter] >> [laughter and gasps] [clears throat] >> I just want to be okay. I don't want to keep living a nightmare. >> You want to keep what? >> I don't want to keep living a nightmare. I want this nightmare to end. Good morning. It's It's over. The nightmare is over now. Okay. Everyone's safe. You're safe. Okay. Nicholas safe. Your kids are safe. You're safe. Okay. Now, it's just trying to put the puzzle back together. Find out what happened. Okay. [sighs and snorts] just don't understand why people would do this to other people and set them up like this in life just because the one thing everyone wants is that before this even happens dad told me and Nate that people do these kind of stuff and I didn't believe him. I didn't believe this thing how that means about stuff like this. I thought he was just kidding and it happened to him when he was >> when he was younger. >> When you said you stopped at the stop sign and all those the four cars came up and all the people in Ski Mask jumped out. >> Mhm. Did they say anything to you >> that we know already? >> What? Tell me about their voices. >> It's dark. >> Dark voices. >> What does that mean? >> Like I don't know. Some are dark, some are light. It's >> You mean their voices or >> Yeah, their voices. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Did they speak pretty good English? Did they >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> No accent. >> No accents. Okay. >> Straight English. >> What does the cards look like? >> Sir, how's it going? >> Like several different I mean sorry my head is everywhere. Um they some of them were tall, some of them were short. Um what was the question? >> What did the cars look like? The cars trucks were >> most of them were trucks. Yeah. Okay. >> Most of them were trucks. Maybe a few. >> A lot of black trucks. A lot of red and blue. >> How many trucks were there? >> Several trucks. >> Like three. Like 10. >> Yeah. About 10. >> 10. Always. >> Always. They were just >> It's either 10 up to four is the lowest trucks that they will have follow us. >> Okay. >> Or speed up. >> Okay. >> Up on us and try to run us off the road. >> They tried to run you off the road. We didn't mention that. >> Times. Yeah. Like so much. Just so much. I can't My kids My kids got [laughter] hurt. >> They got hurt. >> Rosario Lopez Castro was charged in Clum County, Washington in 2025 with attempted seconddegree murder, first-degree robbery, and theft of a motor vehicle, plus a deadly weapon enhancement and a good Samaritan aggravator.
