I got you. But you shouldn't be driving, sir. Yes, ma'am. All right, two more tests if you don't mind. Yeah, of course. You good to walk in those shoes? Yeah. Okay. All right. If you wouldn't mind getting back in the starting position, please. Yeah, of course. Thank you. Um, you're going to take a series of nine heel totoe steps along a straight imaginary line in front of you, counting each step out loud. It's going to look like one, two, three, all the way to your ninth step. When you reach your ninth step, you're going to take a series of small steps around that lead foot. And you're going to come back on that same straight imaginary line with nine heel totoe steps, counting each step out loud. One, two, three. Along your way. All right. [Music] You have a seat right there in that chair. Thank you. You got her for a second. Run to my car. Yeah. All right. Appreciate you. 254 central. I'm out of downtown substation. I'll get your mileage in a second. Hello, Miss Ferguson. Is it? Yes, sir. I'm Sergeant Dval. Yes, sir. Okay. So, I'm just setting up this machine right here. So, this is the Intox machine. Uh, once it's set up with all the information I need and everything such as case number, your information, stuff like that, it's going to go through a series of processes and everything. And we're going to have two test, two blows, essentially just like blowing up a balloon. There's a little tip here, plastic. I'll show you how to you blow into it. I need at least about a liter of air. Uh, there's a little bar there on the screen that lets me know if you gave me enough. And also don't suck, blow around, do anything like that cuz it shows. That's fine. All needs a liter. I can tell you right now on my bad day, I do close to five. Sometimes I can catch my breath with the medicine. That's okay. So, uh, also right here, here's a little mini copy of my certification from the state of Georgia GBI to run this machine. Okay. I was required to show you so you can see it. [Applause] [Music] view [Applause] number. There we go. Your date of birth is 115 of 03, correct? And you identify as female? Yes, sir. Okay. Probably off the radio. 10 four. I'll be off radio. Just make sure we don't have any electronic devices in here. Okay. All right. If you don't mind coming over here, you can sit right there for me. As you see, this is a fresh impact. Yes, sir. Little mouthpiece. [Applause] All right. So, it takes a few minutes uh between the tests. We'll have one that's going to be coming up here in a second. So, when you're ready, you'll just put your lips around this little nub right here and blow into that. Like I said, right here on the screen, I'll have everything saying flow rate and etc., etc. We'll do the first test. It goes through its processes, checks itself, double checks itself, make sure everything's going good. Then we'll do one more and then we'll print out the results and I'll give you a copy of your results for yourself. All right. So, you don't mind? Take a deep deep breath for me. Blow in there for me. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Oh, you stopped just short. Keep going. Keep going. There we go. That's all I need. Thank you. See, that wasn't too bad. That's got anxiety like no other. Oh, I mean, you're in handcuffs town or anything. It's one of those things that happens. Seem like it's not want to take that out. Let's try to do that one more time. Deep breath for me. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. There we go. There we go. Do you have any questions or anything like that? Yes, sir. We're going through this. Okay. So, like I said, once it goes through here, it's clearing itself out. It's going to test itself. Once it does that, we'll get back on this little bee here. As you see, it goes along, do our second test, and then we'll get copies of everything. I'll explain all the results to you. Okay. [Music] [Music] State H. State. What all are charges? Dismissal. This Yeah. Only goes up to state if uh they've been previous DUI or it's fasttrack, something like that. And they'll notify you then. Just hurry up and wait. Usual government. Is that your ankle popping? It is. Ooh. It sounds bad, but it really isn't. That's That's bad. It really isn't. I was a cheerleader all my life. It really isn't. Oh, so that's why. Okay, that makes Were you a flyer? I was. I was I had a few friends that were cheerleaders. Really? Yeah. Where at? Uh here at UG actually and of course back in high school and then back in Georgia Southern. Okay. So So I bartended at Moonshine if you know where that's at. That's where every Clayton, right? Yes. Have not I don't hang out in downtown anymore. Our owner of the bar actually just opened a bar up at Statesboro. What's your barer's name? JRod. Oh, killer. I know JRod. So, he's JRod's been around. He's as old as I am. Yeah, he's awesome. He just opened a bar up in Statesboro. It's called Fifth Quarter. All right. Deep breath for me. Blow out. Nope. Yeah. And blow into the Z. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. There you go. Keep blowing again. Nope. Nope. He accepted that one. All right. Yep. Uh I saw him just the other day walking out about I haven't talked to him in gosh know how long. I got He's awesome. He's friends. So he's actually he's buying a place in Statesboro. So he'll be moving there and he'll come up here every once in a while cuz he owns part of the bar here. Mhm. 85 and Moonshine. But isn't there a fifth quarter in part of up or there's a fifth quarter up here as well? Is there fifth quarter just in Statesboro? Just Statesboro. But we are opening up a new bar here. But okay. Nobody's supposed to know about it, but we are. Yeah. I wonder why he's uh moving down to Statesboro. There's not much down there. Well, so he's one of the like co-owners of of the Statesboro bar. So like he's one of the main owners. He'll need to be on site. So that's supposed to be like his bar. Mhm. So he's been taking control of everything and like proud of him, but I will miss him a lot. I love him. But it'll be sad. Yeah. He'll still come up here. I wonder where it is cuz I know the school down there started buying up all the property where there was bars. Yes, sir. Uh because back in my day, it used to be uh pretty crazy down there. Where'd you go to college? George Southern. Okay. or anything. Graduating 0808. I'm old. Yep. I am old. You're not old. No. Yeah. Trust me, you are not old. Trust me. You were born the same year I graduated high school. So, okay. You are not old. My mom My mother had me at 19. You are not old. Oh, well, you are not old. That that definitely doesn't make you feel old when you say I'm your mom's age. You are not old. I promise you. All right. So, you'll get a copy of one of these. Yes, sir. Everything is freezing in here. Oh, well, it's cuz we wear all this armor. I know that and everything. So, we keep it nice and cold because we would sweat to death if otherwise. Well, all right. Yeah, if you're I'll tell you right now, my left knee's got enough scar tissue. When they first came out with those little machines, you want to see my right knee cuz Yeah. At the airport, they used to always set off the machine there. Really? Yep. Okay. I've had surgery on my right knee before. Okay. I mean, where is this little book? So, do you have a sister that cheers? No, I had cousins. I had several cousins that cheered. They should have been volleyball players. They're as tall as I am. Okay. Everything. Uh, couple girlfriends, exes, etc., etc. Buddies. I had a buddy. Except me. I have an ex that went to Statesboro. I thank God that I got away from that. Thank God. He was like a high school lover that I thought I was going to marry and I am definitely not. There you go. Puppy love. It was puppy love, but it's something else. He got a he got a buzz cut and everything and it is not cute. Oh, all right. So, we took two samples. State takes the lowest of the two. Your first sample was 173. Okay. I don't know anything about this, so you're going to have to explain it to me. Okay. So the limit for someone's 21 on up is 08. Okay. All right. And your second sample was.161. Okay. The one I'm circling up here. So you are double the limit. Okay. Right there. Okay. Okay. So [Applause] this will be your copy. I'll hand it over to Officer Davis here. He'll get a copy. from himself that's going to be attached to the report as well and so you'll be see all that. All right. Do you have any further questions besides that? I do not. Okay. And you had surgery on your right knee but not both ankles pop like that. They do. Oh. Oh, they do. Oh, now see when you get older you're going to be telling the weather going well up. That's I think it's going to be my back that tells older. Oh yeah. He took some tumbles if you're a flyer. So here's her copy Zach right there. So I'll just you say 016 or 161 point. So B R A C. I've already written for 21 doesn't matter. Well yeah you just per say what it is now it's easy enough. So there you go. So he's going to take you from here, Miss Ferguson. Yes, sir. Okay. He's already explained to you the charges. I'm a little bit. Okay. Well, he'll do that in a second. You ready to go? All right. Ferguson, if you don't mind standing up. It's been pleasant to meet you. You've been nice. Yes, sir. And come on this way. Appreciate you. No problem. And have a better night, Miss Bergson. Go back around here to my vehicle. [Music] Which one's yours? I'm sorry. Which what? Aren't we getting back in the car? We are. Yes, ma'am. The one all the way down on the left. Last one. I'm just going to hold you while you step over these curves. We're going to go around the other side. There's more room. Yeah, I'm going to reach across you and seat belt you in. I'm trying to lean back. I promise. You're fine. I try not to lean too far in. [Applause] So, I have a question. Yes, ma'am. Hypothetically, if one of my friends got a felony about Did he come here? No. So, um, give me two seconds to type this in. So, the only reason we came here is because that machine that you just blew into, um, the only one we have in the county that belongs to us is there. Um, So, we had to come here to get that test done. Um, where we're going next, we're actually in route to the, uh, county jail. Um, that's where everyone goes. Um, from that point forward, I don't have all the answers for how the process will work for you. The jail and the court system is handled through the sheriff's office. Yes, sir. Um, what are you doing, person? Um, your charges at this point are um driving under the influence of alcohol. Um, I did it for your age, which the, uh, legal limit for your age being under the age of 21 is 0.02 g per or it's not grams, but 0.02 02 BAC. Um, and I'm sure he explained to you that you were.16, which is actually eight times the legal limit that you're allotted. Um, and you're also being cited for failure to maintain lane. All of that stuff from this point forward will be handled in the courtroom. Um, you will go in, I'll explain the the process at the jail when we get there. Um, how long you have to sit there is handled through the sheriff's office. Like I said, that's their job and it's not something I ever deal with. 254 central wrap 600. Starting mileage 38973. [Music] Dispatch has been updated. Dispatch has been updated. [Music] You're on. You're on speaker. Hey. Um, I don't know if you want this or not, but there was a fake ID in her bag. No, that's not worried about it. Okay. Yeah. All righty, Dan. All right. I appreciate you. And then there there was also in the back seat um it was just the rapper, but it was for Crown Royal. Okay. I'm not but it was not like an actual bottle. Gotcha. All right. Well, I appreciate it. Do you need a supplement or anything? No. All right. All right. I appreciate you. Yep. Bye. Bye. We're going to wait here. Depending on how busy they are. Um, depending on how busy they are. They have to have a female deputy come to search you. Um, they'll open this door. At that point, you'll just start listening to them. They'll have you step over here to this wall. Um, they will search you again. they will take the cuffs off and tell you how to put your hands on the wall and things like that. Um, and then from there, you'll just listen to them. Um, like I said, I'm not fully sure on the process for which, uh, she was transported to a substation where Sergeant Debball administered the breathalyzer test. During the administration of the breathalyzer, she told Sergeant Debo that she has worked as a bartender at Moonshine Bar and Grill. Her breath test results indicated ABA BAC of 0.161% which was more than double the legal limit of 0.08% for drivers over 21 from here how it goes with you bonding seeing a judge and things along those lines. Um but they will make sure that all of that is I don't either. So, Yes, ma'am. [Applause] Are you focusing? Yes, ma'am. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Appreciate you. [Applause] Everything good with her paperwork? Thank you, Miss Ferguson. Have a better evening. Officer Davis then transported Rachel to the Clark County Jail for further processing.
