Insurance all right okay how are you doing good oh you know what I think I have the updated version around to 09 a.m. on March 16th 2024 patrolman Anthony dangelo with the Handover Township Police Department was initially headed over to serve as backup for patrolman Morris row on another potential drunken driving case as he was driving westbound on Route 10 and approaching the intersection of whipy Road he observed a 2019 ha the Civic crossing the double yellow line and driving on the wrong side of the road he followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on whipy Road near the intersection with Fairchild place he made contact with the driver of the Honda who was identified as 24-year-old aleandra okay we you coming from tonight moristown moristown mhm what you doing in moristown dinner dinner mhm okay and then I have my okay you're the register of the car mhm all right what's the reason I'm getting stuff all right so the reason for the stop today is when you were coming down Route 10 kind of drove into the opposite lane coming on whiy road came turned all the way out wide did I yep that's the reason for the stop okay is there a reason why you did that going a little too fast or honestly I we just got Wendy's and everything just spills all over my all like literally all over if you can see I'm kind of upset but as you can see all my food just spilled over Alejandra was searching for her documents he noticed that her movements were slow Alejandra told him that she was head at home after getting dinner in moristown she told him that she had been at the homestead a popular bar in moristown while she initially denied consuming any alcohol she would later admit to consuming alcohol earlier that evening based on his suspicion of impairment Alejandra was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exer sizes right while you're working on that I'm just going to run your information I'll be right back okay sure all right how's that coming along dangelo started with the walk and turn test during the walk and turn test Alejandra did not touch Heel To Toe on each step turned improperly and failed to keep her arms at her sides the second exercise was the one like stand test during the one leg standand test Alandra failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion did not C out in the correct sequence and put her foot down before the test was complete the final exercise was the horizontal gaze nagus hgn test and it was administered by patroman Lao with the East Hover Police Department anything that would prevent you from doing any tests tonight no nothing so no injuries nothing to your knees legs or anything like that anything I should be aware of no nothing you're say you're healthy yeah okay all right so so I'm going to give you a set of instructions okay I'm going to put you we're going to do the first test it's going to be the walk and turn all right okay I'm going to get you in the starting position um you're okay with your bag you can take your bag off if you want I'm okay you're okay okay all right so we're going to do the walking turn all right you so I'm going to put you in the starting position with your arms down at your side okay with your left foot like this with your right foot in front you're going to put your arms down your side okay forward yep forward okay we're going to use this as an imaginary line okay so just like this imaginary line right in front of you hold on just walk forward nope hold on okay let me explain the test all right so that's going to be the starting position all right you're going to stay in that position until I tell you to begin okay do you understand all right you may get into the starting position with your Left Foot Right Foot In Front arms down at your side so in this position I'll tell you to begin the test when I'm ready okay so you're going to take nine heal the toe steps counting out loud one 2 3 I did three you're going to do nine on your ninth step you're going to take a small series of choppy steps turning around and you're going to go back down on your line counting nine heel the toe steps out loud one 2 three I did three you're going to do nine do you want me to give you a set of instructions again do you understand understand okay whenever you're ready you may begin the test okay okay with your arms down at your side okay hold on what foot okay and do not begin the test until I tell you to begin okay so in this position you're going to count out loud one two three I three you're going to do nine and then at your ninth step you're alcohol her admission to consuming alcohol and her inability to satisfactorily complete the field sobriety exercises Alejandra was placed under arrest for driving Under the Influence after she was placed under arrest and placed in the patrol car her vehicle was impounded by hio Towing for a 12-hour hold according to Jon's law patrolman dangelo initially transported Alejandra to the Pugi Police Department for the administration of the breath test can you turn around for me pleas hands B your back for me are you placing me under rest yeah turn around y for what drinking and driving tonight Alejandra she was transported to the hover Township Police Department for further processing after she was photographed and her summonses were issued she was released to a sober adult pending her court appearance he signed the potential shery warning on alandra's behalf patrolman d issued aleandra the following citations operating Under the Influence reckless driving careless driving and traffic on Mark lanes for for testing possibly but I have to go for the the standard statement form I Didn't Do It roadside so yeah that's it so I'm just getting everything how's your night been going
