I just want to let you know I have my body camera on. All right. >> Okay. >> Do you have your license, registration, proof, insurance? >> Yes. >> The reason why I stopped you is because I saw you all the way over that stop line at uh the intersection on Mammoth Road and 36. And then as I was going down 36, I saw you swerve out of your lane twice. >> Okay. >> Where you coming from tonight? >> I'm coming from um Jacks. >> Jacks in Long Branch. >> In Long Branch. >> All right. How much have you had to drink tonight? I've had probably two drinks. >> Okay. >> Yeah, >> I got you. All right. Can I get your license registration? >> Around 12:50 a.m. on April 23rd, 2025, patrolman Michael Spark with the West Long Branch Police Department observed a black 2016 Jeep Patriot stopped well past the stop line at SR36 and Monmouth Road. He turned around and began following the vehicle as the driver traveled west on SR36. As he followed the vehicle, he observed the driver swerving across lanes and activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. >> Insurance. >> Yeah. >> 13 32 to 117. Swing my way. >> I'm temp four. >> Just two drinks tonight. >> Yeah. >> All right. I honestly I don't drink a lot. >> No. >> No. >> No. >> I got you. >> What's your name? >> My name's Amber. >> All right, Amber. >> Yeah. >> Would you mind just taking all that out for me, Amber? >> Okay. >> Just take it all out of there. [Applause] So, Amber, because you told me you had a couple drinks, I can smell it coming off of you. All right. I'm going to pull you out of the vehicle >> just to do some field sobriety tests. Okay. Just so uh just so I know you I know you're okay to drive the car. Uh can I get your license, too? >> Yeah. Grab the license and then we'll we'll do some tests. All right. No warrants, weapons, points on your license, anything like that. Amber, >> do they have weapons? >> You never know. You never know. Got to ask, you know. He made contact with the driver of the Jeep Patriot, who was identified as Amber Pop. As he was speaking with Amber, he detected the odor of alcohol and observed other indicators of impairment. Amber told him that she was headed home after leaving Jacks in Long Branch, New Jersey. She admitted to consuming to drinks earlier that evening based on his suspicion of impairment. Amber was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exercises. >> I don't have weapons. >> Oh, that's good to know. >> Yeah, that's definitely good. [Applause] All righty. All right. So, while I The first exercise was the walk and turn test. During the walk and turn test, Amber failed to touch heel to toe on each step, turned improperly, and failed to keep her arms at her sides end. The final exercise was the one leg stand test. During the one leg stand test, Amber failed to raise her foot in the prior fashion, did not count in the correct sequence, and put her foot down before the test was complete. While I give you the instructions for these tests, what I want you to do is put your left foot in front of your right foot like I'm doing right now, touching heel to toe. And I want you to keep your hands at your sides. Okay? Now, when I tell you to stay in that position, all right? Stay in that position. When I tell you to, you're going to take nine steps heel to toe. I'm going to do three steps just to demonstrate. Okay? So, I'm starting here. One, two, three. As I say these couple steps, I'm going to count out loud. I'm going to keep my hands at my sides. Okay? Once I hit to nine. All right. So, I hit my ninth step. I'm going to take small choppy steps and I'm going to do nine steps back the other way. Okay. >> Okay. So, >> so hit nine and then turn around. >> Hit nine and then turn around. Make sure you count out loud. Keep your arms at your side the entire time. Do you have any questions? Do you understand? >> Correct. >> Do you understand? >> I understand >> completely. No questions. And now nine steps back. >> Okay. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 That it. >> That was great. >> All righty. All right. Now, what I want you to do, we're going to do another test. While I'm doing this test, I want you to stand at the ready position. Feet together, arms at your sides. All right. I'm going to demonstrate the test and describe it to you, and then you're going to do it. Don't start until I tell you to. What you're going to do is stand at the ready position. When I tell you to start, you're going to lift one foot out, whatever foot you want. Okay? You're going to lift it 6 in off the ground, keeping your foot parallel. You're going to count out loud like I'm doing. Okay? 1 2 3. You're going to keep counting until I tell you to stop. Okay? Whichever leg, your choice, and you're going to count out loud. Okay? >> Okay. >> You may begin the test. Any questions? No questions. All righty. >> How many count? >> Keep counting until I tell you to stop. So, as long as you're confident that she's intoxicated, you want to bring her in. >> How about uh H? I can't do H. >> I don't have H. >> Strobble might, but I don't have it. >> All right. I'm going to >> I can't do it either. I'm going to put her through the uh walk and turn just so you see it one more time, but she's >> I mean, I don't need to see it. Whatever you think as long as you're confident in it and smell it. >> I It's strong. I mean, if you want to confirm. I haven't even ran all her information or anything like that yet. Well, I do that. You want to talk to >> Did you ask her about anything about >> Yeah, she's coming from Jax in Long Brash. She's had a couple. >> All right. Do you have all her information?
