all right we're getting a person shot at
334 I did nothing this is my house oh
it's so hot another my face hurts what
all right list why am I getting on July
20th 2024 officers with a Charlotte
County Sheriff's Office responded to a
call in reference to people fighting at
a marina upon arrival officers made
contact with two individuals a
29-year-old named Laura and her
boyfriend Shane though they were acting
like the victims the officers quickly
began to realize that their stories were
not making sense officer you tell
me
hang are are they still fighting over
here um as far as I know no sir who lady
she has a large mouth I apologize we
just came from her job okay she just got
off excuse me do you mind holding this
so I can breathe I know you guys got
cameras on is anybody still physical no
no physical that's my old lady um we
just came home from her job she just got
off had a couple drinks we come home
there's a lot of people parked here
these people don't live here okay hang
on I'm talking to him I'll talk to you
in just a second she goes down to find
out who they are and I guess I don't
know I wasn't down there that's my fault
can you give it to me and then I guess
let's talk to one person at a time I was
down there I guess they got can you
agressive her or
not hang tight I went in the boat to
get hold on she's a little more
intoxicated than me but we're over with
intoxicated
and then I bring the dog out and then I
hear yelling screaming and then I I hear
what would be a hit try to arrest me so
I fli the out I'm walking the dog
halfway behind the excuse
me not Continental I run my dog back in
and I run down there expecting a fight
but it's three older ladies and then two
gentlemen yeah I'm about to get arrested
because some people seems split up and
then I start yelling you guys are not
welcome here and I talked to the last
man grab her and talk to her real quick
I I haven't heard her story but she's
you're going to have to give her a Mane
she's I get it you guys all worked
out yeah it's hard hard to talk to two
people at a time so that's what I'm
trying
to so um we have a problem with our last
neighbor which he is not overway there's
the other half is on over by that boat
over there behind the van excuse me we
are the first boat they're the last boat
now that gentleman in the last boat I
don't think is uh associated with them
cuz he lives here it's a customer that
lives out on the water and he Parks here
and they're they're they're his
guests right now sir it would be the
boat down where that gentleman is with
the tan shorts and the woman in the
black and red that's the gentleman right
there who lives in the last boat as far
as I know they are not his guests all
right all right
so let's all right so yes sir
woo okay so she gets off work you come
out here with the dog oh yes sir we come
home okay she wants to find out who the
[ __ ] is parking on our private property
okay which is not a problem right cuz we
have a lot of guests what's the private
property obviously yes sir you can see
the signs um she goes down there I go to
get the dog and then I come out and I
hear sounds of hitting okay so I I look
yes and I put my dog back in and I run
down there by the time I get down there
everything's broken up but there's three
women on my old lady and two men that
gentleman right there with that beard
and the blue shorts while he's talking
super [ __ ] to me that gentleman in the
gray shirt so I go down there to split
[ __ ] up while they're fcking up my old
lady three other wives that gentleman in
the gray shirt excuse me well I'm on
theing ground like this he's over me and
the gentleman and the big beard is
behind him so that gentleman was trying
to protect me but not he's trying to
[ __ ] swing on
me that's my story everything gets
broken up I walk the away I get to my
boat and I make a phone call okay to the
police you live on this boat yes sir
okay so that's your that's your
residence well that is not my full
residence this is my part-time residence
my full residence is that sailboat out
there sir you know why these people are
fighting in your old l no sir okay uh do
you have a driver's license on you
anything license I understand
not n and I do not have a driver's
license I only have an ID I can give you

she's so she's so drunk I don't
think I I'm going to talk
to actually passively everybody in One
Way or Another off widespread scene a
little psychotic G that decided she was
going to blow up as we were disembarking
the boat and started yelling and started
physically
assaulting it just escalated from there
I had to pull her off of him it was it
was the craziest thing I've ever seen
got a long history here of being drunk
and I mean I didn't anybody so I didn't
like whack the guy or anything like that
but the dude was being very aggressive I
pulled him off my
son-in-law where's your sonin-law call
him after I'm done with the officers
right there future son-in-law they're
getting married in a few weeks but um
but yeah she physically attacked him and
he just defended himself who was the
first person that he attacked she
actually me let me I think she took your
phone first
okay I'm going to take one story at a
time I'm going to have you go stand over
there can you handle her family please

press charges on the two people that put
their hands I understand that and listen
we're talking to them and they're
telling us their story but you won't

problem okay because they're lying and
that's why we're trying to get both

baby all right soon as traffic stops yes
sir we going to walk across the
intersection here y um good uh can I
talk to you when we get to the other
side of the street sir well I got a lot
going on man we we're not done talking
okay very good yes I understand that um
my my my my only issue is uh we have a
dog in the boat I just don't want to
toest everywhere all right I know I
can't walk but is there any chance um
maybe somehow I can make a phone call
maybe uh at some point yeah where's your
you got anything out in your pockets no
sir you want me to get back out we
already search me on know you did that's
want make sure I didn't miss anything I
have nothing no idea all right cool hang
TI for me yes sir that's already we got
let it going so so now what happens
she's going to jail for probably Grand
Theft for grand theft she did phone and
did she temporarily deprive somebody of
their property taking the phone out of
their hand that's technically could be
robbery by sudden snatching then you
throw it in the phone in the water
that's criminal mischief she battered
the woman she's drunken disorderly on on
private property yes but the cops have
to get involved so yes so now what
happens you can Bond her out of jail
this all could have been avoided had she
had not went over there acting like she
owns the slip telling them they can't
park over there they are allowed to park
over there because their father rinsed
that
slip listen I have nothing to do with
this I got a butt dial and I heard chos
so I jumped my car you Wen here to see
everything you're listening to your
daughter who's
intoxicated that's the problem she after
to work her and him had a few drinks
they had way too many drinks a few more
but if that girl hurt her but ra because
ma'am where's her boat slip at where's
your daughter's boat slip at okay why
was she over there
she said she went over there the girl
was friendly at first it's yelling at
them for parking their boat
here it's you weren't here you we we
weren't here we don't know what happened
we don't know what happened exactly let
him let them decide when the police take
her up there and tell her to stay and
she's getting she's getting arrested and
she runs away and walks away from us
that's what that's what started yes but
she's told to stop ever they may I ask
you something sure did you arrest the
other people um I'm not too sure what
they're
doing thank you for being real with me
yeah no
problem the supervisor that she
requested is ultimately the one who put
an end to it in the end Laura was
charged with three counts of battery
resisting without violence petty theft
and disorderly intoxication she pled no
contest and was found guilty on all six
charges she received a year of probation
for each of the battery charges as well
as a theft charge and an additional 6
months for the disorderly intoxication
charge totaling 5 and 1/2 years using
the name provided by the boyfriend I was
