Sheriff's Office I apologize for the

um so what where can where can I start
for you what what do you got what kind
of questions I know

so when I approached the vehicle
um I went up the driver's side of it and
I walked up to the driver window where
obviously he was sitting and I knocked
on the window because he originally
wouldn't open the window
and I had to knock multiple times and he
was sitting on the phone talking to
someone and once I got him to finally
roll the window down you know I told him
hey I'm you know stopping you for your
speed you know I need a driver's license
registration insurance and at that point
he multiple times stuck his hand out and
his finger and told me to hold on and he
was going to continue talking to someone
on the phone and I told him and gave him
multiple commands at that point you know
to hang up the phone and speak to me and
give me his uh information and he could
continued to just refuse to even even
acknowledge me at that point he uh he
kept talking on the phone and I said and
I told him I said look man like I need
your stuff and then at that point I
opened the door and I told him hey I'm
going to give you one more chance before
you know we go further I need your
license registration insurance or at
least your name and then he goes I don't
have my license reached his hand over to
the gear shift after and at that point I
told at that point you know the vehicle
was still on and he reached for the gear
shifter I went and grabbed him and said
all right that that's it you're not
you're not doing this and then that's
when I went to just take him into
custody and he started to fight us
obviously and all that
um I greatly apologize
no and and the thing is and and I and
and I even told him and I even told his
uh girlfriend I guess I don't know who
what they are the only and then another
problem that came in that because when I
opened the door and I was talking to him
as soon as that door opened the odor of
like alcohol and all that was coming
from the vehicle and I could see his
eyes were just bloodshot
and because I had my flashlight in hand
and I said I'm giving you one more
chance and as he's talking like I can
just continuously smell it and when we
got him out of the car got him secured
and we're actually talking to him closer
face to face I mean it just it smelled
even heavier and he what he didn't want
to obviously he didn't want to answer
questions all that stuff which you know
obviously he it's his right
um and we even asked him if he wanted to
do a breath test or anything and he did
not want to
um so unfortunately based off of that
stuff I mean he's 18 and I mean he reeks
like alcohol and he's driving with a a
miner in the car you know but she's
still she's still 17.
um I will say this at this point the the
female's mom doesn't want to do anything
at this time with him driving
intoxicated because he could look at
another charge of uh contributing to the
delinquency of a minor because she's
because she still is 17.
um but at this point you know she
doesn't want to do that
um and I think again a little bit of it
too I mean the girl like she the girl
had some weed on her and all that
um but I mean nobody nobody was charged
or anything like that the only thing he
got charged with was

no so he did get so I it wasn't from us
um because the other person I had there
was a Florida Highway Patrol a trooper
and he um he was assisting me on the
traffic stop and they took over the they
did a DUI uh investigation and they did
charge him with it again he did refute
he did refuse to blow and all that
um so again his license most likely
would probably just be suspended
um and he may have to do like a course
or two but that's that might be it
um but the only thing he got from me was
just the resisting uh resisting an
officer without violence which is a
misdemeanor if he would have done
anything more it would have been a
felony but it's only I only it's only a
misdemeanor at this point for him
