On September 21st, 2024, officers responded to Madhatter Bar and Restaurant on reports of a fight involving a patron trying to get back into the bar to find his keys, which security would not permit, at which point he became agitated and tried to force his way past them. He became hostile, tried to engage security in a fight, and at one point reaching into his pocket to pull out a knife. Here is what occurred. Where? >> Where? >> Stay there. >> Right here. So his boy come outside, talk to him and he started being pushing his friends over there and he tried to come back inside. So he grabbed the door and I said, "Sure, please, it's not going to happen." So he grabbing the door. So he put in a little box and then I grabbing him and I put him right there. We grab it and he tried to push his knives out. Okay. >> The knife out. >> He actually grabbed the knife. >> He grabbed a knife from his pocket. So we grabbing him from your hands and uh >> So I didn't take it out, >> but I didn't take it out. >> Why you going through my pocket? >> It's I didn't give you a consult to search me if I didn't do under arrest. >> Under arrest for what? I don't know how many times I have to explain this [ __ ] >> Ready? >> Security was able to take the knife away from him, but during the struggle, he bit one of them, causing minor injuries. When officers arrived, he was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to have weapons.
