On October 20th, 2024, officers responded to CVS on reports of a shoplifting. When they arrived, officers saw a man who fit the description of the actor outside the store. Here are the events that occurred. Take my bag. If I wanted to go and I put in the bag 27 to I ain't take nothing. I never walked out the store with nothing. What's going on around? He grabbed two hats when he walked in. These are the two hats. Then he went around the corner right here by the self checkout guy and then he tried to take some um playing cards. Right now the playing cards are on the table. Then he went by the candles right over here. Now the candles are over here. I'll show you. Yeah. I'm not stupid right here trying to put in the day. That's the day I ever should not right there. But yeah, the cart right there trying to take right off the table. You got them taking them off. I said, "What the hell are you doing?" Thoughts up top right now. Yeah. I just want to put him back. And then then he came over here. He's I don't I'm taking whatever the hell I want. So he walked around, dropped those inside the bag. Uh, and you kind like kind of just grabbed it from him. I just ripped this [ __ ] right out of his hand. Gotcha. Yep. All right. Just give me one second. I'm going to walk back in. You stay right here. Right. Yep. Gotcha. All right. To talk to you all about it, man. What's uh so he walked inside the store, he put things in a bag and then uh he had hats dropped before he left. He was walking towards the register and the guy on his way to the register. Yeah. He said I said I said, "What you doing?" He said, "Give me another." I said, "I'm going to the register." Have you Have you been caught shopping there before? Never. Never. Never. Do you have uh means to pay? Yeah, I got a credit. I'm saying but my purpose to him my thing to him is why why do we have to just see you missing my point though I'm saying I'm not trying to be an ass candles hats and I'm not trying to be an [ __ ] but you missing my point man like a person officer you missing my point he he he discriminated against me I'm walking to the reg I'm seeing him right there I said how you doing said how you I know he's a worker there if I was going to steal something why in the hell would I put it he right here he's looking at me I'm looking I'm put I'm going to then he just snatches bag. I said, "Why would you do that?" Like, take it down. I can see if I was walking out the store. That [ __ ] is crazy, man. What was it that you were making the purchase of today? Uh, it was going to be two candles and a thing. And what? Uh, two candles and a hat. A hoboka red wing hat. Where is that stuff? I had in the bag and I'm walking to another guy. I was like, "Where's the candy at?" He said, "Over there." So, I'm walk. He was like, "Give me the bag." I said, "Whoa, I'm not walking out this. I'm walking in this." I'm sorry. Also, I apologize for that. I'm walking in the store. I'm not like trying to leave the store. So, I'm like, "Damn, why would you do that?" "Get out the store. Get out the store." Like, "Why? What?" I said, "What did I do?" You got It's not like I was coming out the store. I said, "Where's the candy?" He said, "Right there." I was like, "Thank you." And then as soon as I go to walk past him, he snatches the bag. Give me the [ __ ] bag. That was crazy, bro. Like, I'm 57 years old, man. I'm I was in I'm a V I'm about to go to the VA, man. I wasn't trying to come over here and do no stealing [ __ ] I ain't never get caught shoplifting in Hoboki, man. Look, let me just gather up your stuff. He did this. He grabbed my bag. I I ain't got I'll give you back. Just gather up your phone. Y'all making it seem like I'm wrong, man. That's crazy, bro. Yes, they are here. No, he they they was in my bag. He he snatched them. I was like, why why would you snatch my bag, bro? So you walked in there with the candles or And then I'm walking I'm walking in he I had the two hats in my hand. I didn't put them in. No, the candle was I took you put the stuff back if if Huh? Cuz he said when he confronted you then he dropped the hats and then he dropped the playing cards. Yeah. Did he just No. Then I said I went I said, "Damn, bro. I'm just getting No. Then that's when I got the candles. I said I took a bag. I put it in my bag cuz I have Did you have the means to pay? My wife was going to pay on the car. Where's the court? She left cuz she don't want to get involved with no cops, man. He And he cuz she said I Your wife was in there with you. Yeah, she was right here. I I could have left. I could have left all the time it took y'all to come. I stood here myself. Officer, it's not him and I saw a female going up. Also, it's not like I stood here by myself, man. This is crazy, man. Okay. So, I just opened up the president of Jersey City 144. I had all I'm being arrested or something. No, not at this time. Do you have any outstanding? No. I think I No, I went to court. I had one in one uh call staff. My probation my probation officer told me to just call. Yes. Did you? Yeah, I called them. But they said they said they a have no record of assembly or something. When was that? How long ago? Thursday. They ain't have no record of something like for a 203 charge or something. That's why I said they broke by him for I ain't trying to hide them from you, man. It's not like they was on my person, man. I wasn't here. I didn't see what happened. This is crazy, man. She'll pay for it. I got the money to pay for it. But when he started all that commotion, that's when we came outside. She said, "I'm not staying here for this nonsense. There's no way y'all look at the camera, man." Yeah. Can you please do that? The c the camera. It's like, you have nothing on us? No, I got a sweat a shirt on. Shirt? Yeah, that's it. This is crazy, man. I'm going in the store, not out the store, man. I ain't try to conceal it. And I'm getting arrested. Unbelievable, man. [ __ ] crazy. [Music] I hate you, man. Crazy, man. And he rips the bag in the candy drawer. He saw me put the candy in, right? Like I'm buying the candy, man. It ain't like I'm I tried to conceal it in my jacket. So you never left the store? I never left the store. I'm walking in the store, man. All right, boss. Take a seat for me and just kick your shoes off. This is crazy, man. Oh, man. Can't find a conclusion, man. And then stand up for me real quick. Turn around. They'll lift up your left leg. Look. Yep. All right, B. You can sit down. Can you just take off that watch? What did you just pull? Yeah, just pull it. He was placed under arrest. An onseen investigation revealed he tried to take items worth a total of approximately $135 and then tried to leave without paying before he was stopped by store security. A search incident to arrest located two plastic containers that both had a white rock and powdery substance, a glass cylinder with steel wool and burn marks. He was then transported to police headquarters. He was charged with possession of CDS, shoplifting, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
