on July 29th 2023 in the village of swo Wisconsin officers were dispatched on reports of a vehicle that had gone into a ditch the driver identified as Joshua reportedly fled the scene of the accident before returning and being questioned by officers eventually officers cleared the scene about an hour later dispatch received another call from Joshua stating that the vehicle was smoking and that he was concerned it may start on fire it was determined the car would be towed and Joshua stated he wanted water the officer on scene told Joshua he could walk to a nearby gas station for water Joshua stated he would go but changed his mind multiple times before being told that he needed to make a decision after another hour dispatch received another call from Joshua stating that he did not feel well officers once again made their way to his location like if this say I need help what does that mean what do you mean any need help I feel like I'm going to die what does that mean yeah he has has no me to do it if he would just go take a leak he might be better well right now he's just he's got that standoffishness to him and he's very jittery yep um so he's calling 911 again right now asking for water cuz we w't give it to him okay so miss if you hey Josh you got a citation for misuse of 909 not get the off and work with these guys do you understand you don't have far to go I told you that before joshh I'm trying to work with you you are literally two blocks away to go get some water I'm to pass well guess what I'm going to issue a citation for misuse of 911 then start walking to the [ __ ] gas station I don't know how else to handle this you are wasting these guys time all right the tool truck offered you a ride you said no Jennifer offered you the ability to do it you said no how many other resources do we have to worry about I don't know I don't know what else to do like I feel sick then work with these guys to hospital that's not my decision but when they try and help you you're standoffish and now you dial 911 because you need water you're not that [ __ ] stupid that's the only person I can call what are they going to do they're going to call and have us show up and they're going to provide you a triage to give you an option to go somewhere Josh I get that so then why did you call again I don't know am I supposed to work with these guys let them take your pulse all that other stuff if you have to relieve yourself for the 18th time go down in the weeds and let it drain none of us are going to Care you at least call Jennifer again please she can't she's going to go to [ __ ] jail if she does she told me that I'm marry dispatch can you send me one more non emergent if you don't want any medical attention we me all right so it just seems like he's he's kind of set on he's feeling better now he's thinking that he might walk to the gas station and try one of their f but he just wants to go somewhere and I think I'm just going to walk to the gas station I guess you're still okay with it yeah I mean I want you to make adult decisions yeah I know I'm trying what's what's withholding you from making adult decisions right now I'm high I know getting your [ __ ] straight for your family that's what I'm trying to do but I can't get a hold of anybody and I need some water oride so go suck some water from a hose the gas station the sweating the profuseness the inability to focus all everything is clear 100% day that you're [ __ ] up I know this like I said before I've got 13 years on the job I'm not a [ __ ] idiot and you're treating me you're high as and you got to piss he called 91 again right in front of the the other office of here basically water he doesn't want to go to the hospital he just wants to ride to his friends can't get a hold of anybody just keeps call one go get some water out of there that's what I tried to tell you when we were there that's what I told you when we were there this is the third contact okay be an adult sidewalks all the way over there you're free to go I go now go get out of here take a leak get some water find a ride you're able to do it if something escalates where this happens again dude the rain too what oh yeah yeah yeah all right guys we're going to clear audio then 10 minutes later dispatch received another 911 call from Josh what's up Josh I don't know I'm just like I'm super stressed out I'm super nervous I just want some water I feel like I can't get there get where to this gas station why not I don't know it's just like I don't know what it is I can't call it like I don't know like I don't know what else to do can we try calling my mom again no oh she didn't answer the last time either how you doing officer he so what do you thinking what should I do no it's a matter of what I should do honestly M goosh I'm at that point it's out of your hands is it anti Brewery open no well a little later I think they are is there anything else open besides the shell incident has been on this side of the line at all that sucks Joshua was taken to the hospital where a legal blood draw took place before he was taken to jail he was charged with and found guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced to 30 days in local jail he was also given citations for OWI first offense and misuse of 911 [Music]
