He's going to start to I know rifle and shield up. On February 21st, 2025, at around 3:50 a.m. in Anchorage, Alaska, police responded to reports of a suspicious truck parked at the Hampton Inn on West Tutor Road. What started as a routine check quickly spiraled into a full-blown hostage crisis. Officers soon learned the truck had recently fled from a traffic stop and the driver, 41-year-old Pui Puya Allelua, was holed up in a hotel room with a woman and four children. When police approached the room, Allelua threatened to shoot officers and open fire through the door, not once, but twice. With lives at stake, SWAT was called in, triggering a high-stake standoff. What happens next is all caught on multiple body cam from the different officers involved. The chaos, the tension, the push to rescue innocent lives. Watch as this intense hostage rescue unfolds and stay tuned until the end for an update on everyone involved. Encourage police dispatch. I have a vehicle I have a vehicle parked on one of my properties and it looks stolen. The columns busted out and everything. I have a license plate. Yes, ma'am. Go ahead. J as in Jack. V as in Victor. X as in X-ray. 35 8. 358. Yes, ma'am. Anybody in it? Um, I seen two gentlemen walk away from it and go into the hotel. They went into the hotel like 3 minutes ago. I'm sure I could uh get uh the lady the description and she could give you guys the their information in the room number. Okay. So, let's see here. It's not stolen, but um it does look like officers are looking to talk to it. So, just bear with me here. Nice. Well, I am or I'll say it's not literally stolen. That doesn't mean it's not stolen, especially with the things that you're saying about it. It just means as of now, the owner has not called it in stolen. What color type of vehicle is it? It is a gray GMC truck or Chevy truck, early 2000s. With a gray uh topper on the bed of it. And this is where parking lot. So, it's in the parking lot of the Proare Home Medical next to the Hampton Inn. Where is it? By the right weapons. What does he have? What kind of weapon? 21 alpha. We're going to need a 44. Our second suspect that is in the room is armed with a handgun. Officers attempt to make contact with Alua, at which point they realized he's armed and potentially holding hostages, turning the situation into a dangerously volatile one. Don't come in. Don't come in. Come to us. I'm shooting. He's got a gun. Got a gun. There's a gun. He's got a gun. Close the door to the backdrop. I can't get those kids out. Close the door. Close the door. All right. He just slammed the door shut. We have saw the gun. He's holding the kids hostage as well as the adult female. There's no safe backdrop. As officers get a clearer view into the room, they see the woman and children directly in the line of fire. Allelua threatens to shoot, but with the kids in the way, returning fire isn't an option. Their only hope is to talk him down, but that fails when he slams the door shut, escalating the danger even further. Don't come in. Don't come in. Come to us. I'm shooting. He's got a gun. He's got a gun. There's kids. He's got a gun. He's got a gun. He's got a gun. There's kids in the backdrop. There's kids in the backdrop. Get those kids out. 10:33. 1033. He's pointing a gun at us. He's got All right. He just slammed the door shut. We have saw the gun. He's holding the kids hostage as well as the adult female. There's no safe backdrop. There's too many kids. There wasn't. No. SWAT arrives on scene and a crisis negotiator begins speaking with Alleua, but the call is abruptly cut off. Moments later, Aliua fires more rounds through the door, escalating the standoff even further. You guys are sitting up. Okay, so nobody nobody is coming in right now. Okay, Poy, I want to I want to let you know nobody is coming in right now. Right now, our biggest focus is trying to make sure that you're safe, that auntie's safe, and that the kiddos are safe. Are you guys call will be recorded? Are you still there? This call is no longer being recorded. Wait, can you hear me? through the door. Yes. Yes. Yes. Brown came through the door. I know. Rifle and shield up. Allelua fires through the door again. forcing SWAT to attempt a breach. But the entry fails, leaving the hostages still trapped inside. I'm breaking the door. shoot at us. As Aliua fires more rounds through the hotel room door, SWAT officers take cover in a room across the hall. With the door already weakened from the earlier failed breach, they know time is running out. The decision is made. They move in. SWAT quickly gains entry and finds Allelua hiding between the two beds. Officers are forced to engage, fatally shooting him. It's a tragic end, but they were left with no choice. Their top priority was rescuing the four children and the woman whose lives were in immediate danger. You're okay. You're okay. As SWAT makes entry, you can see the clutter and obstacles Allelua placed, likely to slow officers down or create a potential kill zone. Inside, he's seen using the woman as a human shield, prompting officers to take swift action and neutralize a threat to save her life. Room entry against an armed suspect is one of the most dangerous situations officers can face. Thankfully, none of the officers were injured and all five hostages, the woman and four children were rescued without physical harm. The emotional trauma and long-term psychological impact on those kids and the woman is something no one should have to endure. What are your thoughts on this incident?
