On July 9th, 2025, officers were called to a Naperville bar on July 9th after reports of a battery. They arrived to find a woman who was clearly operating on a different frequency than the rest of planet Earth. She started a loop that would make a broken record feel sorry for itself. Instead of a simple investigation, [music] the police were met with a spelling bee contestant from hell who couldn't quite get the letters right. It was clear from the jump that this wasn't going to be a simple night for cops. She's about to go to jail, so listen. Give me your ID or you're going to go to jail. Give me your ID. Give me your ID or you're going to go to jail. >> [music] >> I'm sorry. Please let me go with my ID. Let go. You need to get off my phone. You need to get off my phone. Hands on your back. Okay, sit like he's asking you to. >> I'm not. NO, SIT DOWN. YOU DON'T NEED TO CALL THE SHERIFF. I'M SITTING DOWN, BUT DO NOT arrest me. Sophia turned the phrase, "I have my ID." into a platinum-selling broken record. She screamed it so many times that the officers probably started hearing it in their sleep. She was completely detached from reality, but she made sure everyone knew she did, in fact, have an ID. You're about to go if you don't listen. Sit down. If you have MY ID >> TO FIGHT MY PARTNER. Sit down before you get hurt. >> BECAUSE YOU TRIED TO DETAIN ME. YOU TRIED TO DETAIN ME. YOU TRIED TO I'M NOT TRYING TO DETAIN YOU. You are detained. Find out. I have my ID. Is there a lesson to this? Arrest me. I HAVE MY ID. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN. WHAT'S your Is your FIRST NAME SOPHIA? YES. >> SOPHIA. Here's the deal. We came in here to investigate a battery, okay? We came We asked for your ID. So, WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE who's investigated? [laughter] If there's a hundred person in here. You're not giving us an opportunity to do that. You're resisting us. No, I didn't. I just said you shouldn't arrest me when there's a hundred person in here. I will sue. Okay, that's fine. How do you pronounce YOUR NAME? ALTREY. A L T r e y The guy you tried to bite the police officer. I DID NOT BITE YOU. YOU HAVE A CAMERA. THERE'S a d there. You have a camera. I did not try to BITE YOU. SO WHY ARE you handcuffing me? >> to bite me. Okay. I tried to. Of course you You say that in court. You say that in court. You say that in court. t r e How do you spell out What's that again? t l r e y How do you pronounce it? That's how you That's how you spell it. You want to listen to what's going on or not? You said someone called you? Yes. Where's the Okay, so you said someone called you. >> Yes. Who? The establishment. Who's the establishment? What's the name? What bar are you in right now? Banchero What bar are you in? What do you mean? What bar is this? What do you mean? The establishment. The bar that you're in. >> This is Banchero. Spell the name. b a n c r The situation turned into a literal spelling bee when she tried to spell out a name for the report. It turns out she was so drunk she couldn't even spell out a name properly. Her [music] life probably peaked at a fourth grade spelling bee because she was struggling with basic [music] vowels while trying to act like a legal scholar. The officers were just trying to get the facts, but she was busy failing her own literacy test. l a n c r >> staff here at a bar near you. And so are you fighting a woman I did not fight a woman. They also said that you took her stuff which is on you when we came in contact with you. You did. >> You took the phone. I did not. >> yours and the wallet's not yours. THAT'S WHY I'M MAD because I did >> your hands. They were in your hands when I came into contact. No, I did not. And then you're not listening when we're asking you if you're ready. You're being detained. >> No, I gave you my ID. That's why you had it. >> You did not. >> That's why you have it. >> You did not. We had to take it out of your purse. NO, I ASKED you to not detain me because I would give you the ID that's in my bag. >> She's got her phone phone in our faces now. No, I asked you to not detain me because I would give you the ID. Mr. S L G I E Don't talk to them. Call your lawyer. Call your lawyer. Call your lawyer. Call your lawyer right now. Call your dad and call your lawyer. Mr. G You're not a team. Call your lawyer. You're not part of this. Go. Is that his name? How do you pronounce your name? Officer Celik. Officer Celik. And how do you pronounce your name? The phone that you have right now the ID that you have right now is my name. Put it in your car. Hey, stop yelling. You You don't call the shots. You're about to go to jail in about 3 seconds if you don't SHUT YOUR MOUTH. >> BUT I UNDERSTAND THE LAW AND I KNOW that your LAW HAS INFORMATION ON MY NAME. PUT IT IN YOUR CAR. And whose phone is that? Put it in your camera. IF YOU DID IT >> HOW OLD are you? >> I will swear to the law that you did not Mr. S L You're too old to be acting like THIS IN PUBLIC. >> L I G did not put his phone into the camera. You're in handcuffs cuz you're acting like a child. No, I'm handcuffed because you two did not know the law and handcuffed someone. Sophia's biggest mistake was thinking she knew the law better than the people wearing the badges. She kept demanding to know why she was the only one being investigated while threatening to sue everyone in sight. It was hilarious to watch her try to [music] lecture the officers on legal procedures while her own brain was still buffering. I felt like you were about to say something else. What what else are I did not commit a crime. I did not commit a crime. Is it against the law to try to bite an officer? What? Yes. No. Could you go to jail right now? Yes. No. Are we trying to work it out elsewhere elsewhere? Yes. No. So if you want to keep acting like a child and keep talking and running your mouth we don't know what you're talking about, you go to jail. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave this establishment. Yes, I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. I'll leave. At this point, lucky for you, the woman that you fought with doesn't want to press charges. The bar wants you out of here. You'll be let out in handcuffs and you're going to leave. You come back here, you go go to jail for trespassing. When you go home I want you to Google I want you to Google trespass laws. I want you to Google battery. I want you to Google assault. I also want you to Google what a battery is. And then hopefully hopefully next time you come out and drink If you keep touching ME LIKE THAT, YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL FOR BATTERY. What are you talking about? >> Don't grab my hand like that. What are you talking about? You just squeezed my hand. I did not squeeze It's time to act like an adult. I did not squeeze my hands. Get out of the bar. What happened to my all my ID? That's the same thing that you came in here with. You need to leave the bar now. You need to leave this establishment. It's not time to go outside. Just when it seemed like she might finally exit, she decided to call 911 on the police officer standing right in front of her. Some people just don't know when to take the L and keep moving. They gave her every chance to walk, but [music] she chose to double down on the drama. Leave the bar now. Why are you calling 911? Because you guys are cops. >> 911. You call 911, you go to jail. Okay. Leave the bar. Now. Leave. You have 3 seconds to start walking. Leave the bar. They've given you 3 seconds. Stop. Stop this. No, I need your name. They have given you multiple warnings. If you don't leave the bar, you will get arrested. Good. You're not allowed back here ever again. I'll let you Yeah. Leave the [ __ ] bar. She doesn't listen. Trust me. I'm not used to the There you go. There you go. Hands behind your back. We told you to stop calling. I'm under arrest. You're You're under arrest. >> me so many chances to act like an adult. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. Do not resist. You're under arrest. You're under arrest. What? Number one, false 911. Number two, resisting arrest. Number three, the store officers right here. What is your issue? You need to act like an adult. Yeah, you don't know how to act like an adult. >> you 100 times We even gave you a chance to leave. We could have taken you to jail 20 minutes ago. For trying to bite an officer, for resisting, for failure to identify, and now you're calling 911 multiple times. We told you not to call 911. It's false alarm. It's disorderly conduct. I'm not sure where my friend is. She called 911 asking if we were real. Okay, so listen. No, what is the real? Sarge, we're going to cut her purse off. All right, Sarge, we're going to cut her purse off. Huh? You can get your purse off yourself. Just Just Just go to jail with that. Just watch it. In the end, Sophia's night didn't end with a cab ride home, but with a trip [music] to the station in the back of a squad car. She proved that you can't argue your way out of a crime, especially when you're too busy acting like a toddler. Legend has it that she still saying, [music] "I have my ID" to this day while sitting in her cell. The woman was officially charged with trespassing and resisting arrest after her spectacular performance at the bar. [music] She had multiple opportunities to leave quietly, but her obsession with her ID and her refusal [music] to follow simple commands made those charges inevitable. It's a classic case of someone talking themselves into a pair of handcuffs [music] when the exit sign was right behind them. If you think this woman needs to swap the law books for a basic [music] spelling guide, make sure to smash that like button.
