On July 9, 2025, officers responded to a battery report at a bar in Naperville and encountered a highly intoxicated woman named Sophia who repeatedly shouted that she had her ID while refusing to cooperate with the investigation. She struggled to answer basic questions, even failing to spell a name correctly, while claiming she knew the law and threatening to sue the officers. Despite being given several chances to leave peacefully, she escalated the situation by arguing, refusing commands, and even calling 911 on the officers standing in front of her. Her behavior ultimately led to her arrest, and she was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest after turning a simple investigation into a chaotic confrontation.
