On May 6th, 2025, officers responded to a verbal disturbance involving a female subject operating a motorized golf cart. The subject was observed yelling at a parking attendant and appeared to be under the influence. Here are the events that unfolded. Hello. Hi. Hi. How are you? Are we having a problem? Inside the DUI processing room, the woman was read her Miranda rights for a second time. She acknowledged them, but declined to answer questions and refused all field sobriety exercises. After receiving a tailor warning, she again confirmed her understanding, but continued to refuse. She initially declined to provide a breath sample, but changed her decision after being read implied consent. A 20-minute observation period began at 12:37 p.m. During that time, she made verbal threats toward the officers. At 10:02 p.m. and 105 p.m., she provided two breath samples, both registering a blood alcohol level of 0.282, more than three times the legal limit. She was informed of the results, turned over to jail staff without further incident, and signed her DUI citation acknowledging her court date. As a result, she was formally charged with driving under the influence, corruption by threat to a public servant, resisting arrest, and also making threats to law enforcement. Her case remains open.
