All three individuals were charged with possession of undersized yellowtail snapper, possession of undersized mangrove snapper, possession of an undersized hogfish, and possession of undersized mutton snapper. Ivan accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 18 months of probation during which he is not allowed to fish or dive in Monroe County waters. He was also ordered to complete a total of 60 hours of community service with the option to buy out the time at $10 per hour. He was required to complete a Florida fishing regulations course and paid $313 in fines and fees. Roberto and Alexander's charges were dropped as part of the global plea deal. While the document does not state specifics, it is likely that Ivan accepted full responsibility for all of the undersized fish.
