come check you out already yeah I guess they did okay all right when you they they cleared you what I don't know what they did I don't know okay all right um so I guess we could just start from from the beginning okay so I'm here to investigate the use of force I'm not I'm not here to investigate chares okay okay all right so can you kind of explain to me why we're in the situation that we're in something happened to my fiance okay what's your fiance's name Caitlyn Lewis Kon Lewis okay and that's the one who went to the hospital yes sir okay okay go ahead I'm sorry we called for ambulance MH we went to go take over ourselves and we seen the ambulance and we pass the cruiser and seen the ambulance okay so we turned around when we get out of the car they bombard me okay like like trying to Corner me were you driving or were you no I was in the passenger seat administering CPR to my girl okay does she have any health issues yeah she's got pre- clamps and she's pregnant okay so pre- clamps yeah okay so you guys show you guys show back up yeah you get out of the car the officers approach you are they questioning you or are they you know I don't know what they're just they're not doing nothing okay okay they're just sitting there trying to get her to like to see if she's coherent or anything I don't know okay so then what happens next they they they they go to put her in the ambulance and I go to they ask what's what hospital she's going to and I walk away to go to the hospital to be with my girl and then I get around the corner they pull over chase me down punch me in the mouth tackle me okay hold on take the hospital I'm saying but were you going to walk there okay so you're going to walk they told me I wasn't allowed any the ambulance with her yeah that that's that's afd's rules that's not ours okay so did you ask the officers maybe if they can transport you or you just decided that you were going to walk and that on my way to the hospital to be your best mode of transportation was walking okay so I guess we get to the part when the officers so they meet you around this this area correct and then why is it that when they pull in front of you you took off you take off running can you just kind of just explain to me why I wasn't running I was just walking fast trying to get to the hospital okay so you're walking fast and did you hear the officers telling you to stop running I really I really wasn't paying attention I was just worried about my girl so you you don't remember hearing the officers tell you hey stop running come here none of that I won't even running so when they catch up to you what happens they punch me in the mouth tackle me okay so just just the one punch and the tackle I don't know I can't remember in the face and then to the ground okay then when you on the ground they handcuffed you on the ground yeah okay any anything happened after the handcuffs or did they what happened after you handcuffed I can't remember you can't remember you remember them standing you up walking you back to the cruiser maybe um okay so they stood you up walked you back to the cruiser and put you in put you in the back of the cruiser and that's when EMS came out and you know uh evaluated you right okay okay so I I I guess just what what I'm trying to figure out is and maybe maybe you can explain this to me and I obviously I know I know that you have you have a lot going on but if the officer show up on scene and your wife or fiance they already know that she's going to the hospital why do you think your best mode of transportation would have been to walk rather than ask the officers hey can I get a ride to the hospital to be with my fiance what if I can't ride in the ambulance why would the police give me a ride to the hospital well that guy said that's afd's policy that's not our policy we give people all the ride all rides all the time sir yeah I ain't never seen it okay well just because you've seen it doesn't mean it's not the truth I wouldn't lie to you right say you're I just a never seen it right okay and then once they like you said you don't you don't remember them asking you to stop running or okay so the body cam isn't going to show you running away from the officers cuz you know we all have body cams I just want to make sure that you're not lying to me on body Camp cuz you know I have to you know I have to review this use of force yeah I just you know I feel like we've we've we started off on a good foot where I just don't want this relationship if we cross paths in the future to be tainted because of a lie that you I just trying to cross the street to get to the other side officer okay so you're just trying to cross the street they tell you to come back here you continue to walk I was walking fast you're walking fast but you weren't running no not i r okay all right okay and then do you do you feel the sergeant had to revisit the hospital to conduct another interview with a suspect who was subjected to another use of force by the officers this action was necessary as the individual continued to resist arrest and engage in physical altercation with the police necessitating their transport to the hospital Mr David can you talk to me remember Sergeant Ray I was just out there with you on uh in hey David can you talk to me brother are you able to talk I know I'm sorry I don't know you don't know if you're able to talk said I'm Sergeant Ray I'm here to investigate the the second use of force that you've had today with our officers are you able to talk to
