[Music] On July 30th, 2023, Officer Adams and Yakal of the FWC were on water patrol in Lake Huntley located in Highlands County when they observed two subjects on a dock. One was fishing with a rotten reel while the other man was overseeing a small paddle boat. Since the two men are actively engaging in fishing, law enforcement can request to see their fishing license or ID without probable cause. So, keep that in mind if you're a fugitive from the law and enjoy some fishing. Waiting on a couple other home boys to come on down. All right. Y'all catching them up out here? No, for [ __ ] We just like we just got down here. Yeah. Okay. Buddy brought us down here and just s the thing on on the dock. Okay. Is this your your boat? Yeah. Okay. Well, a friend. Well, you know, it's it's my boat in the process cuz I'm trying to talk a friend send it to me. Right. Right. Like, man, long as you take care of it, you know what I mean? So, Right. I got you. How y'all got guys going on, man? It is weird, man, to see y'all down this way. Really? The reason why I say Reason why I say that is because the only time I normally see is like say like if it's a like if they having like a little small like little local bass tournament on the lake or something like that. Oh yeah. I mean that but other than I normally see guys like at the the locks around there and everything like that a lot exploring the area and getting some familiarization. So I'm just fig I'd stop by here and check it out. So nice peaceful y'all down here actually. Well, I'm glad to hear that. Quiet. Now we know we save at least one. Hey, there there we go. Do y'all got uh Well, I see you fishing. You got your fishing license? Oh, come on, man. I don't. Okay. Okay. I'm being honest with you. I don't sit here. I don't. Okay. But this is what I want to know. Can I fish with a pole instead of like So, the one that you're fishing with right now, you do have to have a fishing license to fish with, right? So, a cane pole that is an exemption with a cane pole if you don't have a retrieval device for the for the fishing license. So, no matter if it's like it's one of like say if it's one of those telescopic poles, if it has if it has a retrieval reel or a crank or something like that where you can retrieve line. Correct. So, a natural bait. Yeah. A natural bait. So, any of those are fine to are fine to fish with without a license. Uh but with the retrieval devices, you do have to have a fishing license. Um Okay. I get away with a warning this time. Have you do you have you had a fishing license with us before? I haven't. Okay. Do you have your ID on you? Yes, sir. All right. that over. Well, you know what? That's You know what we doing later on today? Yeah. Do you have a uh sell one on your way to buy one now? How much are they? $17. Okay. Cuz you could make me one, right? I can't, but you can go on your phone. You can go on your phone and get one or you can go to the uh tax collector or like Walmart or something and they and they can do that. What I was going to say, go to Walmart. That's my deal. Yeah. Well, I I tell you one thing. As soon as I can get one, I will. Yeah. It won't I It won't be another time you catch me, I won't have it. Right. Right. I can guarantee. But before for the sake of today, if you don't have one today, I can't can't let you go fishing, you know, or just letting you know, you can't fish without one. So, you know, that's that's up to you. Um, and then with your boat here, so with that trolling motor, anything that's that's not powered by yourself, like, so if you're you got the pedal boat here, so if you're just pedaling with it, it's fine without the without registration. But if you got that trolling motor on and hooked up to the battery, you got to have it registered with the state. Okay. Honest to God, to be honest, I only reason why that troller motor is here is because I actually wanted to see if I actually fixed it because I had to break the cylinder down right there where the magnets at see if it'll spin because when I first got it, it wasn't spinning right. So, I was just messing with it. I end up breaking the little shaft how this head supposed to come in and come out. Okay. But other than that, I just brought it just to put it on my battery and just turn it on, see if it I wasn't going to I mean, it it has a thing for it, but I wasn't going to put it on. Right. Right. Because I I do know because I used to have a boat. Okay. So, as long as it's if I'm powering the boat like pedaling like correct, I'm good. Correct. And you have a life jacket. If you got to have your life jacket whistle and light flashlight vest. Yeah. Light too. A lot of people don't know that. Yeah. Do do you have the life jacket on though? It's at my house. I do have I do have two for for for this particular but it's at my house. Well, I'll tell you now. We actually they're not going to do you any good if we actually wasn't going to take it out. Okay. Okay. I'm going to take your one on it, but make sure make sure you just keep it with your boat so that way you know cuz it's not going to do you any good at your house if No. If you fall overboard, right? So, um definitely make sure you have that cuz even the strongest swimmer can can can uh have one of those moments like oh. And what's crazy is like I'm going tell you like the the half the time that I have been out here like living on in Highway Park and stuff, it ain't even the alligators I be worried about. It's the goddamn moccasins, man. We got some moccasins out there. Really, man? So big, man. Really? Yeah. Yes. Super long. Super large. I'm talking about like them [ __ ] be gers about this big. They almost got those. They almost look like them little short short little what it is. Like the little like the pikman back rattlers or whatever. You know how like the diamond bags the big the Well, not the real like the long males. But when they're like about this big, them is like this. Yeah. Yeah. Tobin, do you do you have your ID on you as well? Um I don't but I can give you my name. Yeah. Let me get your name, date of birth. My name is Ivan the terrible. No, it is Ivan. It's Ivan. Ivan. Okay. And I did once upon a time ago uh had fishing license. Okay. I'll be right back with y'all. Okay. Yes, sir. All right. Oh man. This one. The officers head back to the patrol vehicle and run the two men's names. And dispatch informs them that Mr. Blue has an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support. Uhoh. Let me talk to you for a minute. Yes, sir. Just let me just stand over here while we're talking to him. Okay. Yes, sir. Let me talk to you real quick. I need to talk to you. Okay. You say right here. It's fine. Talk to you. Talk to you. Go ahead. Hang that up. Hello. Hey, babe. Uh uh. Hey, check out. Yep. Hold on, man. Wait. What's the problem? Just hold just go ahead and hang the phone up so we can talk to you. I'm talking to my wife, though. I want to make sure everything is safe like she know what's going on. Okay. Well, let me hold this and talk to her. Okay. All right. Go ahead. Turn around. Mr. Blue, I have a warrant for your arrest for pay child support. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Get on the ground. Get your hands behind your back. Yes, sir. Get your hands behind your back. Get your hands out. Get your hands out. Get your hands out. Stay there. Get your hands out. Hey, but off. Get your hands out, but Hey, but get your hands out, bro. Get your hand out. Please, bro. Help me. Get your hand out. Please help me, bro. Get your hand out. Get him on there. All right, on your feet. Do not run. He's going to gather up all your fish and stuff and take it. You okay with that? Yes, sir. You want him to have your stuff? Yes, sir. Hey, buddy. Please. I need something to drink, bro. No. Stand up. Sir, I'm telling you about I won't say no. Just breathe. Nope. Stay here. Just breathe. Hop up. Stay here. Don't tell no lie. Hey, but uh please man, call my mama. Stay here. Move back over here. No. Move back over here. Stand up. I'm about to fall out. No, you're not about to fall out. I got high blood pressure. Okay. High blood pressure is not going to make you fall out. Turn around. Okay. I'm going to get it. All right. I don't want y You have anything on the on these that's going to poke me, stick me? Yes. What do you have that's going to cover me or poke that? That's what I was trying to take, sir. Okay. That's what I was trying to take. You got him. While searching Mr. Blue, a 22 caliber handgun was discovered in his front right pocket and a small crystal-like substance found in a bag that we will later discover as fentanyl. [ __ ] Anything else on you? I know you said you got something. All right. What is that really? Hold on a second. One second. Let me get something. Hang on. We'll let you get some in a minute. Is the speed clean and all that? Check everything. You're not taking anything in the truck, are you? Nothing else. Nothing else. I need a drink. We'll try something in a minute. Jeez. How about you from the Can I get something to drink? We'll get you in a minute. Going to turn all the way around. Let me buck you in, bud. Want you to be safe. I'm about to pass out, so I swear to God, man. I'm not faking, man. I got high blood pressure, so All right, just hold tight. Let me get the AC cranked for you. We'll get you some AC. Okay. Don't spit on me. I swear to God, I won't your head, right? Huh? Got on your head? Yeah. What's going on? All right. Are you requesting EMS? Need medical help. Do you want an Do you want an ambulance? 73 22 1048 22 for just a minute. You just want something cold or you need an ambulance? Okay. Did you do you need an ambulance? Well, I It's hot out here. Do you need Do you need an ambulance to be checked out? Yes or no? Maybe. 7326 lately. 726. Subject is requesting EMS. Um, just to be sure what he says. Just feeling dizzy. Says he had high blood pressure. While in the patrol truck, Mr. Blue complained of high blood pressure and he started feeling dizzy. So, Officer Adams requested EMS and Highland County Sheriff's Department for assistance. I'm going to put these together. I don't know what y'all do with the test kits. We usually throw them away, but y'all I'm still learning it all, so it'll be good. 5 um.5 g is just possession of fentanyl control substance. It's felony, but Okay. Um is just possession. Okay. 5 g of fentanyl. Shortly after, Mr. Blue was transported to a hospital in Lake Placid and later released back into the FWC's custody. While being booked into the Highland County Jail, a small bag of green leafy substance fell from inside of Mr. Blue shorts, which I'm not surprised because Mr. Blue actually stated he had marijuana to the officers while he was initially being searched, but they didn't they didn't find it. I I think I think one of these officers is new. In addition to being booked for an outstanding warrant, Mr. Blue was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, fentanyl, and resisting an officer without violence.
