On January 27th, 2026, the Nassau County Sheriff's Office received a report of suspected theft at Hillyard Middle Senior High School in Florida. The allegations involved former bookkeeper Jennifer Fol, who was responsible for handling money collected for school clubs and activities. According to investigators, Foliott kept a portion of that cash, then used payments intended for other clubs to cover the shortages. School officials reported approximately $144,000 in losses, including more than $2,000 in allegedly personal purchases through the school's Amazon account. Detectives also identified 148 cash deposits totaling over $124,000 in her personal bank account. >> Hey bud, sheriff's office. >> 1012 with a white male. >> Yep. Hey, boss. Hey. >> Hey. What's going on? What's going on? >> Is your mom here? >> Uh, she is. >> Yeah, we need to talk to her. >> All right. Give me just one moment. >> Mhm. >> Hey, Miss Jennifer. >> Hey, ma'am. How you doing? >> Hey. I'm a little sick. >> Little sick. >> Oh. >> All right. So, here's the deal. Right. There's a warrant for your arrest. Okay. So, I'm trying to afford you the opportunity to put on something a little bit more comfortable, right? So, that way whenever you come walking out to the colds, though, you're not too uncomfortable. All right. >> And what's the word for >> words for scheme to defraud, grand theft, and official misconduct? >> Yeah. >> I'd love to talk to you more about it. Talk in somewhere where it's not like 40° outside. >> Okay. >> Um, >> can I call my lawyer? >> Yeah, we can once once we get there. >> Okay. >> Are you okay with your hand right now? >> Yeah, I'll get changed. >> Okay. Well, here's the deal. >> So, yeah. Yeah. So, walk out here. All right. So, put your hands behind your back. We'll get your son to get you some shoes and all that. Okay. >> Hey, man. Can you get her some shoes? >> Put your hands on your back, please. >> Taking her. >> Yeah. She's got to go talk to the detectives and everything else. There's a warrant for arrest and everything. So, yeah. >> Yeah. It's a whole thing up as well. >> Yeah. Can you get her some shoes, though, so she ain't got to go on slippers? >> Can I get her some sweat pants, too? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Going to lock these handcuffs. Okay. Make sure you hurt yourself. All right. Sorry. >> Hey, boss. You're good. >> I'm on the phone with her husband right now. He's on the way home. Situation. >> I got you. Is it stepmom or something? >> That's my mom. Step. >> I got you. I got you. You just said her husband threw me off. >> I'm sorry. I just >> Can you He's on speaker now. Is there any information you can just give him give us on what's what's happening here? >> Um, so hey, the Nassau County Sheriff's Office. Um, that's the detectives right there. I was actually check Detective McDonald. Can you can you grab her phone off of the bedside table, too? So, um there's a whole case with the school and everything. There's something to do with schemes to defraud and something like that. So, that's what the warrant's for. >> Gotcha. Thought that was absolved. They had just got the like she got the court. >> I don't know what's going on, but there's more to it obviously. Um >> Okay. >> Thank you. All right. So, that's that's what this is all about. Okay. All right. Well, if that So, this kind of I have half an idea of what this is cuz we talked about this months ago if the school did press those charges. >> Yeah, >> we we know we know the details. So, this is going to it sucks that she has to go. But >> I know >> this actually will turn out better for her in the long run because it actually gives her a leg to ground stand on for >> Yeah. not running, doing other stuff and everything else. Makes sense, man. >> All right. >> So, Jennifer, my name's Dakota. Okay. I kind of sheriff's office here in the criminal investigations division. is detective Cruz. All right. We've been tasked with this with this case. All right. I'd love to talk to you about it, but of course, I don't have to read your Miranda Rice before I can ask any kind of questions or Okay. If I say anything you don't understand, if I mumble or anything of that in that nature, just say, "Hey, I don't understand." I'd be glad to repeat it. Okay. [snorts] All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have them present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney who will be willing to represent you before any questioning if you wish. You can decide any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each of these rights that I've explained to you? >> I do. Um I do have an attorney. >> Okay. >> He's not local. >> But they told me in anticipation of this to call him. Um but what they told me was that if they ever wanted to talk to me, say I'd be glad to come in and just talk. probably to bring my attorney, but >> Okay. >> I'm doing that now. >> Okay. So, I'm just going to ask you just plain and simple question. Okay. Would you like to speak with us right now? >> Yes. >> Okay. Can you kind of describe to me the job that you had at the school and what exactly like he would do from like a day-to-day basis? >> I was the secretary bookkeeper. Um, and I handled all of the admin's secretarial work. Um, handled all the subs. I handled payroll and processing and benefits, the time clock. So, I handled the accounts receivable and payable. >> Okay. While you were employed with the school, did you ever I'm trying to think of a better way to ph to phrase it, but I think that the best term would be misappropriate any kind of funds, >> right? Do you know what misappropriate means? >> To move them around. >> Yeah. No. >> So, who all has access to your naked federal bank account? Uh my husband and I have a joint one and then he has one and I have one then I'm on on my kids bank accounts. >> Okay. Do you recall making a a very large amount of transactions for an even larger amount of money over a period of about 2 to 3 years? >> I was putting a lot of money in the bank. Yeah. >> Okay. >> And that was also from the last bit of child support from my husband for my youngest son. um they wanted to move away um before he turned 18. So he wanted to just pay out his amounts that he owed. Um so he would give me that and cash you. >> How much was that approximately? >> It would be about $2,000 a month. >> Okay. All right. So how about uh does the number of approximately 125 grand deposited over 148 transactions in the time period of August of 2022 to December of 2024. Would you chalk that up to the child support? >> No, that wouldn't be all child support by any means. >> I was just a lot of selling on marketplace and trying to make a savings account didn't really work out. Um, my husband collects a lot of comic stuff. I'm sorry. I'm so sleepy. >> No, you're kid. >> Comic books and paraphernelia and stuff. He just saw a hideous rug on eBay for like 600 bucks. So, he's kind of in the buy and sell of comic junk. And it was just basically everything we were trying to pay extra or save for extra. I was trying to save it. But >> Okay. So, you're saying that this money came from child support and selling the comics? >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> And chicken eggs and furniture and >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> all that stuff. >> Okay. How much do you think you make about a month on the chicken eggs? Not not profit-wise, but just say cashwise. >> Um, I don't have any customers anymore. So, we don't make any right now, but I was up to maybe $50 to $100 a month. >> Okay. >> At one point. >> All right. So, do you see where there's there's some confusion, right, as far as this this $124,000 is a lot of money, >> right? And you're saying that you got that off of comic books, child support, and chicken eggs >> and the furniture. and the furniture that you said that you only did for from 21 to 22, which might be 20 grand of that, right? So, that still leaves about $100,000 that you're saying you made off of the comic books and the chicken eggs and child support in a twoear span. >> Yeah. I mean, I'm sure there's other stuff in there. We've bought and sold a lot of things. and bought [clears throat] and sold cars, um, metal pipes and PVC pipes for my husband's work. There's a whole lot of stuff that's gone into it. >> Mhm. >> Just what I'm trying to recall right now. >> Okay. Is there a reason why you'd break it up into doing like, you know, three transactions a day just back to back to back or four transactions a day back to back to back to back? because I was going to the ATM to put money in and it would only take certain amount of bills at one time. >> So, I'd have to put a set in and let it process and then put another set in and let it process um cuz I didn't go weren't you I wasn't usually there operating hours. It was after school or whatever and so I would have to put in 18. >> Okay. There are allegations of an Amazon account being misused. Okay. Who all had access to the Amazon account? >> I did. >> I believe there was some ordering going on from the Amazon account for things like women's products, uh, pants. There was a bed. Uh, let's see. Pants again. Pants again. A blue shirt. A brush combo. Barber shears. Does any of this sound familiar? >> I've I've seen the invoice. >> You've seen [snorts] the invoice? >> Yeah. I mean, I didn't order it, but I've seen the invoice plenty of times. >> Is there a reason why your name is on it? >> Cuz the whole Amazon account is set up under my name. >> Okay. >> With my credentials. >> Yeah. There's men's shirts, there's men's pants, >> more men's pants, more men's pants, men's belts, there's makeup. I believe there were some weight loss pills in here. See, dog poop bags, dog travel bags, artificial plants, eye cream, skin toner, fans, more plants, body lotion, stuff like that. >> Would you agree that none of that has anything to do with the school? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. Do you have any idea how those get ordered with the school's Amazon account? >> I don't know because it wasn't ordered by me. Okay. [snorts] >> Do you know who would have ordered them? >> The only people that I thought had the Amazon login were Mr. Crawford and Miss Brooke. >> Okay. Who's Miss Brooke? >> The assistant principal. >> Okay. So, let's just say that we could point the finger at somebody, right? Cuz obviously they have no issues pointing the fingers at you, right? That's why we're here right now. >> Mhm. >> Who would you point the finger at? My best guess would be honestly the login may have gotten left out on the assistant principal's desk and someone grabbed it. I don't necessarily see either the principal or the assistant principal given that. But the login might have gotten left out on her desk and somebody else could have got it. But I don't I can't picture who. Maybe. >> Yeah. Okay. So, like I said, 140 at least 144,000 that's in change is missing. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And that's just what they've been able to prove thus far. Do you have anything to do with a single dollar of it? >> Not one thing. >> Before you even took the job as a bookkeeper, there were whispers of money going missing. Then you take the job as a bookkeeper. Money continues to go missing >> and your bank account continues to go up higher and higher and higher and higher. >> Do you think that those two coalign for a reason? >> No. Just just by luck of luck of the draw. That's whatever you decided to start making deposits. >> Yeah. I mean, we both work hard. >> Nothing in this makes any sense at all for you not to have any clue what's happening. I don't know what to tell you. The Amazon stuff, I 100% did not do any of the Amazon ordering. Um, something I had asked during my arbitration hearing was for them to take the quarterly fund summaries that they gave to people and said, "Check your account when all this started." And people started saying, "Oh, wait. I'm missing a deposit here or I didn't make this purchase here." if they would look at them. My attorney's opinion was that our school accounts were kind of scrambled um at the district side. I don't know if he had the proof of that or not. Um so monies are there that they think are missing. They're just in somebody else's account. Purchases were made out of people's accounts that weren't supposed to make the purchase. Not that I did it that way, but our accounts got shuffled. There were even still transactions going on under my credentials after I was put on administrative leave. Somebody was still using my account. So, I don't know. I don't think there is as much missing as what they're saying. >> It's there. They just haven't pieced it together yet. But I didn't take any money from the school. I didn't buy any Amazon purchases from the school's account. >> So, knowing that this is what's going on, >> did you use this as an opportunity to obtain some money for yourself? >> You never took one single dollar? >> That's not true. I would trade out I traded out a lot of dollars for old dollars that came through cuz my son was a collector of old bills. >> But I never took a dollar without putting a dollar of my own money back in it. Okay. So, you're saying that you would mess with the money, but only to just collect the dollar bills, and you would then replenish whatever you took. >> Okay. So, at no point did you benefit from the system? >> At no point did anybody offer you anything in exchange for looking the other way or allowing these things to go through? >> No. So, this is a print out, okay, of your bank statements. All right. And see, your name's up there, right? That's you're correct. Jennifer L. Boladak. Okay. Let's just pick a random date. Okay, let's go with October 23rd of 2023. Okay, you go to the ATM in St. Mary's, which I'm guessing is probably the closest ATM for you, right? >> Mhm. >> And you conduct three separate deposits. One for $1,180, one for $600, and one for $840. Is there any reason that you you just randomly happen to have 25 $2,600 just laying around in a good deposit? >> No, not that's just the what has piled up the past week through three weeks, however long with stuff we were doing. >> All right. And then two weeks later, you're depositing another $1,200. And then six days after that, another $1,240. >> And then another $520 on the same day, right? Then it's $980. A week after that, 4 days later, $1,080, right? Do you see what these transactions are? Just that's a that's a lot of money. >> These aren't buildups. These aren't, hey, we're scraping, like you said earlier, scraping this together. This is what we got deposit. This isn't weeks of buildup. This is multiple multiple deposits in one day within the amount of time together. >> These these transactions occur from August of 2022 [snorts] until December of 2024. Okay, there are more transactions coming. Right, I've got I've got more on the way. Right. From this past fiscal year, right, from January 1 of 2025 to January 1 of 2026, are you still depositing this kind of money in your bank account? >> Not much. >> Okay. Why is that? >> Deposited. >> Do you not see where that's insanely weird that you're depositing an outrageous amount of money when you're employed by the school? You're no longer employed by the school and then now you're depositing less than you were before. >> No, it's not weird because I don't have an income anymore. >> Right. Which means that you should be doing your side stuff more, right? >> You said you made 30 grand. We can understand where the 30 grand after tax is. I could probably in the mid 20s. We can understand where 25 grand is going to go missing. But last the year of 2025, is this still going to be close to 120 grand or is it going to be >> No, because I lost all my friends and all of the people in the community that we were selling anything to. Everything came to a dead halt. I haven't been able to find work. Every time I find a job, somebody from the school calls them and tells them what I'm suspected of and I get let go. I don't have anybody to sell furniture to. I don't have anybody to sell eggs to. I don't have any of that. >> So, a quick a quick vouch to the community, which you know can happen at the drop of a pen. They're all going to vouch and say, "I bought a lot from Jennifer. Jennifer had so much stuff to sell. On top of that, why did you have so much to sell? How much 120 grand? A lot of your excuses that we had a lot to sell. What did you Why did you buy that much to sell? Did you have so much funds you didn't know what to do with so you started buying and flipping? Were you flipping a lot of the stuff you were buying with these profits? >> Yeah, that's the purpose of it. >> So, you you just told me you bought and flip stuff. The stuff you made from the profit right here. >> Buy junk at a yard sale. take it home and clean it up and resell it. [snorts] >> 120 grand. All these people >> are going to say, "Hey." >> Yeah. >> Yeah. She she she bought our stuff. >> Can you name five people that you sold stuff to? >> Not off the top of my head. >> Okay. You can't name five people that you conducted several thousands of dollars for the transactions with? >> Not really. I mean, it's mostly on Facebook Marketplace, so I don't have much. >> You said if it's off of marketplace, why does your name getting tarnished matter at all if it's if it's random people? These aren't your friends, correct? >> If it's all based off of marketplace, >> it's both. >> Oh, so now it's both. Okay. So, you have you have people that were buying from you that are no longer buying from you because of your your situation that you've got going on right now. Okay. This these allegations. Correct. Okay. So, with that being said, what's stopping you from just selling to people who aren't from here? Because it's nothing for Facebook Marketplace to expand the search to 30 miles and then you're way up into Georgia. You've got Baker County, you got all these, you got Jacksonville. People travel to go buy these things. >> Clearly, this is something that you're well verssed in if you're making this kind of money on it. a quick search of Facebook Marketplace, usually from my acknowledgement of it, because I've used it before, you can see what people sold. It says sold. Are you going to have like just a an immense amount of selling on your Facebook marketplace? And is that what I'm going to see? That's a genuine question because I don't know. I haven't I haven't looked at your Facebook marketplace. Are is there going to be a bunch of sold? Is there going to be records if Facebook market if Facebook is subpoenaed to see your your records of, you know, selling product? Is it going to show thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff? Is that what we're going to see? Cuz we're going to see it. >> I'm telling you, I don't know how it works. It's something's off marketplace and we put on my personal page. So, I'm going to put on his personal page. >> You know how it works. You're telling me how it works. >> But I'm asking you. I don't know what's going to be where in which section. >> Okay. So, you list it under you and your husband's Facebooks, those personal Facebooks. Do you have a business? >> No. it would it would only be underneath the two of you >> so if I go back and pull all the things that have been sold and I compare those to the data that we have here with these transactions those two are going to coalign >> to a certain extent. Yeah. >> Okay. Why would it not coalign completely >> because it wasn't just furniture. It wasn't just eggs. It wasn't just cars or anything. >> But we should be able to reasonably deduct that. you know, a reasonable prudent man would be able to look through and say, "Hey, you told us 2,000 a month in child support, right? So, let's go ahead and knock $2,000 off." Okay, then let's go back and we'll look at the transactions happen on Facebook. Let's s you sold nothing for Facebook, right? But you also told me that you sold chicken eggs, right? So, we'll take $100 off for the chicken eggs, right? You're still left with a crazy number of money that is just flowing into your bank account. >> This is your life at stake. And for somebody to be innocent or have nothing to do with this, I would be here's this. This is why this is this transaction. This is this. This is that. This is the reason why all of this is happening. And you're talking it up to I don't know. And and this is what you have at hand. You're in handcuffs. You have very high felonies on your name right now. And you're chalking up to these transactions as I don't know. you realize that doesn't I would I would love especially in this type of situation to see you be able to explain your deductions into your account. I would I would love to see that would we don't I didn't get in this job to just yoink everybody up and toss them in jail go like this and have a good day. It doesn't give me crazy amount of satisfaction seeing people in handcuffs, especially people I know and seen. And I grew up in Hillyard. It doesn't make me happy seeing these people go to jail. These are people I knew growing up and you're this is all going to be chocked up to I don't know. This is your life sitting right here and your explanation to us is I don't know. But wherever you file for your taxes, do you claim the money that you make off this stuff? >> Some of it? Yeah, >> just some of it. >> Well, not all of it. >> We don't clean the chicken stuff. Um >> I think we did the furniture and stuff cuz it was larger amounts, >> right? But the furniture ended in 2022. So from 2022 to 2024, the end of 2024. So those two those two tax income or income tax returns, right? Did you claim the money that you're depositing in the bank account? I I would have to ask my husband to help me. >> Okay. All right. Anything else? All right. So, here's the deal. I It's nothing here's made sense outside of the part where you didn't start to finally open up and explain to us that you know what was going on, that it was a big system. Everybody around you was doing it. But you all of a sudden weren't. I'm sure you know the phrase, you know, you show me your friends, I'll show you your future, right? And you've been there for six years. Your future was being surround your past was being surrounded by these people. Your future has led you up to here, right? Because every single one of them turned their back on you, okay? And you still are adamant that you had absolutely no no gain in any of this. You showed up to work every single day at a job that you hated than a job that opened you up to criminal and civil liability and a job that drug your name through the community. Are you from here? Right. Your entire life has just been dumped upside down. Over $34,000 a year whenever in your back pocket, you can easily make double to triple that at a moment's notice by just scrolling through Facebook Marketplace and restoring things >> that you just got done telling me about how your husband works so much and was so busy that he couldn't do his ATM transactions that you had to go do that. Are you doing all this remodeling and stuff? Are you doing the restorations or is your husband doing them? the tooth and like the paint and stuff. If there's any like reconstruction that needs to be done, he does it. >> Okay. So, he does it in the the very minimal amount of hours that he has available. Doesn't sleep. I'm guessing based off the amount of hours that you're saying that he works cuz you just said he works 14 to 15 hour shifts. That's that's a lot. And you're saying that he does it 5 days a week. That's that takes a toll on the body. You know, [snorts] I'm surprised he's functioning. Like that is that is very impressive. It's a very hardworking man. Okay. But it doesn't make any sense at all why he would allow you or why you would allow yourself or why anybody would allow you to be in a situation that opens the door up for this to happen if you have nothing to gain from it. So you did all of this just to get here? Did you get here on purpose? This was all for this. You're just caught in the spiderweb of fraud. And was this the goal? Is to be right here. I'm going to ask one final time. Okay. You never had a single dime hit your bank account that originated from the school. Whether it was a a gate, a gate collection, whether it was for a fund, whether it was for a fundraiser, a sports program, a club, nothing. You not one singular dollar. Yeah, >> everything. >> She was charged with organized fraud, grand theft, and official misconduct. Share your thoughts in the comments below and don't forget to like and subscribe.
