He pulled up and spoke with a woman behind the wheel of a white 2023 Nissan Sentra. That Nissan was smashed beyond repair. A 2013 Dodge Caravan and a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe took heavy hits too. They figured out later that the Nissan driver plowed into the stopped Dodge. The Dodge then rammed the Hyundai from the force. The Hyundai driver felt back pain right after. The Nissan driver turned out to be 22-year-old Beatriz Urquia. As Officer Sosnowski chatted with her, he smelled alcohol. He spotted signs she might be drunk too. Beatriz said she hadn't drunk any booze. But witnesses told him she tossed open alcohol bottles from her car. Suspicious, he had her try some roadside sobriety tests. First came the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus check. Officer Sosnowski saw her eyes jerk smooth at the edges. The twitching started way before 45 degrees. Next, she did the Walk and Turn. Beatriz missed heel-to-toe steps. She took the wrong number of paces. Her turn went all wrong. She tried a few times but couldn't nail it. He skipped the One Leg Stand. With the crash, the booze smell, open containers in her car, and failed tests, Officer Sosnowski arrested Beatriz for drunk driving. They towed her car for a 12-hour hold under John's Law. He took her back to the Freehold Township station for booking. There, he read her the standard rights for drivers. She first said yes to a breath test. But when the machine was set, she backed out and refused. After they wrapped up the paperwork, they let her go to a sober friend. She had to wait for court. Officer Sosnowski gave her these tickets: driving under the influence (39:4-50), breath sample consent (39:4-50.2), reckless driving (39:4-96), no car insurance (39:6B-2), and open container (39:4-51B). Court papers show that on April 22, 2025, Beatriz pled guilty to drunk driving. For it, she got an ignition lock on her car for three months. She had to go to drunk driver classes for a year. Fines added up to $690. They handed her a two-day jail term on hold. The other tickets got dropped in the deal. Later, on July 28, 2025, cops in Freehold Borough nabbed Beatriz again for disorderly conduct (2C:33-2A(2)) in New Jersey. 1:10 Oh look! Baby has her pacifier and is happeeee! 26:38 I love this Officer! Laughs in her face! 44:02 Extremely disturbing to think about laughing 1:16:05 Spoiler alert: you will. In about 8mos...
