On February 24, 2024, deputies in Palm Beach County, Florida, stopped 46-year-old Christina Laboy after clocking her driving more than 100 MPH in a gray Kia SUV. At first, deputies decided not to charge her with DUI and were simply going to let her call someone to pick her up. But the situation quickly spiraled out of control. Laboy went on a profanity-filled rant, shouting about race, George Floyd, “dumb immigrants,” and repeatedly insulting the female deputy on scene. She then threatened to “f*** up” an officer, resisted arrest, and kicked a deputy hard enough to cause injuries. She was taken into custody and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and corruption by threat.
