Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: Around midnight on July 13, 2022, Officer Heidi Lambley from the Pullman Police turned onto Northwood Drive from 1590 NE Northwood Drive. She spotted a silver 2009 Honda CR-V heading south in the wrong lane. The car zipped past her. Then it swerved to the roadside without a signal and stopped. Four people jumped out and started walking off. A small woman climbed from the driver's seat. Police later named her 20-year-old Alexia Bramblett. Officer Lambley approached Alexia. She asked why they parked there. Alexia said they were going to a friend's house and often left the car in that spot. It struck the officer as odd. So she launched a DUI check. Alexia confessed to drinking earlier that night. Lambley smelled alcohol on her breath. Suspecting she was impaired, the officer waited for backup. Then she had Alexia try sobriety tests. First came the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus check. Lambley noted jerky eye movement. There was no smooth tracking. Nystagmus held strong at the edge and started early, before 45 degrees. Alexia skipped the other tests. She also turned down a preliminary breath test. The signs of impairment added up. So did the alcohol smell and her own words about drinking. Her poor performance sealed it. Officer Lambley cuffed Alexia for DUI. They took her to the Pullman Police station for more steps. There, after chatting with a lawyer, Alexia agreed to a breath test. The first samples showed 0.153 on infrared and 0.164 on electrochemical. The second round hit 0.142 and 0.152. Both were nearly twice the 0.08 limit for drivers over 21. Later, after time in a holding cell, Officer Joseph Geil took her fingerprints and mug shot. He charged her under RCW 46.61.502 for DUI.
