Paramedics are on the scene of a young man who is suffering from excruciating pain in his shoulder and back. They worry he may have a serious spinal injury and rush him to hospital. Elsewhere, paramedics respond to a call of a woman who has suffered from a fall. After examining her leg they believe she has a more significant injury and call on other paramedics to help transport her to the hospital carefully. For the very first time, an ambulance has been rigged with cameras that provide a unique perspective on what it's like to respond to emergency calls. 'Inside The Ambulance' follows paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service in England as they take us right into the heart of the action. We see heroism at work in the actions of these first responders. We also enter the lives of people in crisis and learn their unique stories.
