On July 13, 2024, Roswell Police responded to a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle collided with 4 parked cars. When officers arrived, they discovered a 36-year-old woman sitting in the passenger seat of the at-fault vehicle. She was badly slurring her words and presented officers with 2 prescription bottles. Because she admitted to taking prescribed medicines before driving, she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. However, she was unable to complete them and was placed under arrest for DUI. She then refused to consent to a blood test. She was charged with Driving While Under the Influence, No License in Possession, No Insurance, and Failing to Register a Vehicle. Her case remains open with her next court date scheduled for September 11, 2024. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
