Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background James Elliott, 83, was a father and grandfather who had lived for decades at 2 Rosemount Way in North Tacoma. His wife had died about a month earlier. He was home alone. Sarah Jane Ramey, then in her early 40s, lived in the Tacoma area and had a 2012 burglary conviction. Reports show no prior relationship with Elliott. After the fire, she took a checkbook and items tied to Elliott’s late wife and used stolen cards for thousands of dollars in purchases. Theft was treated as aftermath, not a clear motive. Prosecutors described a series of fires at occupied homes. A specific personal motive for targeting Elliott’s house was not established. The Crime December 31, 2021, New Year’s Eve, 2 Rosemount Way, North Tacoma. Firefighters found Elliott dead near a back bathroom. Cause of death: smoke inhalation. Neighbors said he was awake and tried to take shelter. The fire was first called accidental. ATF later ruled it incendiary. A K9 indicated ignitable liquids. A witness first saw fire under the porch. Ramey was later convicted of additional fires in Tacoma and Ruston from late December 2021 through late January 2022, including occupied homes. Nine of the fires she was convicted of involved people inside. She also stole a Metro Parks pickup and used stolen cards and checks after the Elliott fire. The Investigation ATF re-examined the Rosemount fire after Ramey was tied to later arsons. Tacoma police and fire accepted ATF help in early 2022. Arrested January 28, 2022, after fires around January 23–26. Identified through surveillance video and a casino card left at a scene. She denied involvement after being shown video. Evidence included Elliott’s checkbook in her truck, cards tied to his late wife, a Metro Parks jacket matching footage, and about $6,293 in card purchases. Phone data placed her near the Rosemount fire for hours, then again after she returned. Searches included fire-setting, accelerants, and using someone else’s credit card. She later looked up news of the death. She denied setting the fires. A check in her name from Elliott’s account was stopped. She did not speak at sentencing. Conviction and Sentencing Charged February 2022; murder and more arson counts added November 2022. Not guilty plea. Bail $5 million. Trial began April 2024. Verdict July 3, 2024: guilty of first-degree murder, 13 counts of arson, two attempted arsons, burglary, identity theft, and vehicle theft. Not guilty of second-degree murder and of murder in the course of burglary. Acquitted on three arson counts. Sentenced July 23, 2024, by Judge Angelica Williams to 980 months—more than 81 years—an exceptional sentence above the standard range. She did not address the court. The defense referenced an appeal. true crime, law and crime network, interrogation, interrogation analysis, red thread interrogations, interrogation jcs inspired, interrogation jcs style, interrogation psychology, interrogation psychology jcs inspired, new interrogations 2026,interrogation breakdown, police interrogation psychology, bodycam, interview, case analysis, bodycam footage, crime investigation, police interrogation, suspect interview, int, interrogations 2026,interrogation videos, jcs true crime
