Around 12:00 AM on January 25, 2025, Patrolman Dominic Augello with the Lindenwold Police Department observed a white 2023 Kia Soul driving east on S White Horse Pike without its headlights illuminated. The driver turned right onto E Gibbsboro Road and swerved across lanes. He began following the vehicle, and the driver turned right onto Blackwood Clementon Road. He eventually activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. The driver pulled over in the parking lot of Crown Fried Chicken at 103 Blackwood Clementon Road. Patrolman Augello exited his patrol car and made contact with the driver, who immediately exited from the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Shamia Dickerson, immediately indicated that she needed to relieve herself. She even attempted to pull her pants down and relieve herself in front of the officer, before he placed her under arrest. Her sister, Francesca Blanton, was the owner of the Kia Soul. When her identification was checked through the system, it was determined that she had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $5,001 out of the Deptford Joint Municipal Court. Due to her behavior, it was determined that the field sobriety exercises would be administered at the station instead. When the officers also attempted to place her sister Francesca under arrest, she began resisting and spit on one of the officers. Francesca was transported separately to the station, and later taken to Jefferson Stratford Hospital for a blood draw. After the blood draw was completed, Francesca was lodged in the Camden County Jail. At the station, Shamia was first asked to perform field sobriety exercises. Following the exercises, the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators was read to her, and she agreed to submit breath samples. Shamia’s Alcotest results indicated a BAC level of 0.20%, which was more than double the legal limit of 0.08%. After they finished processing Shamia, she was released to a sober adult pending her court appearance after he signed the Potential Liability Warning on Shamia’s behalf. Patrolman Augello issued Shamia the following tickets: -Operating under the influence (39:4-50) -Reckless driving (39:4-96) -Careless driving (39:4-97) -Failure to observe traffic lanes (39:4-88) -Driving with a suspended license (39:3-40) -Driving without a license (39:3-10) -Failure to use lighted lamps when required (39:3-47A) -Open container (39:4-51B) Shamia was also criminally charged with obstruction (2C:29-1A). As of June 7, 2026, court records indicate that Shamia currently has a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court. Shamia has previously been arrested for driving while impaired in Camden, NJ on February 4, 2015. This was preceded by another arrest for driving while impaired in Gloucester City, NJ on February 7, 2012. ---------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information). This is similar to other law enforcement channels on YouTube. All videos and case documents were obtained pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. (P.L. 2001, c. 404). Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty. The New Jersey Supreme Court has previously affirmed in Salzano v. North Jersey Media Group, 993 A.2d 778 (2010) that “The fair-report privilege reflects the judgment that the need, in a self-governing society, for free-flowing information about matters of public interest outweighs concerns over the uncompensated injury to a person's reputation.” This video advances a compelling public interest. The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J. Super. 13, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court has also affirmed the right to film law enforcement interactions.
