On March 22, 2021, retired police dog Domi passed away in the arms of his loyal handler, Officer Kenneth Gardner. Domi dedicated his life to serving the Chicago Police Department from 2008 to 2017 as a patrol and narcotic detection dog. He was a brave and dependable member of the department’s K9 unit, leaving behind a legacy of service and loyalty. Domi was the last surviving member of the Chicago PD’s 2008 canine class. Throughout his career, he played a vital role in keeping the streets safe, assisting officers in high-risk situations and making significant contributions to narcotic detection efforts. His bond with Officer Gardner was one of trust and mutual respect, and he will always be remembered as a hero. Join us in paying tribute to K9 Domi and his years of dedicated service to the Chicago Police Department. Our thoughts are with Officer Gardner, his family, and the entire K9 unit during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Domi. #K9Domi #ChicagoPoliceDepartment #PoliceDog #RetiredK9 #CanineUnit #PoliceDogTribute #K9Hero #InMemoryOfDomi #HeroDog #PoliceK9 #FallenHero #K9Unit #PoliceDog #K9Life #K9Tribute #K9Memorial
