On October 28, 2023 at approximately 1:46 AM, Sergeant Ruben Harris with the Pullman Police Department was on patrol and he observed 2 females lying on the grass at Beasley Coliseum near the intersection with NE Orchard Dive and NE Fairway Lane. He exited his patrol vehicle and made contact with the 2 females. As he approached them, he noticed indicators of impairment and suspected they may have been under the age of 21. One of the females, who would later be identified as 18-year-old Mary Craig, told the officer that she was “not even drunk” despite her total lack of balance. Sergeant Harris asked Mary for her date of birth, and she continued to provide various dates while misstating her age multiple times. Sergeant Harris asked dispatch to verify the information, and they found inconsistencies. When confronted with this reality, Mary eventually provided her real name, along with her real date of birth which would indicate that she was actually 18 years old. Based on her false statements and concerns for her safety, Sergeant Harris placed her under arrest. As she was being transported to the Pullman Police Department for processing, Mary vomited in the patrol car. At police HQ, Sergeant Harris completed the Prisoner Booking Form after placing Mary in Cell C, and she cooperated and answered his questions. After Mary answered a few questions from Sergeant Harris, she was left to sober up in the cell. After few hours had passed, Officer Leggett photographed and fingerprinted Mary. Once he was done with the process, her belongings were returned to her and she was released with a summons to appear in court. Mary was cited under RCW 66.44.270.2B for being a minor intoxicated in a public place and 9A.76.175 for making a false statement to a public servant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information).
