Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 12:27 a.m. on January 22, 2024, Oceanport Patrolman Frank Skovran saw a white 2022 Audi Q5 run a red light. It turned left from Port Au Peck Avenue onto Monmouth Boulevard and headed west. Skovran switched on his emergency lights. The driver pulled over on Monmouth Boulevard. When he approached, he learned her name was Marissa Haugh. As they spoke, Skovran smelled alcohol and noticed signs that she might be impaired. Haugh struggled to find her papers. Patrolman George Peacock arrived to help. Haugh told Peacock she had driven from Red Bank and admitted she had been drinking that night. West Long Branch Sergeant Jeffrey Hanlon arrived next to assist with sobriety tests. The officers asked Haugh to step out of the car. They suspected she was over the legal limit. Hanlon started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Skovran then led the Walk and Turn. Haugh missed heel-to-toe steps, failed to count aloud, and stopped before completing the turn. The One Leg Stand was last. Haugh did not lift her foot as instructed, so officers ended the test quickly. Her erratic driving, the smell of alcohol, her admission, and her poor test results led to her arrest for driving under the influence. Neither officer was trained to use an Alcotest. Skovran took Haugh to the West Long Branch Police station for further testing. At the station, officers read her the standard statement for drivers. She agreed to provide breath samples. The Alcotest recorded a BAC of 0.232%, nearly three times the 0.08% legal limit. After testing, officers released her to a friend, who signed the liability warning on her behalf. Haugh received tickets for driving under the influence (39:4-50), reckless driving (39:4-96), careless driving (39:4-97), failing to obey a traffic signal (39:4-81), and obstructing traffic (39:4-56). She had already faced a DWI arrest in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, on March 31, 2023. Her third DWI came in Little Silver, New Jersey, on April 18, 2025. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
