Officers respond to a late-night disturbance outside the iconic Flagler Tavern in New Smyrna Beach, Florida — but what starts as a fight between two women quickly escalates into a felony arrest. According to the arrest affidavit, 37-year-old Victoria Rivera of Palm Coast was allegedly seen shoving her friend into a wall multiple times. When officers attempted to intervene and separate the two, Rivera reportedly turned toward a uniformed officer and pushed him in the chest with both hands. That single action changed everything. Despite her friend refusing to press charges and officers noting signs of alcohol impairment, Rivera was immediately detained and charged with Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, a felony under Florida law. The entire incident was captured on police body-worn camera footage. Rivera was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail and booked on a no-bond felony. Per county records, her next court appearance is scheduled for January 6, 2026, at the Volusia County Justice Center for a pre-trial hearing. This video presents the full, unfiltered bodycam footage from the scene — allowing viewers to decide for themselves. 📌 Was this a moment that deserved a warning… or did the shove justify the felony charge?
