On September 15, 2024, Middletown Township Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a pole. Patrolman Mania arrived first and discovered the 23-year-old driver outside of her vehicle talking to her mother on the phone. The woman admitted that she had consumed an alcohol beverage earlier in the evening. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. She was transported to the police station, where the police report indicates she blew a 0.139% BAC. She received citations for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Traffic on Marked Lanes. She was released to the custody of her mother, but not before throwing a profanity laced tantrum related to the number of citations she received. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
