Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background Brooke Lynn Crews (then 38) lived in Fargo, North Dakota, with her boyfriend William Hoehn in an apartment above Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind (22). Savanna was eight months pregnant and lived in the same building with her parents. The two women knew each other as neighbors. Crews had faked a pregnancy earlier in 2017 to keep Hoehn in the relationship. After he discovered the lie around early August 2017, she later testified that he told her she needed to “produce a baby,” which she took as an ultimatum. Prosecutors and Crews’ own admissions described the motive as obtaining Savanna’s child to present as their own. The Crime Date: August 19, 2017. Location: Crews and Hoehn’s apartment in Fargo. Crews asked Savanna to come upstairs under the pretext of helping with a sewing project. Savanna texted her mother that she was going there. Crews later admitted she pushed Savanna during an argument, then used a blade to remove the baby from Savanna’s abdomen while Savanna was still alive and fading in and out of consciousness. The infant (later named Haisley Jo by family) survived. Savanna died of homicidal violence. A medical examiner identified blood loss as the cause; whether other acts contributed could not be conclusively determined. The body was hidden in the apartment (initially a closet, later a hollowed-out dresser), then wrapped and dumped in the Red River. Kayakers found it on August 27, 2017. The Investigation Savanna was reported missing the same day. Police searched the upstairs apartment multiple times on August 19–20 and found no obvious signs of a crime. On August 24, after learning of a diaper purchase and comments that the couple had a baby, police returned with a warrant and found the newborn in the apartment with Crews. Crews was arrested there; Hoehn was arrested separately. Crews first told police Savanna had given her the child after inducing labor. She later admitted she had taken the baby and had opportunities to turn the infant over but did not. Physical evidence included discarded bloody towels and shoes (Hoehn admitted disposing of some items). The couple had shopped for baby supplies and referred to the child as theirs. DNA confirmed the baby was Savanna’s. Accounts between Crews and Hoehn differed on timing, who did what after the attack, and how much planning occurred beforehand. Crews later testified at Hoehn’s trial; some of her claims were disputed by other witnesses. Conviction and Sentencing December 11, 2017: Crews changed her plea and pleaded guilty (open plea, no agreement with prosecutors) to conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and giving false information to law enforcement. Bail was revoked. February 2, 2018: Judge Frank Racek sentenced Crews to life in prison without the possibility of parole on the murder-conspiracy count, 20 years on the kidnapping-conspiracy count, and 163 days on the false-information count. At sentencing she apologized, saying there was no excuse. The judge imposed the maximum available on the lead charge. She remains incarcerated under that sentence. true crime, law and crime network, interrogation, interrogation analysis, red thread interrogations, interrogation jcs inspired, interrogation jcs style, interrogation psychology, interrogation psychology jcs inspired, new interrogations 2026,interrogation breakdown, police interrogation psychology, bodycam, interview, case analysis, bodycam footage, crime investigation, police interrogation, suspect interview, int, interrogations 2026,interrogation videos, jcs true crime
