Near Slocum’s Bowling Alley, he spotted a white Jeep matching the caller’s description heading south on Pennington Road. When the vehicle began swerving, Officer Miller turned on his lights to stop it. The Jeep stopped briefly at Olden Avenue. The officer got out and tried to make contact, but the driver sped off. After a short chase, she pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot at 1760 Olden Avenue. The officers quickly approached the driver, who was identified as Victoria. They told her to get out of the vehicle. Victoria explained she was trying to go home after work. As Officer Miller spoke with her, he caught the smell of alcohol and noticed signs of impairment. Suspecting she was drunk, he asked her to do some field sobriety tests. Lieutenant Richard Herbe began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. Victoria then attempted the Walk and Turn test but was unable to finish it. The last test was the One Leg Stand. During this test, she struggled to raise her foot properly and almost fell several times. Because of her traffic violation, the alcohol smell, and her poor performance on the tests, Officer Martin arrested Victoria for driving under the influence. Her vehicle was taken and held for at least 12 hours under John’s Law. Officer Martin then took her to the police station for more processing. At the station, Victoria was read her rights but refused to give a breath sample. After processing, she was released to her brother, who signed a form agreeing to her release on her promise to appear in court. Victoria received several tickets that night. She was charged with driving under the influence, refusing chemical tests, reckless driving, careless driving, and crossing marked lanes. She also faced a criminal charge for fleeing from officers, listed as eluding under 2C:29-2B. Court records show she was arrested before, on April 16, 2020, for a DWI in Ewing Township. 1:39 Work there, or are a customer? 1:40 ohhh I guess the Detox Center 9:55 no they aren’t going to let you go! 10:04 I'm trying to help 'these people'. 11:24 well at least she was polite and compliant and not nasty .... 17:11 That was brilliant….. 24:28 the other people arguing with the cops in the lobby …..
