On June 20, 2025, Roswell Police Detective Castillo conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had allegedly struck the curb numerous times. The vehicle was being driven by a 38-year-old woman. Suspecting that the woman was impaired, Detective Castillo called for a traffic unit to respond and Officer Morales arrived shortly thereafter. The woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was subsequently placed under arrest and was transported to the Roswell Police Station. She provided two breath samples, which registered 0.13% BAC. She was charged with (1) Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor (2nd Offense) (DWI); and (2) Failure to Maintain Traffic Lane. On January 20, 2026, she pleaded guilty to the DWI charge. The other offense was dismissed. Her sentence included probation for 2 years.
