Dunn Makes a Surprise Announcement On July 13, 2024, Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Dunn made a traffic stop on a vehicle after clocking it speeding at 86 miles-per-hour (MPH) in a 65 MPH zone. He made contact with the 21-year-old driver, who initially denied consuming any alcohol. Sgt. Dunn asked the woman to exit her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. During the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, the woman appeared to faint and she fell to the ground. She was assisted back to her feet, but fell again as she was being walked to the back of the police vehicle. Union Township EMS was dispatched to assess the woman, but she refused to be transported to the hospital. She was placed under arrest for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) and was transported to the Ohio Highway Patrol Post. She submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.131% BAC.
