Around 5:49 PM on January 23, 2025, Officer Goodwin with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded to the area of Davis Street and Davis Estates Road on a report of a female who was running around people’s yards naked after abandoning her vehicle on the road. She arrived on scene and made contact with a female who was lying down in someone’s driveway. Officer Ward arrived on scene shortly afterwards and located a red 2018 Nissan Altima that had been abandoned on the road. Around the same time, Officer Goodwin transported the female to the location where she had abandoned her vehicle. The female identified herself as Amy Floyd. As she was interacting with the Amy, Officer Goodwin observed indicators of impairment. Officer Ward asked her to blow into a PBT, and it showed that her BAC level was at more than double the legal limit. Field sobriety exercises were not attempted due to her state of mind. Following the results of the PBT, Amy was placed under arrest for DUI. After placing her under arrest, Officer Ward read her the Georgia Implied Consent Notice at the scene, and she agreed to submit to a breath test. Amy was first transported to their downtown substation for the administration of the breath test. Amy’s breath test results indicated a BAC level of 0.188%, which was more than double the legal limit of 0.08%. After the breath test was complete, Amy was transported to the Clarke County Jail. She was booked into the Clarke County Jail and issued the following summonses: -DUI (40-6-391(a)(5)) -DUI - Alcohol (40-6-391(a)(1)) Amy was eventually released on a $3,000 bond pending her court appearance. On November 18, 2025, Amy pleaded guilty to the charges. As a result of her convictions, Amy was sentenced to 48 hours of confinement, 12 months of probation, and 40 hours of community service. She was also required to pay a total of $1,394 in fines. Court records indicate that Amy has previously been arrested for the following incidents: -1st Degree Burglary (16-7-1(B)) and giving false information to law enforcement (16-10-25) on November 20, 2013 -DUI (40-6-391(A)(2)) on May 30, 2019 ----------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting our channel (email us for more information).
