Del Norte County Smith River California On July 4, 2024, in Del Norte County California, Highway Patrol officers were patrolling Highway 101 in Smith River California when they observed a car pull out from Beckstead Avenue in front of another car and almost cause an accident. The officers conducted a traffic stop on Fred Haight Drive and suspected the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers conducted field sobriety tests and a (PAS) preliminary alcohol screening test. Marissa Andrea-Laurae Vargas provided two adequate breath samples, and the readings were: Test - 1: .121% Test - 2: .123% Marissa Andrea-Laurae Vargas was arrested and booked into the Del Norte County jail on the following charges: 23152(A) - DUI Alcohol/Drugs 23152(B) - DUI Alcohol W/BAC Above .08 #delnorte #crescentcity #chp #dui
