What started as a routine traffic stop quickly escalated when the suspect attempted to flee on foot, leading officers to search the nearby area... The situation escalates when the driver runs from officers. After he is detained, officers discover four small bags containing cocaine hidden inside his ankle sock, along with $2,067 in cash. The 51-year-old driver was charged with resisting an officer without violence and possession of cocaine with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver. He later entered a no contest plea and was adjudicated guilty. He received two days in county jail for the resisting charge, followed by three years of drug-offender probation, random drug testing, and substance-abuse treatment requirements. His driver's license was also suspended for six months. Watch the full bodycam footage to see how a simple headlight stop escalated into an arrest and serious drug charges.
