DWI Arrest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-4v1oaK9nA Domestic Violence Incident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTolH34BJBw Around 7:50 AM on May 6, 2026, Officer Todd Cremer with the Mount Laurel Police Department observed a blue 2019 BMW sedan that was being driven without any valid registration on Route 38 near Ark Road. He activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over into the shoulder. Officer Cremer then made contact with the driver of the BMW, who was identified as Gina LaPlaca. Gina is currently a Democratic Commiteewoman who serves on the Lumberton Township Committee, and she has previously served as the Mayor. He informed her that her registration was not valid, and Gina seemed surprised. She also advised the officer that there was nothing wrong with her license. He returned to his patrol car with her documents to run her through the system, and learned that her license was suspended due to a prior drunken driving arrest. When Gina was questioned about it, she seemed surprised about her license suspension as well. She even blew into her ignition interlock device during the traffic stop. Even though her registration was not valid and her license was suspended, Officer Cremer decided to not tow the vehicle. He advised her to pull into a nearby parking lot and get a ride instead. Gina was issued the following the traffic citations as a result of this traffic stop: -Driving with a suspended license (39:3-40) -Driving with a suspended/revoked registration (39:3-4) Gina has previously been arrested for driving while impaired in Lumberton Township, NJ while she was the Mayor on March 17, 2025.
