On October 1, 2023, in San Pedro, Los Angeles, Harbor Division uniformed officers received a radio call regarding a child custody dispute at Gaffey Street and Capitol Drive, in a local store parking lot. Apparently when the child’s foster parent and his friend April Barnes went to pick the boy up from a visit with his mother, the mother refused to turn the boy over. Ms. Barnes reportedly said that the mother wouldn’t give him back, that she was suicidal and had a gun. Worried, April and her friend called 911 to get help. #policeactivity #hitandrun #momsbehavingbadly Watch the latest Police Body Cam footage of exciting arrests.
