Second DUI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebwk0UNNlQs Around 12:53 AM on February 20, 2021, Deputy Charles Bigby with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office observed a white 2018 Toyota Corolla speeding at 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone as it was headed northbound on the Green Bridge. He began following the Toyota and activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. The driver pulled over at the 700 block of 8th Avenue West in Palmetto. He exited his patrol car and made contact with the driver of the Toyota, who was identified as 19-year-old Kayla Craig. There were 5 occupants inside the vehicle and Kayla claimed that they were hanging out in a church parking lot. She initially denied consuming any alcohol earlier that evening, but she would later admit to having 1 drink at a party earlier that evening. Based on his suspicion of impairment, Kayla was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exercises after Deputy Judd Beckwith arrived on scene to assist. Her poor performance on the field sobriety exercises confirmed the Deputy’s suspicion of impairment, and Kayla was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. After Kayla was placed under arrest, she was transported to the Manatee County Central Jail. At the jail, she was asked to submit to a breath test and she agreed to do so. Her breath test results indicated BAC levels of 0.177% and 0.170%, respectively. After the breath test was completed, she was charged with DUI BAC over 0.15 pursuant to 316.193(4). Kayla was eventually released pending her court appearance after she posted her bond in the amount of $120. Court records indicate that on September 17, 2021, Kayla pleaded nolo contendere while her DUI citation was downgraded to reckless driving (316.192(1)(a)(5)). As a result of her conviction, she was sentenced to 12 months of probation. She also had to pay $1,706 in fines as a result of her conviction. Kayla was later arrested again for her second DUI by the St. Petersburg Police Department on September 6, 2025. After her second DUI arrest, she blew a 0.168% and 0.170%, respectively. ---------------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information).
