This episode follows police on patrol in four cities across the world from the hours of 8 pm to 2 am and we're examining alcohol, drugs, and disorder. In Auckland, a violent man with a machete is threatening his neighbours. As New Zealand police do not carry guns, the dog squad and a taser officer are called in to assist. 24 Hours: Police compares frontline policing on the violent angry streets of four international cities - San Francisco (USA), Auckland (New Zealand), Perth (Australia), and Oslo (Norway). Police are filmed in action in the same 24-hour period in these four cities on the worst night of the week. Witness first-hand what life is really like for them and see the differences in policing methods and overall crime statistics in each city.
