Want to read the police reports? Consider becoming a super supporter! Incident Information: On December 28th, 2024, deputies in Monroe County, Michigan, were dispatched to a 911 call regarding a suspicious person loitering on a porch. Prior to arriving, the unknown subject left the area. It was also discovered the subject had stolen a parcel from the porch. Shortly after the initial 911 call, a separate caller, located just a short distance away from the initial call, reported a man was in her driveway, was screaming at passing vehicles, and had made homicidal statements. The responding deputy arrived while the caller was still on the phone with 911. He was immediately confronted by the suspect who quickly became aggressive. Less than a minute into the interaction, the deputy attempted to detain the suspect. A knock-down-drag-out fight ensues for roughly a minute and a half before the deputy resorts to lethal force. Four shots are fired at the suspect, who succumbs to his wounds on scene. The deputy was transported to hospital for non life-threatening injuries. The suspect was identified as Brian Donald Miller. He had been released numerous times on relatively minor bonds and continued failing to appear for court. At the time of this incident, Brian was wanted for several cases from Washtenaw County. There was no motive released for Brian’s actions.
