On October 22, 2025 around 12:07 AM, Officer Fong with the Boca Raton Police Department responded to Neiman Marcus (5860 W Glades Road) on a report of an employee being detained on allegations of theft over a period of time. He arrived on scene and made contact with Yomayra Alvarez, the store’s loss prevention employee. Yomayra noted that she observed the alleged thief, soon identified as Juliana De Villiers, ringing up alterations and concealing multiple items. On October 20, 2025 in particular, Yomayra observed Juliana ringing up alterations for Relaxed Denim Clean shorts valued at $129.00, while attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise. Juliana was confronted over the discrepancies on October 22, 2025, and she admitted to repeatedly stealing from the store over the past 7 months that she had been employed there. The total value of stolen items was estimated to be $1,964.35. Some of the items Juliana allegedly stole include the following: -Jacket, valued at $595.00 -Shirt, valued at $295.00 -Ribbed Shirt, valued at $110.00 -Denim, valued at $201.60 -Illuminate Shirt, valued at $337.50 Officer Fong read Juliana her Miranda rights, and she eventually admitted that she had been stealing from Neiman Marcus over the past few months. She attributed her decision to financial difficulties that she was experiencing. Based on the store’s allegations and Juliana’s confession, she was placed under arrest. After she was searched in detail by another officer, she was placed in handcuffs, escorted to the patrol car, and initially transported to the Boca Raton Police Department. Once they finished processing her at the station, she was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Juliana was charged with the following: -Organized Scheme to Defraud (less than $20,000) (Florida Statute 817.034(4)(a)(3)) -Grand Theft (Florida Statute 812.014(2)(c)(1)) After Juliana was booked into the jail, she was eventually released on a $10,000 bond pending her court appearance. ---------------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information).
