Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 1:28 AM on May 12, 2025, Officer Jared Prendeville spotted a black 2009 Hyundai with no headlights near the Route 206 circle. He turned on his lights and pulled the car over to a side road. The driver was 23 year old Ingrid Mejia-Barrera. While talking to her, the officer smelled alcohol and noticed she seemed impaired. Ingrid said she was driving home from Faraones Night Club in Plainfield, NJ. She told the officer she worked as a bartender but denied drinking. Later, she admitted to having one beer a few hours before. Because she seemed drunk, police asked her to step out for sobriety tests. Officer Alyssa Myrnyj ran the tests. Ingrid could not follow the directions, which confirmed the officers' suspicions. Due to the smell of alcohol and her poor test results, Ingrid was arrested for DWI. Police impounded her car for 12 hours under John's Law and took her to the Raritan Borough Police Department. At the station, Ingrid agreed to give breath samples after hearing the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. The local Alcotest machine was broken. Officers had to drive her to the Bridgewater Township Police Department for the test before returning her to Raritan. Once processed, a sober adult signed a liability warning for her, and she was released. Officer Prendeville gave Ingrid five tickets: operating under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, maintenance of lamps, and a probationary licensee violation for driving after hours. Court records show Ingrid was found guilty of DUI on March 4, 2026. She had to use an ignition interlock device for 3 months and spend 12 hours at a resource center.
